Undercover Tourist is a popular website for purchasing theme park tickets at a discount. But did you also know you can use this website to book hotels and rental cars, too?

In this post, we’ll go over what you need to know to use Undercover Tourist to find the best prices on amusement park tickets, hotels, and rental cars. Plus, we’ll go over some of the popular features of the site like the Crowd Calendar.

Undercover Tourist is a website that that’s been around since 2000 and is known for offering discounted tickets to theme parks across the U.S. The site is an authorized seller of tickets for all the major theme parks you know and love:

  • Walt Disney World Resort in Florida
  • Disneyland in California
  • Universal Orlando Resort
  • Universal Studios Hollywood
  • SeaWorld Orlando
  • SeaWorld San Diego
  • LEGOLAND Florida Resort
  • LEGOLAND California Resort

Undercover Tourist also has discounted tickets to non-theme park attractions like Ripley’s Believe It or Not, ski resorts, zoos, movie theaters, and lots more! Plus, it acts as an online travel agency for hotels and car rentals.

While Undercover Tourist offers a ton of ticket, hotel, and car options, the site is limited in the number of destinations it covers. You’ll only find options in the following cities:

  • Breckenridge, CO
  • Chicago, IL
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • New York City, NY
  • Orlando, FL
  • Park City, Utah
  • San Antonio, Texas
  • San Diego, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Washington, D.C.

Options in Seattle, London, and Paris are coming soon.

Bottom Line: Undercover Tourist is a resource for discounted tickets to theme parks and other attractions in select cities across the U.S. It’s best known for offering discounted tickets to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks.  The site also acts as an online travel agency for hotel reservations and car rentals in these select cities.

Discount Tickets

Let’s review the steps to using Undercover Tourist to purchase discounted tickets.

You can start your search for discounted tickets from many different places on the home page. Click on Discount Tickets in the top menu bar, click on a logo underneath the menu bar, or click on any of the featured tickets in the middle of your screen to start your search.

Finding discounted tickets on Undercover Tourist

After choosing your destination, you’ll be able to see lots of information about your chosen theme park, including maps, hotels, tips, and more. Scroll down a bit to find the availability calendar and ticket options.

Disney tickets through Undercover Tourist

The tickets you buy through Undercover Tourist are exactly the same as if you purchased them directly from the park, except you’ll probably save some money.

After choosing the type and number of tickets you need, you’ll be able to see your final price and choose your travel dates. The price you see is what you’ll pay — taxes are included and shipping is free!

Price of tickets on Undercover Tourist

Hot Tip: Are you on a tight budget? Check out our full guide to using visiting Disney World for cheap using points and miles.

You may be inclined to have your tickets emailed to you, but there are some risks. E-tickets are non-refundable, and you’ll need to stop at Will Call at the gate to pick up your physical tickets. For Disney tickets, if you have a MagicBand, you can add the e-tickets to your account and proceed directly to the gate, but they’ll still be non-refundable.

Instead, it may be a better idea to have the physical tickets mailed to you. This option is also free and the tickets will be eligible for a refund. Plus, you’ll be able to go straight to the gate at the park which can be a huge timesaver.

Paper vs emailed tickets from Undercover Tourist

Many tickets sold on Undercover Tourist are refundable within 90 days of purchase. To get a refundable ticket, you’ll need to have tickets mailed to you vs. opting for email delivery. Refundable tickets will be clearly marked. Be sure to confirm the return policy for your specific tickets before completing your purchase.

If you need to return tickets that you purchased, you’ll be charged a 5% fee to cover the return.

Hot Tip: E-tickets are non-refundable. To get a ticket that is eligible for a refund, you’ll need to select the Mailed To Your Door  option.

Before finalizing your purchase, you’ll be prompted to add travel insurance. Before choosing whether or not to add insurance to your purchase, you’ll want to learn about all of your options.

Undercover Tourist offers insurance through Allianz Global Assistance , a popular travel insurance company. However, the policy offered by Undercover Tourist covers lots of areas that may already be covered through your credit card including trip cancellation and interruption , lost or delayed baggage, and travel accident insurance, so it may not be needed.

