Miami Airport: The Ultimate 4-7 Hour MIA Layover Guide (by a Pilot)

Why does a long layover need to be boring? Miami International Airport might not be the most interesting place to spend 4-7 hours – but there’s definitely a way to find that Miami heat you didn’t even know you were looking for.

Whether you want to avoid the hassle of leaving the airport or you’re looking to discover why South Florida is such a popular destination, you have options. From world class lounges at the airport to world class beaches a short bus ride away, the 305 isn’t the worst place to layover. Trust me, Pitbull wasn’t exaggerating.

My other Ultimate Airport Layover Guides : ATL | JFK | SEA | SFO | LAS | ATH | CDG | LHR | and more !

What is there to do inside of Miami International Airport?

In this section : Lounges Dining Options Getting Some Fresh Air

Compared to San Francisco and Atlanta , staying inside of the airport is not as exciting at Miami International. The concourses are divided in 3, with no access between them inside security. So if you’re not in the mile-long Concourse D and you enjoy walking, you’ll have to exit the secure zone to find somewhere to walk.

There are some decent restaurants, especially if you love Cuban food. This is MIA’s saving grace.

And some of the lounges are fantastic – but others not so much. I’ve had mixed experiences.

Whether you’re a Delta SkyMiles or Priority Pass member or you’re simply looking to buy a day pass, Miami International Airport has options for you. 11 or so of them.

American Airlines has several lounges in Concourse D , with day passes available at $59 for non-member passengers flying AA.

The best lounge at MIA is also in concourse D, and that is the American Express Centurion Lounge . You must have an Amex Platinum, Centurion Card, or Delta SkyMiles Reserve Amex.

Concourse E features the Turkish Airlines lounge, accessible for Priority Pass members or those flying business/first on Star Alliance flights.

In concourse F , you’ll find Club America. You can get a day pass for $50.

Delta fliers rejoice; a fantastic SkyClub is available in Concourse H for those members flying Delta or SkyTeam international flights.

Concourse J features the Avianca SALA VIP Lounge, which in my opinion is not very VIP. Food options are lacking and it’s pretty cramped. You can purchase a day pass or as a Priority Pass member have free access.

There is also the LATAM Lounge, in Concourse J, with day passes available for non-members. These start at $40 for Gold members and $60 for non-members.

Bask in the Miami sun

If you’re like me, you love going out, getting fresh air and a bit of sun when you can. Hello, fellow plant. I feel you.

Assuming you’re willing to go back through security, there is a decent “park-like” area just outside of arrivals.

To get to the outdoor area, head to Concourse E arrivals and cross all of the roads (ground transport/pickup). The “park” is basically in the middle of the airport, and features benches, fountains, and trees for shade.

Dining Options

MIA has over 100 restaurants, cafes, and food stations across the 3 terminal areas, though many are still closed due to Covid-19. If you’re looking for additional dining options, you’ll find a great selection of restaurants outside of the secure area in the Central Terminal .

The most well-known restaurant at MIA is La Carreta , and I try not to miss it whenever I’m passing through. Versailles is a close competitor – especially if you’re looking for some of that addicting Cuban coffee!

How can I explore the Miami area on a 4-7 hour layover at MIA?

Glad you asked.

There are tons of options for any sort of layover at MIA. Whether you’re craving some epic Cuban cuisine or some boutique shopping along the nicest streets of Downtown Miami, there are easy (and sometimes free ) ways to do it.

It’s definitely feasible to explore Miami on a 4-7 hour layover at MIA Airport. You can:

  • Take cheap and efficient Public Transport from the MIA Airport Center(Train/Bus)
  • Travel by Rideshare directly from arrivals/departures
  • Get a Rental Car to fully explore the Miami area
  • And my favorite: The Secret to Free Transportation at MIA

And here are the places you should explore on your layover:

Downtown Miami (Brickell) Wynwood South Beach Little Havana Coral Gables Key Biscayne

How long of a layover at MIA is enough to leave the airport?

Obviously, you’re going to want to have enough time to head out and get back through security. There are a handful of factors at play;

  • If you have Global Entry, this will significantly cut down the time it takes to get through customs.
  • What time  is your connecting flight departing? If it’s between 8AM-10AM or 4PM and 8PM, you will have to contend with rush hour traffic.
  • Are you enrolled in TSA PreCheck, or  better yet CLEAR ? MIA does have CLEAR Checkpoints at concourses E and H, with typically <5 minute total time to get through security.
  • Are you checked in your for next flight, including baggage (if checking it in)? Waiting in line to check in a bag will add considerable time to the process.
  • What’s the  weather  like? Inclement weather can cause delays and cancellations.

