Brilliant show as always from Madness although they sang a few obscure tunes which we didn't really know from their back catalogue (although they were celebrating 40 years so I guess that was understandable). The Roundhouse is our favourite venue, it's well run, great sound, good views from wherever you stand or sit, plenty of bars & toilets.

Madness where fantastic. Great being in a smaller venue. Only downside was no air conditioning and it was extremely hot inside . No support act to speak of just a guy playing tunes at his decks which was ok for a bit but crowd got a bit restless . Madness brilliant

Brilliant atmosphere,fabulous sound,& an unbelievably great show yet again,only disappointment was (some of,not all) the security guards at the venue,their level of professionalism left a lot to be desired,but The Fratellis and Madness were (and still are) just as good as they’ve always been! #TheSoundOfMadness

Ska and pop legends Madness return to the US for the first time in eight years with the announcement of stateside tour dates for 2020.

UK ska and pop legends Madness have announced a slate of new tour dates to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band and their 1979 debut album One Step Beyond… .

Along with a number of shows in Europe, the UK, and Dubai , the band also announced stops in Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, the Fox Theater in Oakland, Boston’s House of Blues and a headlining appearance at Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas on 25 May, making it the two-tone outfit’s first visit stateside in eight years.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale this Friday, 13 December at 10 am.

The group are touring with the majority of their core line-up including frontman Graham “Suggs” McPherson, keyboard/pianist Mike Barson, bassist Mark Bedford, drummer Dan “Woody” Woodgate, saxophonist Lee Thompson and guitarist Chris Foreman.

As part of the late-70s 2-Tone ska revival, Madness stormed the UK charts with their debut album in 1979 and continued to reign with nearly 20 Top 10 singles over the course of three decades with enduring hits like such as ‘Our House’ and ‘Baggy Trousers’.

Prior to their US tour announcement, Madness have a number of UK dates this month including three sold-out nights at the Roundhouse in London from 15-17 December. Following their US dates, the band will return to the UK in the summer, with stops in Gloucestershire on 13 June, the York Festival on 18 June and House of Fun Weekender in Minehead on 20 November 2020.

The ska veterans also released a new single, ‘Bullingdon Boys (Don’t get bullied by the bully boys)’ this past November and their last studio effort was Can’t Touch Us Now in 2016.

Madness have announced a run of US tour dates for 2024 in support of their recent album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie . It marks the legendary ska band’s first trek across the states in over a decade.

The “C’est La Vie in America” Tour”   begins on May 22nd in Seattle, before making stops in cities including Oakland, Boston, and New York throughout the month, as well as an appearance at Las Vegas’ Punk Rock Bowling Festival . These dates supplement the band’s previously-announced UK/EU leg, which will carry them out through the rest of the summer.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale is set for Thursday, January 18th (use code SPOTLIGHT ), followed by a public on sale on Friday, January 19th via Ticketmaster .

Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

“I remember the first time we were in the  USA, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, The Mud Club, ABC City,” Madness frontman Suggs recalls in a press release. “I remember Jelly Bean Benetiz, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Run DC Link Ray. I remember California, Fishbone, BossTones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Whisky Gogo, The Dead Kennedys. America was everything we hoped it would be, we were small fish and we still are and we can’t wait to be swimming in those waters again!”

Madness previously had planned to tour the US in 2020, but those dates were repeatedly postponed due to the pandemic.

The trains and stations of the Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro is the third most intensive subway system in the world after Tokyo and Seoul subways. The first line was opened on May 15, 1935. Since 1955, the metro has the name of V.I. Lenin.

The system consists of 12 lines with a total length of 305.7 km. Forty four stations are recognized cultural heritage. The largest passenger traffic is in rush hours from 8:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.

Cellular communication is available on most of the stations of the Moscow Metro. In March 2012, a free Wi-Fi appeared in the Circle Line train. The Moscow Metro is open to passengers from 5:20 to 01:00. The average interval between trains is 2.5 minutes.

