Do Indians need a visa for China?

Yes, to visit China as a tourist, Indians must apply for a China tourist visa, commonly known as "L-Visa". This visa category allows independent tourists and those travelling in groups to enter the country.

The China visa for Indians requires a few documents that you must submit:

Valid passport: Ensure your passport has a minimum validity of six months and at least two blank pages.

Passport copies: Provide photocopies of the front and back of a valid passport, including additional photocopies of your previous passport that has expired within the last 5 years.

Visa form: The visa application form should be accurately completed online on the provided site, then downloaded and printed.

Previous Chinese visa: Submit a photocopy of the previous Chinese visa for Indians if applicable.

Passport-size photographs: Include two recent passport-size photographs with a white background (48mm×33mm).

Proof of funds: Include an original bank certificate displaying the applicant's account number, balance, and personal details.

Travel arrangements: Submit proof of travel arrangements, such as flight tickets and hotel reservations .

Itinerary or travel plan : Include a copy of the itinerary or travel plan for the trip to China.

Letter of invitation : If applicable, submit a letter of invitation from the Chinese host or travel agency, including all relevant details.

Cover letter : Your cover letter should include the purpose, dates, places to be visited, and details of the inviting party.

Certification letter from your employer: This letter should include details such as the employer's name, contact number, and the applicant's income statement.

Visa application jurisdiction

How to apply through the government website

The application is partially online. Applicants must complete the visa application form online, submit it in person at the China visa application centre, and complete the visa application there.

Here are the application steps you must follow to submit the China visa for Indians:

Go to the official government website: Fill out the online application form with accurate information. Upload the necessary documents, such as a passport, passport-sized photo, and supporting documents based on your travel purpose.

Visa appointment scheduling: Once your online application is complete, schedule a visa appointment through the website. Choose a convenient date and time for your appointment at the designated application centre.

Submission of application on appointment day: Visit the designated application centre on the scheduled appointment day and submit your completed application along with the required documents. You will receive a pick-up form specifying the time to collect your visa, usually between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM on a later date.

Payment of visa fees: Pay the applicable visa fees using the designated payment methods. Keep the payment receipt safe, as it will be required during the visa collection process.

Collection of visa: Return to the application centre on the specified date and time to collect your visa. Present the payment receipt and any additional documents as instructed by the authorities.

Tips to apply

General Information

1. The Embassy of India and its Consulates in China issues various types of visas to Chinese nationals and to the nationals of other countries. The initial step is to fill the visa application form and submit along with the required documents and fees. 2. Visa applications are accepted directly from the applicants as well as through their authorized representatives. 3. The applicants or their authorized representatives should submit their visa applications together with all relevant documents and fees at the Embassy or its Consulates in China between 0930 hrs to 1200 hrs on working days. 4. Those holding Diplomatic/Official Passports should submit their visa applications at the Embassy/Consulates between 0930 hrs to 1200 hrs on working days. 5. All other Visa applications are to be submitted at India Visa Application Center. 6.The intending traveller/visa applicant should apply online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in 7. The applicant has to take a printout of the online visa application form and a signed copy of the same with all relevant documents as required for the particular type of visa are to be submitted. https://eoibeijing.gov.in/eoibejing_pages/NDM , --> 8. In addition, the applicant will also have to submit an undertaking, the form for which is available at here --> 8.The prospective visa seekers will need to visit the IVAC for the purpose of capture of biometric data. It may be noted that the following visa applicants are exempted from capturing of the biometric data. a. All diplomatic passport holders. b. Applicants who are eligible for diplomatic and official visa. c. All visa applicants, regardless of the type of passport, who are more than 70 years old or less than 12 years old. 9. Important Advice: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India has prescribed health and quarantine regulations to be observed by all international travellers arriving in India, which can be found here . here (English and Chinese). The List of countries from where travelers need to follow additional measures on arrival in India can he found  here .--> All travellers are advised to study, familiarise themselves with and observe these guidelines as applicable. Passengers should ensure, in particular, that they fill the necessary self-declaration forms and provide the necessary undertaking etc. well advance of their travel.

