Irish Discovery

Fantastic tour, one of the best I have ever been on. Helen was great and the driver David was also excellent. I just wish we could have spent a little more time at each place and the wifi on the bus was terrible.

Italy's Best

I really enjoyed the trip and I think Gianluca is the greatest guide. He was extremely compassionate and helpful when I broke my wrist on tour. The itinerary was wonderful and it gave a great overall view of the country. The coach driver was also fantastic.

Grand Tour of Switzerland

Tour director and driver were excellent as well as the itinerary. The problem is the hotel accommodation on our last night and 2 nights post tour. We were forced to transfer to another hotel because at Hotel Zuri, the air-conditioners of several rooms were out of order. We are requesting a refund for our 3 nights stay.

Highlights of Ireland & Scotland

Tour guide (Henry) and driver (Jurgen) were both excellent. The hotels in Belfast and Kilarney were not great. overall, the pace and sights were very good.

Rome, Florence & Venice

Our Guide Director was absolutely wonderful!!! The air conditioning in the Poppy Hotel didn’t seem to work and was very in comfortable at night to sleep. But the tour it self was fabulous!

Highlights of Germany

The tour director Enrica Hajnal and driver Pasquale were superb. Enrica was particularly approachable and eagle to help. Pasquale was very skillful in maneuvering the coach even in the narrowest of alleys and had always put safety as his priority. The spread of breakfast in Ibis Hotel in Munich could be further improved. They ran out of juices in 2 occasions but did not replenish them on time. However, staff was customer oriented and service was satisfactory. Wish the authority in Germany could display more explanation in English in many places of interest especially historical sights. The edifices were mostly formidable and although the tour director took the trouble to explain to us their significance, it would help a great deal if we have more detailed explanation in English to enable us to understand the history of specific artifacts. Unsure why all pillows in all hotels are hollow and did not support a good night sleep.

this my 3rd time joining a escorted tour, its cheaper compared to other companies, its good .

Scenic Switzerland by Train

I loved this tour! It's not rushed. You get time to explore on your own. The excursions are optional, though on the tour I went on everyone else did all the excursions and there wasn't always a lot to do if you didn't go on the excursion. But it was a great tour. A great way to get to see most of Switzerland. I staid for a few days after and went to Grindelwald, which was absolutely worth it. Marco was our tour guide and he was great. I definitely suggest this tour if you're looking for something guided but not rushed.

Spain, Portugal & Morocco

I could not fault this tour and having returned home sit back and think wow the places I visited, the people I met, the cultures I experienced. Great value for money, easy to book, and great guides all through the trip.

The Best of Europe with London

Well planned out tour with most of the popular sites included. Only downside was some of the accommodation was not close to the city centre

England, Scotland & Wales

The tour was good the driver and tour guide were great! But the time was an issue to short at the stops!

Grand Tour of France

Some of the accommodations especially in Hotel IBIS was not good. The rooms were small and no place to keep your luggage. In the itinerary, Cosmos should have included Cannes and Nice sightseeing. There was not enough time to go on your own as there were other optional excursions. The tour director Alice and the driver Andrea were awesome. They were very courteous and professional and took good care of the tour group.

Seven Countries, Venice & Paris with London

George our Tour guide and Paulo our Bus driver were really awesome and made the holiday very enjoyable for our family.

