Welcome to our ENCHANTED KINGDOM TRAVEL GUIDE. This article contains information about this Laguna theme park including directions, entrance ticket prices, operating hours, best rides, and other tips! Enjoy!

I remember the ripples of excitement I felt when I was a child upon hearing the news about a huge theme park’s grand opening. It was big news because it was the first ever world-class theme park in the Philippines at that time. It was huge compared to those amusement parks and small-town carnivals I used to enjoy as a kid with my cousins. What’s more thrilling was that it’s just a few minutes away from where I live. Go southerners!

After 23 years, Enchanted Kingdom is still living up to its slogan, “The Magic Lives Forever!” No matter how many times I’ve been here, each time was a different experience. Or maybe it’s just me. Hehe. It caters to all age groups and offers a magical venue for various occasions and events such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, team building, corporate family day, field trips, and many more!

Additional facts about Enchanted Kingdom (EK):

  • October 19, 1995. EK launching. It officially started its operations.

Whether it’s your first time or your nth time now, here are some of the things you might want to know (or check again) before you go.

  • From Waltermart, you can hire a tricycle straight to Enchanted Kingdom.

By Private Car

  • Take Santa Rosa exit on South Luzon Expressway.

  • At the intersection, turn right and continue driving until you see Enchanted Kingdom on the right side.

  • EK Shuttle Only: P360 (Roundtrip) / P180 (One-way)
  • Admission Ticket + Roundtrip Shuttle Service: P1,100 (Weekdays) / P1,200 (Weekends/Holidays)

What are the best attractions?

EKstreme Tower Ride

Enchanted Kingdom’s rides are classified into six categories: kids, teens, family, water, extreme thrill, and the gated attractions.

Below are the most popular rides (in no particular order). Expect long queues, especially during peak season.

  • EKstreme Tower Ride
  • Space Shuttle
  • Jungle Log Jam
  • Rio Grande Rapids
  • Anchor’s Away
  • Disk-O-Magic
  • Wheel of Fate
  • Flying Fiesta
  • Agila Eksperience

What are the gated attractions?

Gated attractions are activities or rides that have separate admission fees, meaning they are not included in the regular day pass unlimited ride perks. If you wish to experience them, you have to pay extra. These are:

  • Laser Mission
  • Kindermagic
  • 7D Interactive Motion Theater
  • XPP Paintball
  • Ghostbusters Adventure Live

How long do I have to wait in line?

It really depends on the attraction and the time of your visit (peak season or lean season). For the popular attractions, it may take you 30 minutes to over an hour, even reaching two hours during peak season.

How can I maximize my time in the park?

Well, long queues are expected at popular theme parks like Enchanted Kingdom, and peak season will really test your patience as a great number of visitors flock to the park. Not only will you spend time waiting in line for the rides but also for food and using the toilet.

It is best to choose to go during weekdays or lean season. But if you can’t help visiting during the holidays and peak season, you might want to consider these:

  • Plan your visit well. List the rides that you don’t want to miss and rank them. Prioritize the popular ones.
  • Go to the park early, so you will have more time. Moreover, you can go through your list and start ticking off your priority rides while it’s still early and there’s not too much crowd yet.
  • Take a brunch and have a late dinner. Stuff yourself before entering the park, so you won’t have to waste your time waiting for your food. Do not forget to hydrate yourself.

Note: These are just suggestions. You may choose to follow or not follow these.

Where to eat inside Enchanted Kingdom?

The park has a number of food concessionaires in the park — restaurants and food stalls/carts. The prices are understandably marked higher than normal, but if you get really hungry and thirsty, here are the food places inside the park:

  • Amazon Grill
  • Diggers Treat
  • Jungle Wraps
  • Parkside: Flame Grill Burgers
  • Disk-O-Dine
  • SFR: Stir Fried Rice
  • Magnolia Ice Cream Flavor Shop

Note: This list does not include the food carts and stalls all around the park.

Am I allowed to bring my own food inside the park?

Food and drinks from outside are NOT permitted inside the park except for special cases such as baby food and formula food, special dietary requirements or diet for medical purposes. You can eat outside, but be sure to get a stamp before you exit, so you can still get inside the park.

Are there ATMs at Enchanted Kingdom?

YES! There are ATMs on the left side of the entrance gate, near the restrooms. Here are the machines available: BPI, RCBC, UCPB, and Security Bank.