With a 4 hour domestic connection, you typically will have enough time to go somewhere close, like Little Havana or Coral Gables , where you can have an epic lunch or dinner far superior to anything at the airport.

If you have 6+ hours, you definitely have time to head to Downtown Miami or perhaps explore even further.

Transportation options from MIA

From scooters to buses, exotic rental cars to taxis, Miami International Airport has an array of options to explore the area on any length of layover.

Exploring the Miami Area by public transport from MIA Airport (bus or train)

Miami International Airport is very well connected to the rest of town, thanks mainly to its “MIA Mover” skytrain system. To catch it, follow signs for MIA Mover up to the third floor. You’ll know you’re on the right track when you find moving walkways.

Follow signs for the MIA Mover, which you will take to the Airport Station/Rental Car Center. Here, you’ll find express buses, a MetroRail system, a rental car center, and more.

The quicker way to explore Miami: Rideshare or Taxi

If you’re looking to travel a little more efficiently, ride shares and taxis are the way to go.

Ride services such as  Uber ,  Lyft , and Wingz can pick up and drop off passengers curbside at departures and arrivals.

Taxis are also available from outside of the arrivals area on the ground level. Metered fares cost $6.90 for the first mile and $2.40 for each additional mile. Various  flat rates  are also available.

These are almost always the most efficient way to get to and from MIA airport, but traffic can get pretty bad in the MIA. Make sure to plan in some extra time just in case.

The secret to getting free transportation from MIA Airport: hotel shuttles

As a cheap pilot, I like free stuff. Maybe you do too.

That’s why hotel shuttles are a great option on layovers. At MIA, hotel shuttles pick-up and drop-off on the upper level outside of departures.

Most hotels with shuttles available aren’t located in a particularly interesting part of town, so it’s worth calling if you see one that’s near a point of interest (restaurant, park) that you’re inclined to visit.

I highly recommend leaving a tip to the van driver!

Renting a car on your MIA layover – and fully enjoying South Florida

You can also ride the MIA Mover on the 3rd level to the Rental Car Center , from which there are tons of rental companies.

The freedom you’ll have thanks to a rental car is paramount to being able to efficiently explore the Miami area. Even on a relatively short layover, you’ll be able to visit world-famous Wynwood Walls , Little Havana, and downtown Brickell. With a little extra time, you can head to the absolutely magnificent Key Biscayne for white sand beaches and climbing an old Lighthouse!

Top spots in Miami to spend your layover

Whether you’re looking for an amazing beach, some amazing Venezuelan Arepas, some fine dining and finer shopping, Miami has you covered. Here are spots you can easily reach on your 4-7 hour layover at MIA.

Let’s go to South Beach for the best layover ever!

Miami Beach (South Beach): There’s no better way to get the real taste of what everyone really wants to see in Miami. And how great is it that you get to do this on your layover instead of staying inside the airport bored?

From exotic cars to some of the greatest wealth in the nation, what is more Miami than South beach?

How to get there

From the Airport Station, you can take the 150 Express bus to South Beach for an awesome layover. In total, this only takes 30 minutes each way!

The Miami Beach Bus runs from the Airport Station to Miami Beach (41st Street to South Pointe Drive) daily from 6 a.m. – 11:40 p.m and costs $2.65.

Exploring downtown Miami (Brickell) from MIA Airport

Why not enjoy a quick stroll in Downtown Miami on your layover?

You’ll find an endless selection of cuban food, fine dining, delicious ceviche, Italian or French food , and even Chipotle – whatever caters to your craving.

There’s also some great walking to be done here, and it’s hard to miss all the joggers flying by. My personal favorite is the loop around Brickell Key .

To get to Downtown Miami from the airport station, you will take the Orange Line Metrorail towards Dadeland South. Get off at Brickell to see the height of downtown Miami, surrounding yourself with skyscrapers and scenic bay views.

Don’t want to go as far? Check out Little Havana and Calle Ocho

Calle Ocho – have you heard of it? Little Havana, probably the cultural center of Miami, is super close to the airport.

