File a claim with South African Airways to recover your missing miles

If you are a frequent flyer, it is important to understand that there may be times when your mileage balance does not match what is displayed on your account. For example, if you travel frequently but use your miles for other purposes, your miles balance may indicate that you still have unused miles available in your account. However, if you use those miles to earn more miles, you might end up having no more miles left. This is why it is so important to keep track of your mileage consumption.

The good news is that you can claim the missing miles by contacting your airline’s customer service department. The first step is to determine how many miles you need to add to your account to contact a South African Airways Customer Service Advisor to report your issue.

You can also do the procedure online by filling out this electronic form . You can find more information on the airline’s website or call customer service on +27 11 978 1234 .

In order for your request to be successfully registered in the system, you must correctly fill in the mandatory fields below of the request form:

– The flight number and date

– Route and ticket number

Only one missing miles request can be submitted for the same flight number, date and route. When you log into your member account in the VOYAGER program, you will see your current mileage balance. You can also view your total points balance.

To find out how many miles have not been counted in your “Voyager” account, simply log into your account. You will be able to see all the miles that have not been counted in your account then proceed to the claim step for to get them back.

You will need to provide a copy of your ticket, as well as proof that you were on the plane when it left the boarding gate. South African Airways may request more information if they believe there is reason to doubt such information, but you should not be concerned as long as you have kept your air travel documents.

The SAA Voyager program is a loyalty program offered by South African Airways. It allows members to accumulate miles on qualifying flights and use them for travel. However, the SAA Voyager program is not affiliated with the South African national carrier. This means that miles earned on one flight cannot be transferred to another airline. In such cases, it is possible to claim missing miles on the same ticket or on a different route.

Alternatively, you can also claim missing miles from other airlines or travel partners. To claim your miles, you must keep all documents, including your original ticket or boarding pass. If the ticket was purchased with a credit card, keep the original receipt. Miles will expire thirty days after the transaction, but you must submit the documentation within 48 hours of the transaction. Documentation must be valid and not expired.

You must have all the necessary documents to claim the missing miles. These documents may include airline tickets, boarding passes and invoices from non-airline partners. Once you have all of these documents, it is time to contact SAA. The process can take up to six weeks. You should expect to hear from them within three weeks of submitting your request. The sooner you apply, the sooner you can redeem your miles.

You must have the original boarding pass, a copy of your e-ticket receipt, and any invoices from non-airline partners. You must submit the documentation within 30 days of the expiration date or 48 hours after the transaction. Once you have all the documents, you can claim your missing miles from SAA. It can save you a lot of money.

You can also claim your miles if you miss a flight and need to return to South Africa. Despite the limited service, it is well worth it. There are several ways to redeem your Voyager points, including free flights, upgrades, and hotel stays. In addition to the perks, South African Airways’ Voyager program also offers rental cars. In addition to redeeming your miles, you can even take advantage of a range of additional benefits, including discounts and other offers and privileges.

When you haven’t used your miles for a long time, it’s still possible to claim them. Whether you’ve been on an airline with South African Airways before, your miles will likely be lost or unused. You will need to keep all the documents you can find for each transaction, including your boarding pass, airline boarding pass, and airline bill. If you are unsure of what documents to send, just ask a South African Airways customer service representative.

Earn Miles Through Travel

If you find yourself flying quite often, you’ll want to credit your airline miles to get the most out of your travel.

When you fly South African Airways flights, you’ll earn at a rate of 1 mile per R1.60 spent on the base fare, plus carrier-imposed fees ( fuel surcharges ). Critically, this excludes the portion of your taxes and fees from earning Voyager miles. Miles may take up to 15 days to credit to your account.

South African Airways has tons of airline partners . While many of them are Star Alliance airlines , some of them are non-alliance airline partners, such as Virgin Australia or Emirates.

If you provide your Voyager account number when booking any partner airline flight or checking into your flight at the airport, you can accrue miles according to the fare class of your ticket.

Airline partner flights take around 14 business days after travel is finished to credit. These particular flights earn miles based on distance traveled, as opposed to how much you spend on flights.

If you’re traveling on partner flights marketed by South African Airways (codeshare), then miles should be deposited 3 to 5 days after travel is finished. With all that being said, you’ll want to refer to the following accrual chart to figure out how many miles you’ll earn on your flight:

You need to be over 18 years old.

You need to live in South Africa, and have a valid South African ID or a valid passport and work permit.

You need to earn at least R6,600 a month before tax and have a healthy credit score.