The fare is paid by using contactless tickets and contactless smart cards, the passes to the stations are controlled by automatic turnstiles. Ticket offices and ticket vending machines can be found in station vestibules.

MIAMI — Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be on the training field with Inter Miami star Lionel Messi? Have you been dying to get a selfie with the Argentine icon since he arrived in South Florida last summer?

Now is your chance. Well, sort of.

The Messi Experience, a 20,000 square-foot, multi-media immersive traveling exhibit kicks off its world tour in Miami Thursday at The Hangar at Regatta Harbor in Coconut Grove. It is scheduled to run in Miami through the end of June, which happens to coincide with the June 29 Copa America match between Argentina vs. Peru at Hard Rock Stadium.

The plan is for the exhibit to then travel to 80 cities around the world over the next five years, including stops in other Major League Soccer cities, and throughout South America, Europe and Asia.

Visitors will get to step into Messi’s soccer boots and embark on a nine-room, family friendly interactive journey that begins with his childhood in Rosario, Argentina, heads to Spain for his storied career with FC Barcelona, then to Qatar, where he led Argentina to the 2022 World Cup title, and finally to South Florida for his latest stop with Inter Miami.

With the use of 3-D cameras and AI, fans will get to experience a training session and locker room speech with the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, test their soccer skills with instruction from Messi, and then, pose for a selfie with the Argentine icon that will feel and sound as if he were there in person.

The Messi Experience is the brainchild of Primo Entertainment co-founders David Rosenfeld, a former University of Miami tennis player who majored in international finance and marketing, and Andres Naftali, a Florida International University alum.

They have promoted concerts, produced and promoted immersive art exhibitions such as Beyond Van Gogh, Beyond Monet, and Frida Kahlo the Life of an Icon and decided to go after Messi, one of the greatest artists on a soccer field.

They partnered with Messi and Canada-based Moment Factory studio for the Messi Experience. Rosenfeld said the Argentine soccer federation, FC Barcelona and Inter Miami also contributed to the project.

“The art exhibits were successful, and we wanted to take it to another level and branch out to sports, and because both of us are big soccer fans, Leo Messi was our first choice,” Rosenfeld said. “We spent two years developing the idea, before we knew he would win the World Cup. We’re based in Miami, so when he landed at Inter Miami, it was the perfect fit to kick it off here.”

Rosenfeld said Messi was involved in telling the tale of his life and career and was easy to work with as they shot content for the exhibit.

“I am very happy to be part of this project that allows fans to get closer to my journey on and off the field,” Messi said in a press release. “Throughout my career, I have always strived to inspire and connect with people through my passion for football. This experience will offer a unique opportunity to relive the most memorable moments and feel the emotions that have shaped my path.”

Madness Announce First US Tour in 12 Years

The ska legends will embark on a six-date run beginning in May

Madness have announced a run of US tour dates for 2024 in support of their recent album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie . It marks the legendary ska band’s first trek across the states in over a decade.

The “C’est La Vie in America” Tour”   begins on May 22nd in Seattle, before making stops in cities including Oakland, Boston, and New York throughout the month, as well as an appearance at Las Vegas’ Punk Rock Bowling Festival . These dates supplement the band’s previously-announced UK/EU leg, which will carry them out through the rest of the summer.

I remember California, Fishbone, BossTones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Whisky Gogo, The Dead Kennedys. America was everything we hoped it would be, we were small fish and we still are and we can’t wait to be swimming in those waters again!”

Madness previously had planned to tour the US in 2020, but those dates were repeatedly postponed due to the pandemic.

Madonna is wrapping up her current concert tour over the next few days with a trilogy of shows in Mexico City. Prices have been climbing over recent days, so you'll have to be sharp if you want to buy Madonna tickets for these dates while you can for the The Celebration Tour.

Before she takes her final bow of the Celebration Tour concert series in April 2024, Madonna will have performed 52 shows across 27 cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. While many dates earlier in the tour were available for under $100, these final dates will cost you at least $245 at the time of writing. Still, it's a few grand cheaper than the Swifties have been paying this year.