Here, you won’t have trouble finding somewhere to eat, places to shop, and things to do.

From the Calle Ocho Walk of Fame to the Viennese Culturales Center to epic Cuban sandwiches at Sanguish , you’ll easily be able to stay entertained on your layover.

I recommend arriving by rideshare, but it is possible to get here by connecting buses from the airport station.

Want something a bit more upscale not far from MIA airport? Check out Coral Gables

Also close to the airport is the luxurious, upscale Coral Gables. Whether you’re in the mood for fine dining or shopping at a boutique mall, you have options.

Miracle Mile is the place to be, almost resembling the Florida version of Beverly Hills. For some amazing Spanish food (and I’ve verified this myself!), head to the Bulla Gastrobar . The tapas here are insaaaanely good!!

If you’re hoping for a free hotel shuttle to Coral Gables, you’re in luck. The Courtyard by Marriott Miami Coral Gables is located right in the heart of Coral Gables and has shuttles every 30 minutes.

Otherwise, the best way to get here is by bus or rideshare.

The coolest and most “hip” Miami experience: Wynwood

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pierre đŸ›« (@thepilotwhoexplores)

This up and coming area used to be kind of a slum. But recent massive efforts to revitalize Wynwood have completed transformed it.

The most obvious change is the artwork here. It’s honestly more impressive street artwork than even in New York City .

And there’s phenomenal food and nightlife here. Pretty often, the city runs events and ceremonies, highlighting the local culture and lengths this part of Miami has come. Very very cool.

From the airport station, take the J line bus towards Beach / 41 St. Get off at NW 36th St & W 2 Av. Or my preference, by rideshare or rental car (13 minutes driving vs 45 minutes by bus).

Spotting at MIA Airport: the BEST (and free) way to spend your layover

I like to take the hotel shuttle to the Hyatt House Miami Airport or any of the “Blue Lagoon” hotels, and cross the street towards the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant . Even if you don’t eat there, it’s one the of the most popular aircraft spotting locations at Miami International Airport.

Watching heavies from all around the world take off and land, witnessing the power and engineering that has to come together in perfection to make it all work – there’s nothing like it. I can spend all day admiring the feat of magic that flying is.

The Ultimate Miami Layover: Going Out or Staying In?

As you can see, the fantastic location of Miami International Airport makes laying over here delightful. Whether you decide to go out and explore or simply kick back and relax at the airport, you have plenty of options.

In my opinion, there’s so much to see and do outside the airport that it’s worth spending the extra energy to go out and explore. From cultural hotspots like Little Havana and Wynwood to fantastic beach areas like Key Biscayne to incredible nightlife at South Beach, you can’t get bored here.

Plus, the air conditioning at MIA runs a little strong…. Go out, get some fresh air!

Layover In Miami: The Ultimate Guide 2024

Miami, Florida

When you have a Miami layover you're in for a great time no matter how much time you have on your hands. With Miami Airport 's excellent, low-cost public transport system and it's close proximity to Downtown Miami, you can be in and out of this Floridian city in the blink of an eye.

If you've hired a car for your Miami layover you can use the free MIA Mover service to get you to where it's parked. If you haven't, you'll find the MetroRial will get you into Miami in around thirty minutes. You won't want to be lumbered with your bags though, so leave them in a luggage locker before setting off.

You'll need to pre-purchase your MetroRail tickets before boarding. Alternatively, buy a day-long travel pass at the station to cover all the journeys you make during your layover. Either way, travel on the MetroRail is very economical so getting individual tickets won't break the bank if the time goes too quickly and you need to catch a cab back.

6 hour layover in Miami

The timings might be a little tight for getting back for your Miami connection, but when you're on a short stopover of six hours, Miami Beach is just about doable, and seeing that incredible stretch of sand is something you just can't miss. After you've got through immigration, drop your luggage off with a Miami suitcase storage service and high tail it for the Miami Beach Bus. It's a forty minute ride each way so you'll be left with around an hour to snap some souvenir photos, grab a hot dog and stare longingly at the sea.

  • It might seem rushed but by taking the Miami Beach bus you'll get to do some sightseeing too and all for just a few dollars.
  • The Miami Beach bus departs every thirty minutes from the MetroRail station where you can buy the tickets. Last departure is at 11.30 in the evening.