Enchanted Kingdom ATM

  • Regular Locker: P150
  • Jumbo Locker: P350

Are pets allowed inside Enchanted Kingdom?

Where can I inquire about event packages?

For corporate packages, school trips, and celebration packages, you may browse the package inclusions and learn more details here: EK Magical Packages .

Other Enchanted Kingdom Tips

  • Wear comfortable footwear. You will be doing a lot of standing, walking, and waiting in line.
  • Bring extra clothes. Rides like Rio Grande Rapids and Jungle Log Jam will drench you. It’s also easy to sweat when exploring under the sun. It’s always best to bring a change of clothes.
  • Bring sun protection.
  • Bring your own toiletries and medicine.
  • Have an extra battery for your camera or bring your power bank. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to snap those happy moments.
  • Free admission for those visiting six days before or six days after their birthday.

Thats an interesting theme park. I am a bit scared of theme parks and rides actually. But I love looking at them. Is that a ride from the Temple Run or something???

Enchanted Kingdom is one of the several themed parks found in the Philippines . Comparable to Gloria’s Fantasyland in Dapitan and Star City in Pasay, this park boasts as the best theme and adventure park in the country. Over the years, locals continue to patronize it because of its good maintenance on all of its rides to avoid any untoward incidents.

Enchanted Kingdom at Night

Enchanted Kingdom at Night

Located in Santa Rosa City, Laguna , one can see Mt. Makiling from Enchanted Kingdom. Although it is not very visible from the ground, riding their Ferris wheel, known as the Wheel of Fate, will surely give you a great panoramic view of the city as well as the towering mystical mountain. Enchanted Kingdom is housed inside a 17 hectare land owned, operated and managed by Enchanted Kingdom, Inc. which is formerly known as Amtrust Leisure Corporation. The Park joined the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) to maintain their world-class, high-quality reputation from all over the globe. Enchanted Kingdom is also a member of the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC), Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) and it is accredited and endorsed by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).

Modeled after the Knott’s Berry Farm and conceptualized by the Landmark Entertainment Group, Enchanted Kingdom cost an estimated P1.2 billion and was first opened in July 28, 1995. It gathered hundreds of thousands of visitors per month albeit the price was too expensive for the middle-class Filipinos.

The Enchanted Kingdom Day Pass is a ride-all-you can pass that allows you to experience “most” of the rides inside the park. The park will provide an orange-colored wrist-tag to show that you bought the the day pass. I mentioned “most” because not all of the rides can be availed with the Day Pass, there are rides that you need to pay an additional amount just to experience it. 4D Discovery Theatre (+P60), Zorb Water Ball (+P50), ATV Ride (+P50 to +P250), Go-Kart (+100), among a few others are known as “Extra Charge Attractions”.

It is just so sad that during this first visit at Enchanted Kingdom with my wife and colleagues, my wife was 5 months pregnant which means that she can only ride the Grand Carousel and a slow-speed train known as Boulderville Express.

Worth the thrill and excitement is the Space Shuttle Max, named such because it is sponsored by Pepsi. It is a roller coaster ride that literally takes your breath away. Choosing not to shout is no longer an option. This ride is simply the best way to spark the adrenalin in you.

The other notable ride is Anchor’s Away. It is a galleon-designed ship that moves like a pendulum at a very fast speed, which makes your stomach muscles contract to its highest level. This ride may be able to give you a six-pack stomach if you ride this everyday.

How to get there

PAL and Cebu Pacific serves flights to Manila from most of the airports in the country and outside the country on a daily basis. Getting to Manila by boat from the Visayas or Mindanao region may be aching and takes more than a day of travel.

From Manila, take a taxi going to Intercon Open Parking in Ayala Center. This is beside SM Makati, across Ayala MRT Station and Edsa Car Park. K3R is the official Shuttle Service Provider of Enchanted Kingdom, asking for directions from the guard at Ayala Center may be a good option. For rates and schedules, you may contact K3R at telephone number (+63)(2)811-4839 to 43 or cellular phone number (+63)917-8984839. Enchanted Kingdom is located about 30 kilometers from within the Metro Manila area such as Manila , Makati and Pasay . It is a short 1 hour (2 hours if traffic is heavy) ride going to Sta. Rosa, Laguna that is well worth the fun and adventure that you’ll experience in such wonderful place. Visit Enchanted Kingdom now and you’ll surely have another day in your life that you will never forget.

