I just called the bovaird location to check for ticket prices and the lady who answered the phone said she was very busy. What do you mean? I thought you are a travel agency?

Customer service is excellent - I went to the Hurontario location and always deal with Chitra. She is extremely courteous and helps my family book tickets.

HORRIBLE travel agency with inept agents

I highly recommend that you DO NOT go to Gill International Travel. They give HORRIBLE customer service a whole new meaning. Combined with the fact that they are unable to make simple, proper bookings (ie. place families together and account for same number of baggage there and back), I am surprised that they are still in business. The stress that I and my family has had to go through on account of this agency is tremendous and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Low prices with even lower customer service

I traveled to India for the first time this winter and used Gill International. My trip was 3 weeks long and as we neared the end of our trip we ran into some issues. Gill International operates by contacting various agencies throughout India to book your flight, room, driver and tour guide. In a small city, we were assigned a drive who did not speak English, insisted we shop only at stores he received commission at (tourists end up paying for the high margins) and ruined our entire day because he didn't know where the places were on our agenda (provided by Gill International). We requested for a new driver for the next day who conveniently did not show up. As a result, we called and complained to our contact at Gill International and after many calls, complaints and arguments no one was willing to take accountability for the catastrophe. We asked for a refund/reimbursement for ruining two days on our trip but they thought it was unreasonable. In fact, our contact decided to yell at us and made my fiancée cry. As a peace offering, they GENEROUSLY paid for our $10 lunch. If you're looking for a cheap deal with no customer service or accountability, this is the place for you. Otherwise, don't bother.

How do I change my flights?

We have negotiated many different types of agreements with different airlines; thus, the rules and restrictions for exchanges and cancellations vary greatly if allowed at all. When allowed, airlines require that we collect a fee for the exchange plus any difference in fare when necessary. Exchange fees start at $125 USD and go as high as $350 USD. We must insist, however, that you do not book an itinerary for the exchange. Please keep in mind that all exchanges must be on itineraries provided by the same airline that issued the original ticket. In some cases, the airline may restrict or deny exchanges requested with as few as seven days before departure.

If your condition is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 60 day period before coverage is effective under this Plan, then you may be covered if you have to cancel. Even the best-planned travel can be impacted by unforeseen sickness, or medical emergency, delayed flights, passport theft or baggage delays. Troubles can occur when you least anticipate them forcing you to cancel or interrupt your trip, lose your ticket investment, and incur unplanned expenses. By purchasing a travel protection plan, you are protecting your trip investment against the unknown.

Do I have coverage if my luggage does not arrive at my destination?

We will reimburse you, up to $200, for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles purchased by you, if your Baggage is delayed for 12 hours or more during your trip. We will also reimburse you up to $50 for expenses incurred during your trip to expedite the return of your delayed Baggage. This coverage terminates upon your arrival at the return destination of your trip.

How do I book an infant fare?

Infants, under the age of 24 months, traveling within the United States travel at no charge as long as they are seated on an adult’s (over 18 years) lap. Only one infant is allowed to travel as a lap child per adult (over 18 years).

Infants traveling internationally will be required to pay a percentage of the adult fare (in most circumstances), plus taxes and carry a paper ticket even though they are traveling on the adult’s lap. How do I select my seats?

You can request seat assignments at the time of booking. When submitting traveler details during booking process, please select “Seat Preference” in the additional requests area

If you have already completed your booking, please click the” Request Seat” link which appears under the flight details on your itinerary confirmation e-mail. If pre-assigned seating is available, a seat map will appear.

Although we pass your seating request to the respective airlines (wherever applicable), we cannot guarantee that the request will be honored.

How can you assure me that you shall find me the cheapest airfare deals?

When booking with Gill Travels, we want you to be confident that you have found a great deal. That’s why, if you see a lower price (including taxes and fees) for the same flight itinerary offered and available for booking on a Major OTA Competitor’s site same day of the booking up to 10 PM, we will match that lower price by refunding the difference in price, or if you prefer, we will cancel your booking with us for a full refund.

That’s our guarantee. Now here’s the fine print: The same itinerary means that each and every element of each offer matches; airline(s), flight number(s), itinerary, date(s), number of customers and seat type. “Offered and available for booking” means that the itinerary you found is actually live on a Major OTA Competitor’s site and available to be booked by the general public at the time you contact us, as determined by our customer service representatives. The guarantee does not apply to fares offered on membership program websites, corporate discounts or rates; group, charter, rewards program, incentive, meeting, convention, or consolidator fares; or fares available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public.

Military, student, government, tour operator, bulk, vacation package or “Web Only” fares are excluded. The guarantee does not apply to “opaque” tickets (where the airline booking details are unknown until after purchase) or tickets issued under a “bidding” or “auction” model.