Advisory II: Prohibition on the use of satellite phones in India: Use of satellite phones is banned in India; unauthorized possession & use is a punishable offence. All foreigners visiting India are advised not to carry any kind of satellite telephone into India.

    1. Starting from 6 July, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in India will update application procedures and material requirements as follows:

    1.1 Please visit the website of Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi (https://bio.visaforchina.org/DEL2_EN/) and fill in your detailed and true information on the online application form and the confirmation page. Then make an appointment with your application form number following the system instructions.

1.2 Submit all the required documents in person at the Chinese Visa Center in New Delhi at your appointment time and retain ten fingerprints.

*The following applicants can be exempt from fingerprint collection:

a. Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;

b. Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Chinese Embassy in India or the Chinese Visa Center in New Delhi with the same passport；

c. Applicants with all fingers mutilated or uncollectible.

1.3 Application Materials:

a. Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China.

b. Confirmation Page of Online Visa Application.

c. Original passport valid for at least 6 months, with 2 or more blank visa pages, and the photocopy of relevant pages of the passport.

d. Expired passports within 5 years and the photocopy of relevant pages of the passports.

e. Recently-taken color passport photos (full face, front view and bare head. Size: 48mm×33mm).

f. Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination with verifiable QR code.

g. Indian long-term residence visa or work permits (for citizens of a third country)

h. Other necessary materials required by the Chinese Embassy in India and the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi.

i. Materials for different visas are as follows: 

j. For emergency humanitarian visas other than those mentioned above, such as those for funerals or visits to critically ill relatives in China, the identity documents of the deceased or ill relative (e.g. foreigner's passport, etc.), a death certificate or a certificate of diagnosis, critical illness notice issued by a hospital, proof of kinship, etc. shall be submitted.

    2. The above visas are processed through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi. Please consult with the Visa Center in New Delhi or its website for details of the procedures, requirements, processing time and fees.

    3. Diplomatic and official visa applications can be submitted to the Chinese Embassy in India. Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic, official or courtesy visas can be exempt from fingerprint collection.

    4.The Chinese Embassy in India reserves the right of explanation. If there is any inconsistency between the present notice and the previously released ones, the latest version shall prevail.

• Dear applicant, please be informed that India visa application Center in Beijing is temporarily closed due to pandemic situation and restrictions.

Important Notice: Prohibition on Unauthorized Use of Satellite Phones

• This is to inform all visitors to India including foreign nationals that bringing in or using satellite phones (e.g. Thuraya, Iridium etc.) in India without prior permission / license from the relevant Indian authorities is prohibited under Indian law.
• Any passenger carrying satellite phone/ phones via baggage is required to declare the same to Customs on arrival and produce permission for use from the concerned authority.
• Any individual found to be in possession of an unauthorized satellite phone in India is liable to be prosecuted as per Indian law, and all unauthorized sets found in possession of the individual will be seized by Indian law enforcement agencies.
• Visitors and tourists coming to India are advised to comply with Indian laws and not bring in or use satellite phones in India without obtaining specific permission / license in advance from the concerned authorities.
• In compliance with the preventive measures and guidelines issued by local Authorities, the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), operating out of its premises at Room No. 1122, 11th Floor, No.3 Maizidian West Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing will resume its normal operation with effect from 06 June, 2022. The prospective visa seekers are advised to visit the IVAC for the purpose of capture of biometric data.
• It may be noted that the following visa applicants are exempted from capturing of the biometric data:
• a. All diplomatic passport holders;
• b. Applicants who are eligible for diplomatic and official visa;
• c. All visa applicants, regardless of the type of passport, who are more than 70 years old or less than 12 years old;
• Dear applicant(s): In light of the local government’s advisory regarding the prevention and control of spread of COVID-19, the building management of visa application centre is in strict compliance and visitors will be requested to provide green code and nucleic acid test report as per latest guidelines set by local government. • Dear Applicant(s): Starting from 2nd May, 2022, Chinese nationals and foreigners travelling to India from China are requested to appear in person to give their biometric data at Indian visa application centre in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou at the time of submitting visa application.

Visa Services

General Information

1.  The Consulate General of India, Shanghai issues tourist, business, employment, student, entry and other types of visas to Chinese nationals and to the nationals of other countries. The initial step is to fill the visa application form and submit along with the required documents/fees.