The Best of Britain & Ireland

The tour was as advertised “a taste of the UK”,we saw some wonderful sites, beautiful towns/cities & magnificent people.Our tour guide (Peter) gave us interesting facts & antidotes for the places we went to.The accomodation was average but it did the job required (sadly none had separate laundry facilities to catch up with washing).Sometimes you felt rushed other times why are we here for 4 hours(to much shopping time).Overall we had a great time with our fellow passengers & Cosmos looked after us with respect & if given a chance to travel again by coach Cosmos tours will be on our check list. The tour covered many places of natural beauty but, for me, the emphasis on retail experiences was at the expense of places of historical interest

This tour is great for seeing numerous cities and historical sites in Italy, a one day trip over the border into Lugano, Switzerland was just a true delight and icing on the cake. I have now learned that the Cosmos level is the "budget" label for Globus, so expect mostly 3 star hotels that are located outside of the major cities. This wasn't too much an issue as public transportation (metro/bus) or taxi's are available from each hotels if needed. Some of the hotels have poor air conditioning so if that's a priority for you then consider a Globus level tour instead. Overall, the hotel we clean. We found it difficult to plan our excursions as the itinerary they provide is very vague with regards to the times of the optional excursions, but these were clarified on day one as we asked our tour director and she was able to tell us if we had enough time to do some of things we wanted to do that weren't offered. Expect to get up early as the bus is usually on the road by 7:30 am, but that's necessary to get to the sites before the crowds. As far as the optional excursions go, the first dinner in Rome was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't in central Rome, the food was mediocre and the service was fair, the highlight was two elderly Italian men playing and singing live music - famous old Italian songs- a lot of us complained about this so maybe Cosmos will change that venue? The other excursions are well worth it, takes the hassle out of dealing with transportation and getting tickets. The ones not to miss are the Tuscan Farm Dinner, Lugano Switzerland Cable Car, Capri, Pompeii. I would recommend this tour for those who don't require a luxury hotel, I am glad we were able to experience it!

Flo was an excellent guide - even with the difficulty faced!! She took care of us!! The tour stopped at all the places you want to see!

Italy – The Colosseum, built in AD 70-80 using travertine, limestone and volcanic rock, seating over 80,000 spectators, it was most famously known for its gladiator fights but it was also the arena for re-enactments of famous battles and executions. More remarkably, it was also the set for simulated sea battles! The arena would be filled with water so vessels could float in during the shows and drained rapidly afterwards. Equally as interesting is the engineering behind this theatre. It had a retractable awning to protect its spectators from the bad weather! Also hidden beneath the colosseum was a warren of tunnels and cells which held the gladiators and animals captive before they were sent to fight.

Another site not to miss in Italy is Pompeii – a 440,000 square meter town that was tragically engulfed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. Approximately 10 percent of the population died and the city was buried under lava and volcanic ash. The lava preserved the town which means you can walk the streets and see the well-preserved buildings such as the Lupanare (brothel), and thermopolium (the Roman equivalent of fast food).

France - The famous Eiffel Tower, at the centre of Champ de Mars in Paris, built to be the entrance to the World's Fair in1889.This world famous structure has not always been admired though, in fact Engineer Gustave Eiffel was greatly criticised by locals, calling it a monstrosity! Never did he or they imagine quite how successful and important a structure it would be today, with its 81 floors of exhibits, viewing decks, cafes and gift shops.

Venice – The floating city. A romantic location with over 118 islands connected by the canals that run through Venice. Grab a gondola and sit back, relax and take in the scenery.

Romania – Dracula’s Castle - Bram Stoker’s 1897 Gothic, horror novel Dracula may be imaginary, but the castle isn’t. It was the real life setting of the sinister novel and is located just outside of Brasov in Romania. Officially known as Bran Castle it includes all the weapons and armour that is mentioned in Bram’s book. As for the blood-sucker himself, Bram used Vlad the Impaler as his muse. A ruler who was notorious for brutal torture and demise of in excess of 10,000 people during his reign.

Turkey – Turkey has an array of wonders to offer from Mosques to palaces, to hot springs and the famous bazaars

There is so much delicious food to be tasted across Europe and such a variety from one country to another. From delightful seafood in Portugal , Greece and Croatia to perfect pasta dishes in Italy and world-famous desserts in Austria.

While in Romania you can try stuffed cabbage rolls and in Turkey , anyone with a sweet tooth must try the ancient, traditional pastry dessert of baklava.