If you purchase tickets that are eligible for a refund, insurance is probably not necessary. If you’re also booking a hotel or rental car, take a minute to determine if you have a credit card with rental car insurance  before purchasing a separate policy.

The Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar is a popular feature on the site that helps you identify the least and most crowded times to visit a specific park.

To access the Crowd Calendar, just click on Crowd Calendar in the top menu bar of the website.

How to find the Crowd Calendar on Undercover Tourist

You’ll be able to look at specifics for a handful of the most popular destinations:

  • Discovery Cove
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Magic Kingdom Park
  • Universal’s Islands of Adventure
  • Universal Studios Florida
  • Universal’s Volcano Bay

Hot Tip: The Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar is a color-coded chart that helps you predict which parks will be more or less crowded on a specific day.

Undercover Tourist mobile app

If you’re headed to Orlando, be sure to download the Undercover Tourist Orlando Planning App, free for iOS . This handy app will take the stress out of trying to navigate the parks on your own with features like an interactive map, up-to-date park information, park plans, and estimated wait times.

The app covers Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando.

The Frog Guarantee and Frog Family Promise are not price guarantees, rather they’re guarantees of quality and customer service.

The Frog Guarantee

When purchasing amusement park tickets through Undercover Tourist you’ll always receive:

  • Authentic tickets from an authorized seller
  • Free standard shipping
  • No hidden fees
  • 90-day refund/return policy (not applicable to e-tickets)
  • RFID enabled and Genie+ eligible Disney tickets
  • Next-day pickup or delivery availability

So, let’s answer the question you really want to know, “Can Undercover Tourist save me money?”

To do this, we priced out some ticket options for 1 adult on Undercover Tourist and compared those to what we could get directly from the park’s website.

In every single example we priced out, Undercover Tourist was the cheapest option! If you’re looking for discounted tickets to Walt Disney World and other popular theme parks, you’ll probably save money by using Undercover Tourist.

Hot Tip: You can NOT use Disney gift cards to pay for tickets through Undercover Tourist. So, if you’ve been collecting gift cards from stores with high points bonuses (like grocery stores ), you’ll need to purchase your tickets directly through the park.

Purchasing tickets to an amusement park can be expensive. So, of course, you’ll want to make sure you’re earning as many points as possible on your purchase.

Amusement park tickets usually code as “entertainment,” so if you’re purchasing them directly, you’ll want to use a credit card that offers bonus categories on entertainment purchases . The Citi Premier ® Card earns 2 points per dollar spent on entertainment purchases, including tickets to amusement parks.

However, purchases from Undercover Tourist code as “travel” which opens up the door to earn points on a variety of different credit cards. These credit cards all earn bonus points on the travel category, which will include amusement park tickets purchased from Undercover Tourist.

Earn 3x points on travel purchases with these credit cards:

  • Ink Business Preferred ® Credit Card
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve ®
  • Citi Premier card

Earn 2x points on travel purchases with these credit cards:

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred ® card
  • Capital One ® Venture ® Rewards card

Hot Tip: If you have an American Express card, check to see if Amex Offers has any current money-back offers from Undercover Tourist.

While Undercover Tourist is known as the place to buy theme park tickets, the site also acts as an online travel agency for booking hotels.

To get started, click on Hotels in the top menu bar. Then select your destination from the drop-down box and enter the number of travelers and your travel dates.

Your search results will be displayed in a format similar to other hotel booking websites that you may be familiar with (like Expedia , Priceline , Hotels.com , etc). Filtering options will be available on the left side of your screen and sorting options are located on the upper right-hand side, above the results.

Undercover Tourist Hotels filtering and sorting

Unlike with tickets on Undercover Tourist, the prices you see initially don’t include tax. You’ll have to click through to the payment page to see the full price with taxes and fees included.

Cancellation policies will vary by the hotel but will be clearly displayed once you add an item to your cart.