2.  Visa applications are accepted directly from the applicants as well as through their representatives, including travel agents.

3.  Those holding Diplomatic/Official/Public Affairs Passports should submit their visa applications at the Consulate between 0930 hrs to 1200 hrs on working days.

4.  All other Visa applicants are to be submitted at:

Timings (Monday to Friday)

• Submission of visa applications:         0900 hrs – 1500 hrs
• Collection of passports:                        0900 hrs – 1730 hrs

A service charge of RMB 32.01 (inclusive of taxes) per application will apply in addition to regular visa fees.

Important Note:

The India Visa Application Centre provides visa application support service onlyand they have no power or influence over the outcome of an application. The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by the officers at the Consulate General of India, Shanghai. Shanghai India Visa Application Centre staff will provide visa information, but they cannot and will not offer immigration advice. If India Visa Application Centre staff claims to be able to influence your application, you should notify in writing to the Consular Wing at the Consulate General of India, Shanghai.

Important information:  In view of the COVID pandemic visa services have been modified to take into account health advisory. Detailed guidelines are as follows:

1. The applicant will have to submit an undertaking, the form for which is available at  here .

2. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India has prescribed health and quarantine regulations to be observed by all international travellers arriving in India, which can be found here (  English ,  Chinese ). All travellers are advised to study, familiarise themselves with and observe these guidelines as applicable. Passengers should ensure, in particular, that they fill the necessary self-declaration forms and provide the necessary undertaking etc. well in advance of their travel.

China Tourist Visa (L)

Most travelers to China are required to get a China tourist visa, L visa for short, which allows them to travel freely in most parts of China as tourists, assuming that they do not qualify under the  visa-free policies of China . Passports, application form, and documents showing the itinerary or an invitation letter from China are the essential application documents.  

In most cases, a tourist can get a single entry L visa with a stay duration of 30 days. UK, US, Canadian, Brazil and Argentine citizens are able to get a 10-year China tourist visa with multiple entries. If travelling with an organized tour group, you might not have an individual visa in your passport.  Instead, the tour group will be issued a group tour visa bearing all the members' names. In such situations supply your details to the travel agency beforehand and you will have no further concerns.

If travelling independently, you need to handle visa affairs on your own. The process is not complicated if you follow the guidelines below.  

China Tourist Visa Requirements & Documents

1. passport.

- Your passport  with at least 6 months remaining validity and available blank pages, and a photocopy of passport's data page.  

2. Application Form

- One accurately completed China Visa Application Form. Please fill in every column of the application form. If the application form is not filled out truthfully, completely and legibly, there could be a delay in processing or refusal of the application.  

3. Recent Photo

- A recent passport-size color photo with white background.  

4. Round-trip Tickets Plus Hotel Bookings or Invitation Letter from China

- Documents showing the itinerary including proof of round trip tickets booking and proof of hotel reservation. - Or, if you are being invited to China, you can submit an invitation letter issued by the inviter, whether it's an entity or individual, with following information: a. Information on the applicant, including full name, gender, and date of birth. b. Information on the planned visit, including arrival and departure dates, place(s) of visit. c. Information on the inviter, including name, contact number, address, official stamp, and signature of the legal representative of the entity or the inviting individual.  

5. Other Supporting Documents

a. For those not applying in their country of citizenship, a proof of legal stay or residence status is required. b. In some cases, applicants may need to submit a certification letter from the employer of the applicant with details as follows: name and contact number of the employer, the applicant's income statement, or original copy of recent 6-month bank statement of the applicant. c. Applicants who intend to travel to Tibet must obtain a Tibet Travel Permit , which can be obtained from Tourism Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region by travel agencies.

How to Get a Chinese Tourist Visa

After preparing all the required documents, make an appointment with Chinese embassies, consulates, or a Chinese Visa Application Center (CVASC) if there are any in your country to submit the application. Generally, applicants aged 14-70 need to go in person. If you don't need to go personally, you can entrust someone else, such as a travel agency or a visa agency to act on your behalf. Applications by mails are not accepted and will be refused at most Chinese embassies, consulates or CVASCs. But the mail-back service is available in more cases.   