Miami, USA

8 hour layover in Miami

On an eight-hour Miami layover, if you don't head for Miami Beach, you'll be able to relax and enjoy a four-hour private tour of the city. Why private? On a private tour of Miami, you get to choose your pick-up point, plus getting collected from the airport is a big time and money saver. If you're on a tight budget as well as a tight timeline, consider using the Miami Hop-On Hop-Off bus as an alternative way to sightsee. You can also make your layover more thrilling by taking a speedboat ride along the Miami coastline or combining your hop-on hop-off bus ride with an airboat ride through the everglades. Don’t forget to drop off your bags at a Miami luggage storage before taking your tour.

  • The full hop-on hop-off bus route takes around two hours to complete so you'll have time to get off occasionally for a wander round somewhere like Little Havana
  • Speedboat cruises depart from the city's Biscayne Boulevard and last for approximately forty-five minutes.

Miami skyline by night

10 hour layover in Miami

When you're on a ten hour layover in Miami the one thing you're going to need is food. Slot eating into your sightseeing by taking a walking food tour. As you're guided around Little Havana and several other food oriented streets in the city, you'll be fed lots of nibbles like empanadas as well as being given a refreshing mojito to drink.

  • Choose the right walking food tour and they'll also take you to a cigar museum. If you want something different to Cuban food, take a walking food tour of South Beach instead.
  • If your Miami layover is an evening one and you'd like to factor in some entertainment, try a two and a half hour salsa lesson. It's great pre and post flight exercise that will keep you on your toes.

12 hour layover in Miami

If you have a twelve hour layover in Miami, you can start to consider taking a longer sightseeing tour or one that goes outside of the city to somewhere like the Everglades National Park . If you're sensible, you'll restrict your tours to a maximum of six to seven hours and that way you won't be stressed out trying to get back to the airport before your Miami connection check-in closes. With twelve hours to spare you'll also have time for visiting the city's museums or galleries if you prefer art and culture to landmarks.

  • Bags aren't allowed in places like the Perez Art Museum or the Institute of Contemporary Art so storing them in a luggage locker is the practical answer.
  • For a fun adrenaline activity that won't take up all of your layover go on a jet ski ride or try parasailing.
  • Hire a kayak or paddleboard and you can enjoy views of the Miami skyline from the water while getting some aerobic exercise.

Skyscrapers in Miami, Florida

24 hour layover in Miami

Having a twenty-four hour Miami layover is something to be celebrated. There's so much you can do that choosing what to do is the difficult part. If you're not tired of plane seats, an exciting way to see Miami and one of the quickest is to take a seaplane tour. It costs a lot less than a helicopter ride and lasts for longer too. If traveling has left you exhausted but you still want to explore Miami, go on a golf cart or segway tour rather than walking or spending all day on a bus. It's impossible to visit Florida and not go into the everglades to see the alligators so keep a few hours free for an airboat safari

  • Seaplane tours take off from the Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne and last around thirty minutes.
  • You can hire golf carts and segways independently or go on organized tours led by a guide. You'll see more with a guide and get lots of local info too.
  • Airboat safaris usually last for about four hours so you'll still have plenty of your layover left for more exploring, a slap up meal somewhere like Area31 or a private sunset cruise with champagne included.
  • No matter what you get up to on your Miami layover, don't get so distracted you forget you've got a flight to catch. Believe it, it's easily done in this exciting city.

Miami is where the sun-kissed shores of South Florida meet the pulsating beat of Latin rhythms and where millions of tourists come to vacation every year.

Known as the Magic City, Miami is home to a variety of cultures and is a place where diverse influences seamlessly blend to create an energetic atmosphere people immediately think of when they hear Florida.

As a Florida native , I often arrive and depart from the Miami airport and spend many layovers here. This has led me to look for things to do near Miami airport during my time here.

Whether you’re in Miami for a layover that allows you to see a bit more of the city before heading to your final destination or trying to add one more thing to your itinerary straight off your flight, here are 23 things to do near Miami airport that will keep you entertained while you’re in the area.

I aimed to keep these places 20-35 minutes away from the airport at most so you can maximize your time in Miami!

One stop at the outdoor museum includes a “Street Art Experience,” where you’ll grab a bottle of spray paint and channel your inner artist as you contribute to the Wynwood Walls (my favorite part!).