Hot Tip: If you’re traveling to Florida to enjoy the theme parks, check out these places to stay in Orlando for your Disney vacation!

Let’s take a look at a couple of examples to see if booking a hotel through Undercover Tourist can save you money. For both of these examples, we priced out a week-long stay for 2 adults and 1 child. Prices include taxes and fees and are for the hotel stay only (tickets are not included).

The results are typical of most price comparisons we do — they aren’t consistent! Undercover Tourist had the best price for the first option, but Trivago came out with the best price in the second example. The bottom line is that you can definitely save money by using Undercover Tourist for your hotel stay, but not always.

The car rental search functionality on the Undercover Tourist website is pretty limited. You’ll only be able to search for car rentals at Orlando International Airport (MCO) from only 5 car rental companies — Alamo, Avis , Budget , Enterprise , and National .

Undercover Tourist Car Rental

We did a couple of searches to find out if booking your Orlando car rental through Undercover Tourist could save you money. We searched for the cheapest price for a week-long rental on 2 different dates.

In both of these examples, Undercover Tourist came out as the second most expensive option. Interestingly, Momondo  had the lowest price and Priceline had the highest price in both examples.

Undercover Tourist may be a great place to purchase theme park tickets, but it’s not a great option when you’re searching for a rental car.

Undercover Tourist is a popular website for purchasing theme park tickets on the cheap. It also acts as an online travel agency for hotels and car rentals, but only in select cities.

It’s a great site to use to save some money on theme park tickets, but the savings on hotels and cars aren’t as consistent.

Are you looking for Undercover Tourist reviews for your next family trip? Maybe you’re considering purchasing theme park tickets or a hotel stay through Undercover Tourist, but you’re wondering if the prices are too good to be true. Rest assured that Undercover Tourist is a trusted company used by tons of families each year, including my own family.

They offer amazing customer service and great deals on everything you need for your next vacation. So, if you are searching for a way to save money on theme park tickets, then Undercover Tourist is the place to go! My family and I have used this reputable company on multiple Disney trips as they offer deep discounts on tickets to theme parks in both California and Florida.

You can use Undercover Tourist to purchase tickets for parks like Disney World, Universal, Disneyland, Sea World, and Lego Land. They also offer great deals on hotel room prices (including Walt Disney World resort hotels) and on rental cars. To make planning your family vacation easier, Undercover Tourist even provides special features like Disney World crowd calendars along with other helpful online tools.

So, if you’re considering using this super helpful website for your next trip, continue reading our full Undercover Tourist review below. We will discuss just how easy it is to use Undercover Tourist to help plan your next theme park vacation AND get a great deal on tickets!

How It Works

Before planning a family vacation to Walt Disney World (or other theme parks), you may be wondering if you can get a discount on the official (aka pricey) ticket prices. Over the years, I have found the Undercover Tourist website to be the easiest way to score the best deals on park tickets. It’s my family’s go-to website for planning any Disney World vacation because it helps make trip planning a breeze.

Cinderella's castle at Walt Disney World

No matter what you’re needing for your trip, Undercover Tourist will have a great deal to help make your trip a little more budget friendly. They offer the best deals on tickets to SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Studios, and other theme parks and attractions. You can even score big ticket discounts on Walt Disney World park tickets, including park hopper tickets, sports tickets, and water park ticket options.

As you shop on the official Undercover Tourist website, you will notice that these discounts get bigger and bigger with the number of days you add on to your ticket package. In other words, you won’t see a huge price difference in Disney tickets if you are just purchasing one day passes. However, you will find deep discounts the more days you add on to your package. All in all, you can save over $80 per ticket at Walt Disney World, which really adds up if you are traveling with multiple family members!

Just use the ticket calendar to determine if the Disney park passes are available. If your desired dates and parks are available, follow the prompts to choose the ticket options you want. After purchasing your Disney park passes, you can easily link them in your My Disney Experience account . Once you link your discounted tickets, they’ll show up in your account just as if you had bought them from Disney’s official site. It’s that easy!