Rory McIlroy Open to PGA Tour Policy Board Return: 'I Don't Think There's Been Much Progress Made'

Rory McIlroy has yet to officially return to the PGA Tour Policy Board, but the four-time major champion said Wednesday that he is open to the possibility because he believes not enough progress has been made toward an agreement that would bring the game back together.

McIlroy resigned his position as a player director on the 12-member board in November , citing a need to spend more time working on his game.

But as the PGA Tour seeks to make a deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia that has lingered on for months, McIlroy believes he can be a voice to help get that done.

“I think I can be helpful. I don't think there's been much progress made in the last eight months, and I was hopeful that there would be,” McIlroy said at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where he is playing the team event with Shane Lowry. “I think I could be helpful to the process.

“But only if people want me involved, I guess. When Webb (Simpson) and I talked and he talked about potentially coming off the board, I said, look, if it was something that other people wanted, I would gladly take that seat, and that was the conversation that we had.”

The Guardian reported Monday that Simpson plans to resign his seat and he had discussed with McIlroy taking his place. The move would need to be approved by the rest of the board.

McIlroy reiterated his view that the game needs to come together.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I think it’s the only way forward for the game of golf.”

And to achieve that, McIlroy believes compromise is in order. The PGA Tour-PIF divide—and LIV Golf’s role in it—seems to come down to several factors. How would LIV Golf look as part of PGA Tour Enterprises? Would it remain a separate league? Would LIV players be able to compete in PGA Tour events? Would there be a separate, Champions League-like competition for all of golf— as McIlroy has proposed ?

“Try to articulate your points as well as you can and try to help people see the benefits of what unification could do for the game and what it could do for this tour in particular,” McIlroy said. “We obviously realize the game is not unified right now for a reason, and there's still some hard feelings and things that need to be addressed, but I think at this point for the good of the game, we all need to put those feelings aside and all move forward together.”

McIlroy said he originally left because he felt it could help him concentrate more on his game and devote more time to his family. The current landscape has taken up considerable time for all board members, he said.

“But I feel like I can be helpful,” he said. ”I feel like I can be helpful. I feel like I care a lot, and I have some pretty good experience and good connections within the game and sort of around the wider sort of ecosystem and everything that's going on.

“But at the end of the day, it's not quite up to me to just come back on the board. There's a process that has to be followed. But I'm willing to do it if that's what people want, I guess.”

Megadeth has announced a 2024 fall  "Destroy All Enemies Tour" that will take them all across North America. On Sept. 28, the thrash metal band will end their tour in Nashville at the Municipal Auditorium.

The 33-show tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Mudvayne and All That Remains.

The two-month tour will kick off on Aug. 2 in Rogers, AR before hitting cities in Texas, California, Nevada, Florida, North Carolina and more.

The band, comprised of vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, is known for songs "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and "Symphony of Destruction."

They most recently released their 2022 album "The Sick, The Dying...And The Dead!"

“Our ‘Crush The World’ tour has been a tremendous experience for the four of us,” said singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine in a statement.

“We are all playing tight, and that has made it possible for me to really focus on solos and singing, we are playing more songs than ever before, and we are closer to each other, onstage AND off. I’m excited to see Mudvayne, and All That Remains. Join us as we DESTROY ALL ENEMIES.”

Megadeth is a busy band.

The thrash metal group is currently midway through their ongoing ‘Crush The World Tour’ that wraps up with a festival appearance at Portugal’s Evil Live in late June.

Rather than pump the brakes after the international run, Dave Mustaine and co. are going full throttle into August and September with their newly announced ‘Destroy All Enemies Tour’ with Mudvayne and All That Remains.

On the 33-concert trek, they’ll make three New York stops.

First, Megadeth will mosh their way into Albany’s MVP Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

After, that, the quartet is slated to headbang at Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on Friday, Sept. 13 and Wantagh’s Jones Beach Theater on Saturday, Sept. 14.