The pick up time at the cruise terminal was 09:00, however when we arrived at that time there was no sign of our pick up. At about 09:35 I called the number on the ticket and was told the guide would arrive in about five minutes. When he did arrive he made no attempt to contact us. When we approached him he got out of the car and helped me put our cases in the back. He did not apologise for being late and when asked why he was late he started rambling on but not giving any reasons. We asked him to stop and drop the topic and get on with the tour. At this point he jumped out of the car and said he was phoning his head office. He then opened the car and pulled out our suit case and threw them on the foot path, and told us to get out of the car. He said he was not doing the tour and that we would get a refund. He then drove off leaving us, two 80 year olds, abandoned. By this stage every one had gone from the terminal and we had difficulty finding a taxi to take us to the airport. I have not got my money back!! Read more Written May 7, 2023
  • MarTcher 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Outstanding service! We used the Miami chapter of this transportation service to get the Fort Lauderdale airport on July 8th. With two babies and their luggage, our own bags, it wasn't intended as the most straightforward trip. But to our surprise booking this ride was the best decision we made (and yes, we can compare it to other similar services). The booking was seamless, the arrival on time and the ride itself was very pleasant. A very special THANK YOU to our driver, Daniel, who clearly loves what he does and who has a huge amount of respect to his customers. Daniel went above and beyond of what we expected and helped us with the on-boarding and off-boarding without a glitch. We are frequent travelers and there is no other company we will book for our travels than WOW TNC from now on. Read more Written July 15, 2021

My 80 yr old grandmother who was traveling alone needed special assisted transportation from Miami airport to Boynton Beach area. Jose took such good care of her--meet & greet in baggage claim, extra assistance with her lack of mobility, kept communication with our family about whereabouts, an unexpected stop along the way, etc... NOTHING was too much for Jose and this company. My family is so extremely thankful for the thoughtful service she received. Also, night manager Vino was extremely accommodating and helpful, even with a very last minute reservation. He was available when I called and could not have been more helpful. Prices are also extremely reasonable, and definitely WORTH IT. Highly recommend this service for ANY transportation needs in Miami area. My family will be using your services again. Thank you!! Everglades Tours From Miami Guide

Airports & entry, planning tips, restaurants & eating out, nightlife & entertainment, getting around, accommodations, attractions.

Miami is a city that thrives of nightlife but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of things to do that are family friendly. In fact, a vacation in Miami might even be educational for all travelers, in a fun and not so obvious way.

best everglades tours from miami reviews

Whether you plan on spending your time in Miami at the beaches, partying at the Clevelander or at South Beach, or you plan on taking in the cultural and historical aspects of the city, Miami is a place everyone can enjoy.

If you are flying into Miami, you’ll likely land at Miami International Airport , dubbed MIA. This airport is very busy every day of the week and 24 hours a day. In fact, over 1,000 flights depart or return here each day. This means that things can get hectic, but there is usually staff around that can help point you in the right direction.

When leaving the airport, you have several options. If your hotel offers a free airport shuttle, this is going to be your best bet for getting to your accommodations quickly and affordably. If they don’t and you don’t mine ridesharing, there are several shuttle services leaving the airport often. You can choose from SAS Transport Service or Go Airport Shuttle.

If you are flying into Miami from another country, you will need your passport as well as authorization. If you will be staying less than 90 days, which most visiting travelers do, you will need to apply for an ESTA, Electronic System for Travel Authorization . Essentially, this is waiving your visa that you would need if you intend to stay for more than 3 months.

It’s important to keep several things in mind when planning your vacation to Miami. If you have other tips for those who will be visiting the Magic City, or if you have questions about your trip that aren’t answered in this guide, we would love to hear from you in the comments!

Tip #1: Miami vs Miami Beach

The City of Miami and Miami Beach are two different places. While you may want to spend time in both places during your stay, you should choose accommodations in the place where you intend to spend the most time. The easiest way to get from one to the other and back again is with either Uber or Lyft. It’s also the most affordable.

Tip #2: Choose Local & Day Trip Tours

Just as with any city that attracts many travelers each year, there are plenty of tours available. You might want to take a guided tour of several different museums, or of the art district. You can even take a day trip tour away from the hustle and bustle of Miami and head to the Keys or even to several botanical gardens in the area.

Tip #3: Spend at Least One Day at the Beach

Even if you aren’t going to Miami to sit on the beach the entire time, you should spend at least one day there. There are many beaches up and down the coastal areas of Miami and Miami Beach so you’re sure to find one that has the vibe you’re looking for. Don’t really want to sip cocktails all day under an umbrella? Try a more family-friendly beach instead.