Processing Time

It normally takes 4 working days for processing a China travel visa. For express service, an additional fee of USD 20 will be charged for two or three working day service. For rush service, an additional fee of USD30 will be charged for same-day service.  

Chinese Tourist Visa Cost

The visa costs vary depending on your nationality and number of entries. However, according to the Visa Fee Abolition Agreement, the nationals of following several countries can get a visa for free, but must pay for express service, rush service or mail service: Pakistan, Maldives, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia and Micronesia. For major countries, the fee is listed below.

Yes, Indian citizens need a visa to travel to China. This is a requirement for all Indian passport holders, regardless of the purpose or length of their stay in China.

The China visa policy for Indian citizens requires that all Indian passport holders obtain a visa before traveling. Indian citizens are not eligible for Chinese visas on arrival.

Different types of visas are available depending on the purpose of the trip, such as tourism, business, or study. The duration of the visa can also vary, from a single entry for a short stay to a multiple-entry visa for longer stays or frequent travel to China.

The application process for a Chinese visa usually involves submitting the required documents and paying the applicable fee to the Chinese embassy or consulate in India or through a visa processing agency.

Travelers from India are not eligible for visa-free transit through China. They can skip visa processing only if they stay within the Chinese airport for less than 24 hours without passing through border control.

Here are the steps you need to take to get a Chinese visa:

• Apply for your visa and make an appointment at the official Chinese Visa Application Service Center website. Choose the center closest to you. In India, you can get a Chinese visa in New Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata. You must submit your application in person, but there is an option to recollect your passport with visa by post;
• Fill out the application form online and download a digital picture matching the Chinese visa photo requirements;
• Gather your required documents based on your visa type;
• Attend your appointment and have your fingerprints collected;
• Pay the visa fee at the center using cash or demand draft.

A tourist visa, or an L visa, allows foreign visitors to enter China for sightseeing, private visits, and other non-business activities. For Indians, it is typically valid for up to 90 days, but the duration of stay can vary depending on the specific visa issued.

The requirements for tourist visa applications are the following:

• Visa application form;
• Confirmation page of online visa application;
• Original passport valid for at least six months, with two or more blank visa pages and the photocopy of relevant pages of the passport;
• Expired passports within five years and the photocopy of relevant pages of the passports;
• Two recently-taken color passport photos;
• Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination with verifiable QR code;
• Indian long-term residence visa or work permits (for citizens of a third country);
• An invitation letter issued by a relevant entity in China;
• Other necessary materials are required by the Chinese Embassy in India and the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.

A business visa, or M visa, is issued for business-related activities, such as business negotiations, conferences, trade fairs, or other commercial activities. To get one, you must have an official invitation from an organization registered in China.

For a business visa, the required documents are the following:

The photo used to apply for your Chinese visa must fulfill the following requirements:

• It must be a color picture taken recently within the last 6 months.
• The Chinese visa photo size must be 48mm in height and 33mm in width, with a width of the head of 15mm to 22mm and a height of 20mm to 33mm.
• The digital photo dimensions for electronic Chinese visa application must be from 354x472 to 420x560 pixels;
• The applicant has to be easily identifiable from the photo;
• Facial features should be complete and visible, with the head centered in the photo;
• Eyeglasses are allowed except thick-rimmed, tinted, or glare glasses;
• Hat or other head wears are only permitted due to religious reasons, but any facial features should not be obscured;
• There should be no damage or impurities on the photo, no permeation or shadow over the face;
• The photo should be in a natural tone but not over or under-exposed, red-eyed, or distorted;
• The background should be in white or off-white and with no edge frame
• The photo should be printed on glossy finish photo paper, not matte finish paper or plain paper, and should be stainless, scratchless, or without any crease.

The Indian visa fee depends on the validity and amount of entries the applied visa allows. Current rates are as follows:

• Single entry: 3900 Rs;
• Double entry: 5850 Rs;
• Multiple entries, six months: 7800 Rs;
• Multiple entries, 12 months: 11700 Rs;
• Group visa: 2400 Rs.

The most common duration of a Chinese tourist or business visa for Indians is 90 days from the issue date: this is the period when you can enter the country. The permitted length of stay in China is 30 days. If you travel to China often, you can apply for a multiple-entry visa, allowing to enter China several times within the validity period.

