Making Your Vacations Memorable with PADDLE! The Florida Keys
The location was easy to find and plenty of parking, the cost was adequate and having a small group meant more time for questions and customized experience. The trip started with a small safety briefing, then we moved on to tips for better and more efficient kayaking. Throughout the entire trip the guide looked out and pointed out wild life, while providing lots of information about the area, culture and environment. I highly recommend "Paddle the Florida Keys"
This is the only place to properly PADDLE! the Florida Keys! Don't be fooled by impostors. Scott and his crew are the best. I've been out with them on the weekly locals night when their generosity benefits our local food bank. You just know when you walk in that this is much more than a business. These folks are there to make sure you have a great time and they are very good at it.
We went to the Paddle! the Florida Keys and rented paddleboards. Based upon the advice of the staff, we went down a long narrow channel in the ocean that eventually opened into a large lagoon. Very peaceful and getting through the mangroves was tricky at times, but made it all the more enjoyable tackling the challenge. Afterwards we went to a small island about 400 yards offshore that had a swing and hammock. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Joe guided us on the 2 hour eco tour and we had a fantastic time. Joe is knowledgeable about the various local ecology, including the numerous fish and crabs we encountered on our mangrove trip. It was one of the highlights of our vacation and is a must for anyone looking to get outside and unplugged. All the folks at Paddle the Florida Keys were awesome, and Joe absolutely ROCKS! Thanks for a great time.

“We arranged a standup paddle tour with Jen and had a wonderful time! None of us had SUPd before and she was very patient and a gifted teacher. She is also very knowledgeable of the local wildlife, sealife, and plants and pointed out interesting things for us to see. The manatee in the canal seemed to recognize her! It was the highlight of our trip and now we all want to buy boards.”

Child Eco-Education
Enjoy the best Islamorada eco-tour with Captain Charlie aboard the TIKI TIKI, as part of the three-hour boat charter (or incorporated into a full- or half-day charter).
As a full-time elementary school teacher for the past 15 years in Miami-Dade County, I can make sure each child receives an eight-hour, hands-on marine eco-education like no other – if this is what you would like. Weather permitting, we can snorkel, kayak, or wade ourselves into all three marine eco-systems and their multiple personalities; the living coral reef, the mangrove islands, and the ocean’s seagrass life. To assist the visual learner, fish, coral, and sealife identification cards cataloging every species in every habitat will be available.
There are many lessons to be learned aboard the TIKI TIKI. For example, there is snorkeling, fundamentals of fishing/casting, kayaking, boating regulations and marine life identification which may be as educational to the adult as it is to the child. I have been eco-educating my elementary students since 1999 without a single scratch, fall or accident because safety is my first concern. I encourage all children under 10 years of age to wear a life jacket while boating, snorkeling or kayaking.
I provide unlimited sunblock for all aboard, as well as towels and a loaner pair of polarized (amber) sunglasses for children and adults alike. One cannot truly appreciate all the marine life, shallow water exploration, and blue/green color changes without a pair of polarized glasses of your own.
This Islamorada eco-tour is a great part of your day with Key Largo Adventures.