Hello Mark,

I am from Cebu and I wish to bring my baby for his first birthday to EK. Do you know of any nearby hotels in Laguna that can provide transportation/shuttle to and from EK, even if we will pay? The closest hotel to EK, based on my research is at least 1.6 km. It might be hard with a 1 yr. old kid. Will be waiting for your reply. Thanks.

' src=

Hoping for your response. Thanks!

Hello Ryan,

I am sorry. I don’t know if Enchanted Kingdom is open this coming Holy Week.

Someone placed a comment about bringing shih tzu. Pwede po ba? ano po ba ung SEEING EYE DOGS na tinutukoy nyo bilang exception? I appreciate if you would reply sa query namen about the dog. thank you.

Only “Seeing Eye Dogs” (see: http://www.seda.org.au/ ) are allowed. All the other pets are prohibited.

' src=

kuya, when is the best time to go to EK? yung hindi masyado mainit? thanks..

I suggest you start enjoying the rides at around 4pm (medyo mainit pa) or 4:30pm (ok na). The huge crowd starts to flock at around 5:00pm and the peak time is 5:30pm-6:00pm. During the peak hours, the lines becomes so long that you will be wasting a lot of your time standing than enjoying the rides.

' src=

hi? i would like to ask if u know, if they are open today? and also is all the rides are open esp. the space shuttle

what rides can a 3 weeks pregnant woman can ride?

can you bring an 8 month old baby on EK?

can anyone please answer this?

(i was planning to invite my friends here for my birthday since mall is so boring and im not allowed to party at night on BigFish Manila/ Embassy/ Ascend/ other night clubs that’s why i plan to have my birthday here. But one of my friends is pregnant and on of my friends don’t know if she could bring her baby on a ride.)

Hi Anonymous M.G.,

1. A 3-week pregnant woman can only ride the carousel. For the other rides – such as the ferris wheel, swan boat, etc as long as it’s not extreme – it’s at her own risk and discretion. 2. Yes, you can bring an 8-month old baby inside EK.

' src=

I just want to make sure… is it ride all you can when you pay the day-pass charge?

' src=

YES. it is ride all you can, except for rides such as EKstreme and others. you can see it in ek’a official website

' src=

I’ve been there during our Education tour last 2005. I’m from visayas and I just wanted to come back there. Hope time will allow me. It’s really a nice place.

' src=

May I ask kung affordable po ba meals sa loob? How about in Rialto, how much is the fee? Thanks in advance.

I think the food inside are affordable. It is comparable to value meals found in malls. Value meals are priced at P70-P150.

The Rialto entrance is free. It is included in the ride-all-you-can package.

' src=

tanong ko lang po kung naaalala mo pa yung mga prices ng souvenirs?? 🙂 thanks

It depends on the kind. There are souvenirs that are less than P30 such as keychains, bracelets. There are above P100 such as mugs. Shirts are around P300. Eldar the wizard items are about P300-P800. There are a lot of items to choose from such as umbrellas, cups, necklaces and most of the prices are slightly similar to those found in malls. The only difference is that most of the souvenir items in Enchanted Kingdom have the logo or label printed on it.

' src=

The Philippines' First Real Theme Park: The Story of Enchanted Kingdom

Founded by the visionary Cynthia and Mario Mamon , Enchanted Kingdom proudly stands as the Philippines' very first authentic theme park – a groundbreaking attraction featuring the excitement of a thrilling rollercoaster. The Filipino couple's inspiration for this ambitious project blossomed during their travels throughout Asia in the early 1990s, where they experienced the magic of other renowned theme parks. To bring their vision to life, they sought out the expertise of industry leaders by attending numerous amusement park conferences and tradeshows. Their dedication led them to join the globally respected International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions ( IAAPA ). The IAAPA provided invaluable resources, knowledge, and connections, setting the stage for construction to boldly begin in August 1994. Aware of potential competition vying for the title of the Philippines' first theme park , the Mamons and their team accelerated the development process. Their unwavering determination paid off when Enchanted Kingdom triumphantly opened its doors on October 19th, 1995 – a remarkable achievement completed in just over a year.

The Philippines has no Disneyland but it proudly has its world-class theme park, Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna , Philippines. Since I was staying in Sta. Rosa, I got to go to Enchanted Kingdom with Kandace (Kach’s youngest sister}. It’s also very near their place. We spent the whole Saturday afternoon at EK before I went to the airport to catch my flight to Cebu .