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa from an Indian Mission/Post or eVisa (Limited Categories) from Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The move comes at a time when nearly 22,000 indian students enrolled in chinese universities haven't been able to go back for physical classes..

Amid the ongoing tension between India and China, India has now suspended the tourist visas issued to Chinese nationals, according to reports . The news came to be known after global airlines body IATA (International Air Transport Association) issued a circular on April 20, saying, "Tourist visas issued to nationals of China (People's Republic) are no longer valid."

It said the following passengers are allowed to enter India: nationals of Bhutan, India, Maldives and Nepal; passengers with a residence permit issued by India; passengers with visa or an e-visa issued by India; passengers with an overseas citizen of India (OCI) card or booklet; passengers with a persons of Indian origin (PIO) card; and passengers with a diplomatic passport.

Why has India suspended tourist visas for China?

Several media reports have called it a 'tit-for-tat' move.

India's move to suspend tourist visas for Chinese nationals comes in the backdrop of China denying entry to around 22,000 Indian students enrolled in different universities there. These students had returned home to India after the pandemic broke out and a lockdown was imposed back in 2020. The students haven't been able to return for physical classes since then.

India has been pleading with China to allow the students back in their classrooms.

On March 17, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that India has urged Beijing to adopt a "congenial stance" in the matter as the continuation of the strict restricts is putting the academic careers of thousands of Indian students in jeopardy. He said that a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson had stated on February 8 that China was looking into the matter in a coordinated manner and that arrangements for allowing foreign students to return to China were being examined.

"But let me clarify that till date, the Chinese side has not given any categorical response about the return of Indian students. We will continue to urge the Chinese side to adopt a congenial stance in the interest of our students and that they facilitate an early return to China so that our students can pursue their studies," Bagchi had said.

What is a tourist visa?

A tourist visa is an official document that allows an individual to visit a foreign country for tourism and travel purposes, while visit visa is given to nonimmigrants to visit any country for a short period of time for purposes like tourism, visiting relatives, friends, business trips, medical treatment, etc.

Why Do Indian Students Go To China?

China has in recent years become one of the top choices for Indian students to pursue higher education, particularly MBBS. The ease of getting admission and cheaper admission fees are some of the reasons. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, UK, are some other countries preferred by Indian students. A recent report claims that China is fast-growing a favourite destination for international students. In fact, China ranks number 3 in terms of international student intake, only after US and UK.

Chinese Business Representative's Reaction

According to Chinese media, a Chinese business representative in India has said the suspension of tourist visas has 'very little impact on either Chinese or Indian businesses'. The Global Times reported that there aren't many Chinese travelers in India owing to high ticket prices, approximately USD 6512 for one-way ticket, and lack of direct flights between the two countries. Chinese state media quoted Yang Jinsong of the China Tourism Academy terming the visa suspension as meaningless since 'given the fact that there are hardly any Chinese tourists going to India these days, because of the virus situation in the country and China's tightened epidemic control.'

China Vs India- A Quick Glance

The recent tension between India and China started back in 2020. According to reports, on May 5 that year, Chinese and Indian troopers were engaged in an intense battle along the border in Galwan valley of Ladakh. Skirmishes were also reported from border areas between Sikkim and the Tibet Autonomous Region. Both sides started deploying a huge number of soldiers on the respective sides of the border.

The fighting intensified on June 15 in Galwan Valley. In the ensuing clashes, one of the worst face-offs in almost 45 years, 20 Indian soldiers were killed. It was only after over 11 rounds of military talks that the disengagement process began. While much wasn't known about the casualties on Chinese side, China acknowledged that five soldiers and military officers were killed in the past year's clashes with India.

While the military level talks were going on, India announced to ban Chinese mobile phone apps like TikTok, Shareit, Shein, Applock, WeChat, Weibo, Club Factory, etc. As of now 224 Chinese apps are banned in India.