Why We Use Undercover Tourist

In addition to the incredible savings that Undercover Tourist provides, my family and I also use them for their customer service. Not only is Undercover Tourist a legit website, but they are also a trusted name in the theme park industry. Did you know that the Undercover Tourist brand is officially an authorized Walt Disney World ticket seller ?

Disney's Animal Kingdom Tree of Life

This means they are recognized for their honest dependability. When going through wholesale ticket providers for the first time, it can sometimes feel intimidating. But, Undercover Tourist is a discount ticket seller that provides real tickets with no hidden fees. Plus, shipping and tax are included in the price you pay.

At the time of this post, Undercover Tourist is even offering a full refund policy for Disney World tickets! Since I personally do not have experience requesting a refund on tickets from Undercover Tourist, I cannot speak about this process. However, my family and I did have to cancel hotel reservations with Undercover Tourist a few trips ago.

The process of requesting a refund was so easy, and they provided great customer service. I just called the Undercover Tourist contact number and immediately spoke with a customer service agent who handled my cancellation. During the phone call, I spoke with a super friendly and knowledgeable representative without having to wait through the automated calling you so often have to sit through when contacting companies.

Booking Hotels through Undercover Tourist

Undercover Tourist has many different tools and features that make it easy to plan your next Disney trip. This website can be very helpful when trying to save money on tickets, car rentals, and hotel rooms. If you are planning a hotel stay at Disney, we recommend comparing the prices on the official WDW website with those on the Undercover Tourist site.

monorail at Disney World

Although Undercover Tourist does not always have the cheaper rate, they often do! Plus, you can sometimes find availability for rooms you want that are sold out on the official Disney website. We always make sure to price out the rooms on both websites before booking since you can often save money going through Undercover Tourist.

On a side note, if you’re looking to stay at a deluxe hotel, we recommend looking into renting DVC points first. This is often the way to save the most money on a hotel room at Disney. However, if you aren’t able to secure a DVC room OR if you’re looking for a value/moderate resort, Undercover Tourist is often the way to go!

Final Review of Undercover Tourist

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can often feel daunting and expensive. But, with all of the amazing resources and discounts available through Undercover Tourist, there is no need to worry. You can snag some awesome deals on WDW tickets, hotels, AND car rentals all while keeping peace of mind in knowing that you are using a legitimate authorized Disney ticket seller.

Hi Shari! I am thinking of using Undercover Tourist for our next Disney vacation. Do they mail you a physical ticket? If the ticket is emailed, how do you use it to enter the parks? Do you have to print it out or do you go somewhere at Disney to convert the printed page to an actual ticket? Just wondering about the logistics now that you need a reservation for the parks…Thanks for the help!

Thanks so much for reaching out. I believe that Undercover Tourist will mail you physical tickets if you want them, but I usually choose the email option. Either way, your physical or digital tickets will have a code on them. You just log into your WDW account and link the Undercover Tourist tickets using the code. This is a similar process to reserving a Disney hotel through Undercover Tourist. They will give you a confirmation number/code that you type into your Disney account, and it links your reservation.

Once you are at Disney, your linked tickets and reservations are connected to your Magic Bands and the My Disney Experience App. So, to enter a theme park, you will swipe your Magic Band or the Disney App to get in.

Just make sure that you make your park reservation after you link your Undercover Tourist tickets into your Disney account. I hope I explained that okay. It’s actually REALLY easy to do. When you log into your Disney account, it basically prompts you each step of the way. Hope you have a great time at Disney!!

Undercover Tourist cancellations experiences

Hi last week I cancelled my Universal tickets, they charged me a few of 5% which is bull, but whatever. So I have a room reservation and disney tickets I have to cancel. What is your experience with cancelling Disney with co vID cancellations?

I haven’t cancelled yet, but I did call UT in order to determine how we would handle our Universal tickets.

Here is the post about it:

Note, the 5% fee is totally expected and laid out in their terms, so I have no issue with it. They have to pay, so if they refund you 100%, they have actually LOST money in the experience.

If you reschedule do they charge the fee?

No, because you do that through Disney or Universal, not UC. UC only handles refunds if you bought through them.