10 Reasons Why You’ll Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

1. ek is great for all ages.

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

Enchanted Kingdom isn’t only for kids but also for those who want to experience being transported back to their childhood. No stress, just fun and games, and pure bliss! This place is excellent for spending time with family or friends. There are rides and playground entirely safe for kids, thrilling, exciting rides for the youngsters and attractions or shows that are also great for the dual citizens (Filipino and Senior Citizens ). I recommend the Agila the EKsperience, Rialto 4D, and the Grand Carousel.

2. Thrilling Rides

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

I am a big fan of extreme rides; the adrenaline rush you feel as you go down or in circles. It’s super amazing plus the fact that you conquered the feat is fulfilling. EK has those thrilling rides. If you never tried one before, EK is a great place to start with and it’s very safe here. Our first ride was the Jungle Log Jam, we got a bit wet but it was fun. Other recommendations are Space Shuttle, Riogrande Rapids (it was closed when I was there but felt fun), and my personal favorite, EKstreme Tower.

3. Many things to do

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

There are not only rides in EK but also shows like the musical we heard in Eldar’s Theater. There are even animal encounters in case you want to know more about wildlife, especially in the Philippines. We tried playing games like Ringtoss and Duck Pond. There are also food and drink stalls if you are hungry. You can also witness fireworks during the weekend!

4. Short Queues

I once tried lining in Tokyo Disney Sea for more than 2 hours for a ride; I got to ask a stranger to save a spot since I needed to pee. It’s annoying, but I was there for experience so I got no choice but wait. Happily, in Enchanted Kingdom , we haven’t even waited for as long as 30 minutes for a ride. Mostly it was less than ten minutes or we were up next! We went on a Saturday, btw, and there were many educational tours or field trips but we still got to ride a lot. However, if you want a much shorter queue, try going on a weekday!

5. Affordable Food and Drinks

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

What I was scared about when going to a theme park is the food prices, I thought it was going to be expensive (double the price), but it wasn’t! The prices are similar to the mall. In case you are off for a drink, there is a drinking fountain too! I just brought a filled up water bottle and refilled mine when it was empty.

6. Magical Souvenirs

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

There are many souvenirs you can find in the shops of Enchanted Kingdom. From Eldar’s Hat to Eldar stuff toys. There are also T-shirts, fashionable Hats, key chains, tumblers, notebooks, and many more.  It’s great to bring a remembrance of it back in our homes; I got an Eldar Hat Keychain!

7. With Safety Standards

Safety is their top priority! I always check if there are safety standards in a theme park before I go to their thriller rides. We don’t want to get stuck mid-air like those scary videos on Youtube. EK adheres to international standards as well as have emergency facilities, too. So you can trust them as you go sky high!

8. Kind and Talented Crew Character Photo Ops

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

The staffs are very friendly and approachable. They greeted us and answered our questions for directions. They were also very supportive when we were playing games. When I say the show, everyone was performing their best; kudos to the staff and crew!

9. Environmental Awareness

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

Not only does the Enchanted Kingdom have trees and plants inside the area but also an experience dedicated to the environment, Agila the EKsperience. You will see the beauty of the Philippines and fly high with the Philippine Eagle. It also gives a message on taking care of what we have!

10. Surprises

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

Enchanted Kingdom is a place of surprises. We thought it was an ordinary Saturday, but lo and behold fanatic screams were heard near the Flying Fiesta; there are celebrities! We got to see Joshua Garcia and McCoy De Leon riding it, then after a few minutes of waiting there was Ina Raymundo, Julia Baretto, and Maris Racal passing by (there were bodyguards, of course). They had a promotion for their movie in EK, and we got lucky!

My Personal Favorite Attractions or Rides

For those who like thrills and a bit of fun, here are my favorites during my visit. I wasn’t able to ride everything, especially the Space Shuttle and the Roller Skater, because my partner (a 10-year-old kid) was a bit scared and I’m not leaving her to queue.

10 Reasons to Love Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna, Philippines

  • EKstreme Tower – get dropped in a 120-feet high tower, it’s pretty scary-funny when you are watching it, but when you’re going down, it feels like your legs will fall off (haha)
  • Agila the EKsperience – it’s a 7D ride where you feel like flying, there are splashes and air too with the special effects plus it shows the beauty of our country, too
  • Jungle Log Jam – get ready to get a bit wet as you are taken uphill then drops you down with many splashes