India's diplomatic boycott of Beijing Olympics

India called for a diplomatic boycott of winter Olympics held in Beijing early this year because the soldier who was among those who fought Indian troops in Galwan was made the torchbearer. The torch relay Beijing on February 2 had over 130 participants, including Qi Fabao, the soldier of Galwan Valley fame, sports legends, Covid warriors and space scientists. India's foreign ministry termed China's move to include Galwan Valley soldier in the Olympics ceremony as "regrettable". National broadcaster Doordarshan had also said it will not show the live telecast of the opening and closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

MONTREAL: India has suspended tourist visas issued to Chinese nationals, International Air Transport Association (IATA) said in a circular for its members.

IATA issued a circular on Wednesday for its member carriers regarding entry into India and said, "Tourist visas issued to nationals of China (People's Republic) are no longer valid."

It further reads that the nationals of Bhutan, India, Maldives and Nepal, passengers with a residence permit issued by India, passengers with visas or e-visa issued by India are allowed to enter India.

According to the circular, passengers with an overseas citizen of India card or booklet like those who have a Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card and those with a diplomatic passport are also allowed to enter India.

The IATA also said that tourist visas with a validity of 10 years are no longer valid.

The IATA is a global airlines body with around 290 members that comprise more than 80 per cent of global air traffic.

India has been raising with China the problems of Indian students studying in China who have not been allowed to return to that country citing COVID-19 restrictions.

After talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar hoped that China will take a non-discriminatory approach to the issue since it involves the future of many young people.

"I also took up strongly the predicament of Indian students studying in China who haven't been allowed to return citing COVID restrictions. We hope China will take a non-discriminatory approach since it involves the future of many young people," Jaishankar said.

These students had to leave their studies in China and come to India when the Covid-19 pandemic began at the beginning of 2020.

Indian Visa

You need a Visa to travel to India from the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia (as well as many other countries). Check the rules for your country, but U.S. citizens who want to travel to India for tourist purposes, and who plan to stay no longer than 60 days, may apply for a visa electronically. When I applied for my visa, the system was fairly clunky and I needed to upload a photo and a copy of my passport. I received my Indian visa within two days of applying.

Note, that India’s visa application process changes frequently, so the Indian embassy in Washington, D.C. suggests travelers to their website for updates before planning a trip. As things can change, do up to date research, but as of the writing of this article; a U.S. citizen can apply online for an electronic travel authorization referred to as an “e-Visa” up to four days before arrival in India, but no more than 30 days before travel. The e-Visa costs $100 and is valid for 60 days upon entry to India. (Be prepared to present a printed copy at customs in the international airport.)

Australian Visa

To apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) you must have a valid passport and apply for your ETA with the passport and passport number you will be traveling to Australia with. You can purchase an Australian ETA no later than 24 hours in advance of your departure. Electronic tourist visas are valid for one year and permit multiple stays of up to 90 days in Australia. They currently cost $20 per person.

Russian Visa

To enter Russia, residents of most countries, including the US are required to obtain a visa in advance. In order to get a Russian visa , the first thing you need is an invitation (also known as visa support letter). After that, you can apply for the visa at a Russian consulate, a travel agent or with a visa service company. U.S. citizens can apply for as long as 36 months with a tourist visa.  

Additional Required Paperwork

If you’re planning an international trip with a U.S. passport, be prepared with all of your paperwork. Although each country has different requirements, there are some general rules to observe when planning an international trip:

• Your Passport must be valid for at least 6 months to travel to most international locations and must have at least two blank pages available in your passport.
• You may be asked for  proof of onward travel , which is not a problem if you have a return ticket. If you plan on country-hopping, you’ll need to have proof of your travel plans. You may be refused to board on a flight if you cannot satisfy immigration that you plan on leaving their country. If you’re not sure when you plan on leaving, you can buy an onward flight that is refundable and re-book later.
• Some countries require that you have  adequate medical insurance to cover your stay. Regardless of whether it is mandatory, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance .  
• It is rare, but you may be asked for  proof of funds and will need to satisfy immigration that you can support your travels. This can catch you off guard, and trying to log in to your internet bank on airport Wi-Fi can be a bit frantic. To be prepared, make sure you have a copy of a bank statement or a screenshot on your phone.
• Regardless of whether a country has visa-free access, there are still requirements that need to be met if you’re going to travel abroad. We recommend that you confirm with the relevant embassy before making any travel plans.