Tip #4: Get Wrapped Up in the Cuban Influence

The Latin American influence is everywhere in Miami, from food and drink to music and dancing. Most likely, you won’t get the same authentic Cuban experience anywhere else outside of Cuba so soak in the culture.

Try a cafecito, a strong and delicious Cuban coffee. Be mindful of the caffeine kick, however. Try various Cuban meals. And even if you only go just to listen and watch, step into a Cuban bar or nightclub one night just to get a feel for the flavor.

Tip #5: Safety First

Leave any expensive items you won’t need while you’re out and about back in your hotel room. If you won’t need them on your trip at all, you might want to think about leaving them at home. Try not to flaunt flashy jewelry and or an expensive camera. Not only do these things indicate you’re not local, but they can also make you a target for theft.

Because you most likely won’t be familiar with the areas of Miami you will be visiting, grabbing an Uber or Lyft to get to where you are going is probably the best idea. This way you get where you need to go without getting lost.

You may also want to ensure your health insurance will cover you while you are in Miami. If it won’t, supplemental health insurance plans for travelers is available.

There’s no denying the Latin American influence in Miami. Even if you only pick up a small lunch from a food truck to try a bit of Cuban flare, you should at least try something with the Cuban kick. In Miami, you will find everything from modern restaurants ran by celebrity chefs to food trucks that offer anything you can imagine.

Some of those celebrity chefs at work in Miami are Tom Colicchio at the Beachcraft restaurant and Paul Qui at Pao by Paul Qui. Want a modern throwback? The Wynwood Diner is a modern take on the classic roadside diner. Then you also have gastro-pubs such as Finka Table & Tap .

While there are plenty of nightclubs up and down the beach as well as in several areas of the city, you’ll also find plenty of dive bars with a laid-back vibe as well as some craft brewery options that have finally made their way to Miami.

Craft beer is a newcomer to the nighttime scene in Miami. As a “cocktail town,” Miami is the perfect place to find the classic cocktails alongside new, modern cocktail inventions. No matter what style of late-night entertainment you enjoy, you’ll find it in Miami.

One recommendation: The Ball & Chain . Once a favorite watering hole for the likes of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, and others, this bar and lounge will take you back through history just by walking in the door.

Driving in Miami may be more stressful than helpful. Many locals get frustrated with tourist traffic and many of those who decided to rent a Ferrari or Lambo usually get frustrated with the locals who don’t drive as fast as they want to. This means that renting a car isn’t your best option.

You also won’t want to depend on public transportation. It’s not very reliable and oftentimes won’t get you where you need to go.

The two best options are either a traditional taxi or the modern equivalents, Uber and Lyft. A taxi will most likely cost you much more than an Uber or Lyft ride, and Uber or Lyft will come to pick you up. This is much easier than trying to hail for a taxi.

You’ll find a wide range of accommodations in both Miami and Miami Beach. Luxurious high-rises are just as common as smaller, boutique hotels. If your trip is centered around the beach, you may even want to rent a bungalow.

When staying in Miami for a longer period of time, perhaps a week or more, then home sharing services such as Airbnb are a great option. You get to live like a local and save a few dollars as well, being able to cook a few meals at “home.”

The hotel where a party is always happening is The Clevelander . If you’ve come to Miami to party, that’s where you’ll want to stay. Then there are the classics like the Fontainebleau Hotel with its unique architecture. Frank Sinatra was a regular guest there and even today you may bump into a few familiar faces.

The perfect time to visit Miami is between March and May. If you’re still dealing with the cold and it’s been a long winter, head to Miami for a few days to warm your toes in the sand. The summer months can get pretty hot and humid, but some say that just makes the party even better.

Starting in the fall, you’ll encounter hurricane season so unless you have travel insurance in the event of poor weather, booking your trip to Miami in the Fall may not be best.

However, it doesn’t matter when you visit, there will always be something going on in Miami. Miami Fashion Week and the South Beach Wine & Food Festival are popular, annual events. If you’d like to visit during the time of a specific event, there’s really not a horrible time to visit.

Snorkeling, scuba diving, and other watersports are a popular activity for families, couples, and groups alike. The waters off the beaches of Miami and Miami Beach are known for being clear and cool, perfect for enjoying the sight of some beautiful marine wildlife.