Have you actually received the refund yet? I sent my tickets back with a refund request and they were received by UT on April 10 but I still have not received the refund. I wrote their CS yesterday morning but have not heard back from them yet. Just wondering if the length of time I’ve been waiting is normal.

No they told me it would be around 8 weeks , which is crazy because they don’t have a problem taking your money right away.

Thanks Ryan. LAST NIGHT I was chatting with someone online from Disney who told me it had to done by UC , honestly the whole conversation with them was a waste of time, I don’t think she was very knowledgeable which usually doesn’t happen with disney.

I received 95% back from Disney e-tickets from Undercover Tourist very quickly and efficiently. Took 2-3 days and the credit was back on my card. Tickets were June 2020 dated.

I found there customer service pretty great. We chose to reschedule for later in the year, so no need to change the tickets. But I emailed them and they very promptly cancelled and refunded the room. I was able to re-book for the same cost (but that was totally by chance I think).

Wonder why they told me it would take 6-8 weeks-maybe because they were Universal tickets. I guess I will be calling them tomorrow.

We had a situation where we ordered tickets WDW and UO in late Feb and the USPS lost the tickets. In talking with UT, they suggested activating the tickets to prevent someone else from using them, but they put a note in our file that we can still cancel within the 90 day window, which comes up in late May. We are 99% sure we are going to cancel and take the 5% hit, but with the potential situation of Disney not opening until 2021, I’ll probably hold out as long as I can before doing it. .

Just to update with my experience; I wrote requesting a refund on April 7; they received the tickets (according to tracking) on April 10; the refund was issued on May 11.

Tickets were dated for May 14.

I contacted customer service twice via email in the month between delivery/refund and both times was told they were working on it.

So for me, it took just over 4 weeks to receive the refund.

I cancelled DLR tickets on April 14th. They told me 6-8 weeks. Because I never received an email to indicate it was in process, I called last weekend. She told me the cancellation was in process and it looked like I should be getting the refund soon. Here’s hoping!

Their customer service has been very nice and up front about expectations, so I appreciate that!

My situation may have been different because I was still in the 90 day return window.I sent in my cancellation on 5/11 and they immediately issued a refund of my DW tickets. They required my physical UO tickets for a refund. Actually, they said they didn’t need them but it would take 6-8 weeks because I had connected them to the app, but if I returned the physical tickets, it would be much faster. I sent them in the mail and was credited 2 days later. Communication was excellent even with my constant questioning them to make sure it was all good. Sometimes you just expect the worst, but their service was nothing less than awesome.

I called U T today because I got all my refunds except my Uni tickets. She said it looks like it was processed this week and should have the refund this week. With all my refunds coming through this past week , for the first time ever my credit card has a negative balance ! Lol BTW U T people are great, always helpful.

That’s happened to my Disney Visa card a couple times in all this…refunds for my house rental, refunds for the DAH party tickets.

Ryan that is funny. I am debating weather or not to book a room for September and the airlines have good prices this week, 77.00 round trip from my airport to Orlando. Ahhhh what to do?..

I’m trying to decide if I want to get a refund or just eventually change the dates through Disney. We will hopefully be going next April.

I am pretty sure if I change through Disney, the upcharge will negate any savings I got purchasing through UT.

I wish Disney would extend the tickets through December 2021… for us, going this year just isn’t possible.

Generally, you’ll keep the savings…but you still may have to pay more. But that’s not because you will lose the savings, but because you would be paying the increased price of the value of the tickets.

To illustrate, let’s say that you had tickets for July 1 - 7 of this year, and that those tickets, when purchased through Disney, would have cost you $400. (I’m making up numbers.) Let’s say, however, that you bought those same tickets through UT for $360. You saved $40.

But you then move your trip to April 1 - 7 of 2021. And let’s say Disney charges $425 for those dates. That means the difference would be $25. Disney would have you pay the $25. You would NOT pay the difference between the $360 you paid, and the $425…but only the difference of $400 and $425. You keep the savings!

