Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ Unveils Disney+ Trailer (VIDEO)

UPDATED STORY (3/4/2024):

The official Disney+ trailer for Taylor Swift ‘s The Eras Tour concert film has arrived and is revealing that the film will drop a few hours earlier than originally announced.

The concert film will now debut on Thursday, March 14 at 9/8c, on the streaming platform and will feature acoustic performances not originally shared in the film’s theatrical release. Check out the trailer, below, and mark your calendars for the arrival of The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) on Disney+.

ORIGINAL STORY (12/12/2023):

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert movie is heading to a TV near you! Get ready to jump around your living room with your best friends while belting out the singer’s catchy tunes as the film lands on streaming just in time for Swift’s birthday on December 13th.

In an announcement shared by Swift’s official Instagram account, the songstress revealed that she will serenade viewers from the comfort of their homes when The Eras Tour becomes available to rent on demand.

“Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home! Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”

As fans of the Grammy-winning artist know, Swift has been touring around the globe since March 17, 2023 when the Eras Tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona. Since then, she’s visited various cities across the United States, Mexico, Argentina, and currently Brazil. The Eras Tour: Concert Film was recorded during one of Swift’s Los Angeles-based shows at So-Fi Stadium.

Every Taylor Swift Song in 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 2

The recorded concert hit movie theaters on October 13, coinciding once again with Swift’s favorite number. The film was self-financed by Swift and released without the help or distribution of a major movie studio to keep in line with SAG-AFTRA strike regulations which were still ongoing at the time.

Along with the extended tracks set to be featured, Swift’s fans can expect to hear songs including “Cruel Summer,” “Love Story,” “Blank Space,” “August,” “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version),” and many more during the course of the film.

One option for viewers includes Prime Video where you don’t have to have a Prime membership in order to rent the film. On the streamer, fans can rent the movie for $19.89, which may or may not be a nod to the singer’s year of birth and her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) . Don’t miss it! ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)’ Drops First Trailer With ‘Maroon’ as Secret Song

The concert movie comes to Disney+ March 14

The streaming version of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” film has dropped its first trailer as well as its first secret song: an acoustic version of “Maroon.”

In fact, there will be four additional acoustic songs in the film, though only one of them is known at present. The movie will be available exclusively on Disney+ staring on March 14 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.

Set to ” … Ready For It?,” one of the biggest hits from “Reputation,” the trailer jumps between clip after clip of Swift from her record-breaking concert. “This has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life,” Swift says in a voiceover. Watch the first trailer above.

It’s hard to keep track of the myriad of ways the Eras tour has changed the music industry. The actual concert broke the record as the highest-grossing tour of all time, surpassing $1 billion. The tour has been likened to 1960s Beatlemania both in terms of how it has impacted culture at large and the surge of tourism each stop inspired. Ticket sales also led to the ticketing site Ticketmaster to crash due to “historically unprecedented demand,” leading to multiple state, federal and congressional inquiries into the organization.

Then there’s the concert film. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” marked a historically unprecedented distribution deal after negotiations between Swift and several major film studios, namely Paramount, fell through. Instead of distributing the film through a film studio, Swift made a deal directly with AMC Theatres and Cinemark Theatres. The movie went on to become the highest-grossing concert film of all time, earning $261.6 million during its limited theatrical run.

Earlier this month it was announced that Disney+ would be the streaming home to this incredibly impactful (and lucrative) concert film. The streaming version will contain the entirety of the concert film as well as the song “cardigan” and the aforementioned four additional acoustic songs.

“‘The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said about the project at the time.

The Disney+ has dropped a teaser trailer for Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour concert film which will is making its streaming debut on March 14th.   The streaming version, which will feature the full set of the pop superstar’s career-spanning, three-and-a-half-hour-long concert for the first time.

The Grammy winner sits down at the piano in a red gown and says, “This is one of my favorites,” while smiling and playing the opening notes of the Midnights track. “This has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life,” Swift exclaims at one point in the teaser.

“I’ll be your host this evening. My name is Taylor and welcome to the Eras Tour!” she also says, as the trailer highlights shots of her performing in various ensembles and the show’s various spectacular theatrics, ranging from the Red and Lover eras to the folklore era.

While the openers and several songs were omitted for the original theatrical version and “The Archer,” “Long Live” and Wildest Dreams,” were added back in for the edition available to rent, the Disney+ exclusive version will mark the first time fans can experience the full set list put to screen.

“ Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour ” hit the big screen at AMC movie theaters across the country in October, becoming an instant smash. It grossed more than $260 million at the global box office, making it the top-selling concert film of all time.

The Disney+ version of the film — “ Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) ” — will show the concert in its entirety for the first time as well as include the song “cardigan,” plus four additional acoustic songs not featured in either the previous theatrical  or VOD versions.

When announcing the  Golden Globe-nominated  concert film would be coming to Disney+, Disney CEO Bob Iger called it “a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world.”

Taylor Swift ticket scam duping fans out of hundreds - 'it was so realistic'

Taylor swift fans are warning of a major eras tour scam on social media that is coning fans out of thousands of dollars., taylor swift | the eras tour (taylor’s version) official trailer.

Sian Williams, a self-proclaimed mega swiftie , leapt at the opportunity to attend a Taylor Swift concert when offered tickets, only to realize moments after transferring $315.95 (£250) that she had been duped.

"It makes me angry because it was so realistic," the conned mother of two remarked.

Sian had promised to treat her daughter, Efa, 18, to Swift's The Eras Tour as a celebration for completing her A-level classes.

After failing to secure tickets through the official 2023 sale for Swift's Cardiff show set for June, which sold out swiftly, Sian encountered an individual offering four tickets for the Liverpool performance.

This friend-of-a-friend deal, asking $631.90 (£500) for the tickets and presenting detailed proofs and seating information, seemed legitimate to Sian, a resident of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Upon initiating a £250 transfer—due to bank limitations on transfer amounts—the realization of being scammed dawned on them.

Choosing not to proceed with the second payment, they sought their bank's help, initiating an investigation into the scam that convincingly mimicked a mutual friend on social media.

Expressing frustration, Sian warned against making hasty decisions in critical moments, stressing the impossibility of retrieving transferred funds.

Despite her online tech savviness, this unfortunate experience led her to share her story, aiming to prevent similar incidents for others.

A related account happened when 24-year-old Indigo Jones from Swansea discovered her social media had been compromised, used by fraudsters to sell non-existent Taylor Swift tickets.

Despite her friends being approached by the impersonators, fortunately, none suffered financial loss.

Indigo, feeling powerless but determined to raise awareness, shared her feelings about the situation.

"Personally I think this is something I would have fallen for as well, because it did look so real," she said.