The art scene is huge in Miami. There are many galleries, and art museums as well, around the city. However, most are located in the art district. There are tours that can take you to several of these locations. Sometimes you can even get discounted entry into several locations all for one, bundled price.

Diddy seen on video pacing around miami airport after raids at both homes, diddy on video pacing around airport ... after two federal raids.

TMZ has the first video of Diddy after his homes were raided by the feds Monday -- and instead of being in handcuffs and on the ground ... the guy was kinda just walking around.

Check out this footage we obtained, which we shot around 3 PM PT Monday -- a couple hours after the raids at his homes got underway -- at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport ... where eyewitnesses tell us Diddy and some other people got stopped by the feds.

We're told this shows Diddy pacing around outside a Customs office there at the airport -- and as you can see ... he's not being detained, and he certainly doesn't seem to be in custody here. Instead, Diddy is just walking around all by his lonesome.

An eyewitness tells us Diddy was waiting on other people in his party here -- who were stopped and questioned by the feds as well during this whole ordeal -- but we haven't been able to confirm who was rolling with him yet.

All we know is he and his crew got stopped at Opa Locka, where we're told he appeared to be aboard a separate private jet ... and that's when Homeland Security rolled up.

While it might seem strange that Diddy wasn't cuffed, it actually tracks with what we've heard about his situation thus far -- namely, sources with direct knowledge tell us he is not under arrest at this point. And more importantly, he obviously isn't on the run either.

As we reported ... two separate raids in L.A. and Miami went down Monday -- where Homeland Security agents barreled through his homes and escorted some people out.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions, but it would appear law enforcement officials are probing federal crimes that have been alleged against Diddy of late in several lawsuits ... including alleged sex trafficking , all of which Diddy has denied again and again.

NBC News reports that federal officials have already spoken to three women and a man pertaining to claims of sex trafficking, among other allegations, and other interviews are supposedly scheduled to go down in the near future.

We've reached out to Diddy's camp ... so far, no word back.

Is Diddy back in Miami Beach after the feds raided his Star Island home? What we know

R eporters, photographers and TV cameras lined up outside one of Diddy’s Star Island mansions Wednesday for the third day in a row after federal agents raided it earlier this week, part of an ongoing sex-trafficking investigation into the rap mogul.

Sean Combs, also known as Diddy or Brother Love, was last seen Monday evening speaking with federal agents at Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport shortly after Homeland Security Investigations agents executed search warrants at his mansions in Los Angeles and on Star Island in Miami Beach. There, agents collected electronic equipment such as laptops, mobile phones and other devices at the rapper’s estates, according to a source familiar with the probe.

Since then, the 54-year-old Harlem native has eluded TV cameras and his attorney has denied that Combs pressured his staff and associates to hire prostitutes, and possibly minors, to have sex with him as he traveled across the country, as alleged in recent civil lawsuits. Diddy has not been criminally charged.

Diddy’s plane spotted again at Opa-locka airport?

On Monday, a private jet linked in media reports to Diddy landed in Antigua and Barbuda. But two high-ranking government sources there told the Herald a day later that there was no record of him being inspected by Customs officials before traversing the Caribbean island, which is mandatory.

It was not until Wednesday afternoon that the plane was spotted again at the Opa-locka airport , Local 10 reported.

Meanwhile, outside the rappers’ Miami Beach mansions, a black Cadillac Escalade, several opened umbrellas placed strategically on and around the SUV and a damaged gate blocked the view into Diddy’s 2 Star Island Drive mansion, the home that was raided. In the afternoon, a tour bus briefly stopped outside Diddy’s mansion.

Combs owns two estates on the island — 2 Star Island and 1 Star Island Drive, which he purchased from the Estefans in 2021 for $35 million. That home was not raided.

A domestic worker who cleans and cooks for one of Diddy’s neighbors told the Herald on Wednesday she has not seen him for a while.

She was leaving Star Island around 3:30 p.m. Monday when she saw a couple of agents, a fire rescue vehicle and an armored truck in front of the mogul’s estate. As the woman was driving with a coworker toward the exit of the luxury enclave, one of the agents shouted at them, “Go! Go! Go!,” she said.

The woman told the Herald she has seen Diddy and his bodyguards walking around the Star Island loop before, sometimes greeting her from a distance.

“I believe everyone is innocent until the opposite is proven,” she said.