Having said that, if you change the length of your tickets, it seems Disney has been sneaky (sometimes) about how they do this. Rather than charge the price difference between say, a 4 day ticket and a 6 day ticket, which might only be $50…they are charging the price of the AVERAGE day of the tickets. That is to say, if the tickets would be $320 across 4 days, the average price per day is $80. So, when you add two more days, they end up charging you $80 for each day, for $160! This isn’t really correct…it isn’t how they should be doing it, and it seems it might be different Cast Members are handling it differently. So be careful there. (Again, my numbers/scenario are illustrative only, and not meant to reflect actual numbers.)

Should You Buy Discount Disney World Tickets from Undercover Tourist?

Posted on Last updated: February 17, 2024

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

Did you know that you can save up to $70 per ticket when you buy your Walt Disney World theme park tickets from Undercover Tourist?

Many people wonder if it is safe to buy tickets from Undercover Tourists or wonder is Undercover Tourist legit?

I have bought tickets from them for years and can assure you they are a legitimate company.

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

Undercover Tourist is an Authorized Disney World Ticket Seller and is accredited by the Better Business Bureau .

Here’s everything you need to know about getting discount Disney World tickets from Undercover Tourist.

Are All Tickets Cheaper from Undercover Tourist?

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

First of all, you should know that one- and two-day tickets are actually the cheapest if you buy them directly from Disney.

But for three-day and longer tickets you’ll save a significant amount of money buying through Undercover Tourist .

Click here to head to the Disney site for 1 or 2-day tickets and read on to learn all about buying 3-day or longer tickets from Undercover Tourist.

What is Undercover Tourist’s refund policy?

cinderella castle

Any theme park tickets that you buy directly from Disney are non-refundable.

However, Undercover Tourist offers a generous 365-day refund policy .

Aside from saving money, this is the other main reason to buy from Undercover Tourist as opposed to Disney!

I have personally had to return tickets to Undercover Tourist and they were very helpful with the process.

Note: You will have a 5% fee deducted from your return and you have to NOT have already linked the tickets to your My Disney Experience account.

Click here for more refund policy details.

How to buy tickets from Undercover Tourist

First, you will need to know your travel dates since all Disney tickets are now date-based tickets.

Disney World ticket prices vary a TON based on the dates you are visiting.

I actually suggest that you head to the Disney World site first to scout out which dates are cheapest for your visit.

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

The reason is that on the Disney World site (click here to visit)  you can see the ticket cost on each day of the month using their calendar.

Undercover Tourist doesn’t show ticket prices on their calendars.

So do some research to select the dates you want to visit, then click here to head to the Undercover Tourist site to purchase .

How Will I Receive My Tickets?

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

You can have the tickets emailed to you and you will receive them within 24 hours.

This is a good option if you will be using a Magic Band during your trip .

disney magic bands

Or if you aren’t using a Magic Band, you can still link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account and use Mobile Magic on your phone.

Or you can have physical tickets mailed to your house.

Physical tickets can be returned but you’ll have to pay a small restocking fee.

So if you want the ability to get a refund if your plans change, then that is the way to go.

However, if you are buying only 1 or 2-day tickets, they are actually cheaper if you buy them directly from Disney.

I usually combine buying discounted tickets with renting DVC points through Davids DVC Rental , my other preferred way to save money at Disney World.

Undercover tourists are offering a Black Friday discount on 3-day BASE tickets only. Can park hopper be added through Disney, after purchasing base tickets through undercover tourists?

Yes, you can add Park Hopper after you link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account. That will make the tickets non-refundable (which they always are when you buy tickets through Disney) but you can always change the dates to any date in the future.

Undercover tourist customer service advised us poorly and will now cost us nearly $700 extra. Our original purchase of 11 tickets at the Disney parks had a locked in price with last year‘s pricing. After reconsidering we called back several times attempting to upgrade to a larger number of days in the Disney parks. They suggested that we cancel our original order and re-purchase in the next few days. What they failed to mention was they had no more inventory of tickets for last year‘s prices. As a result we are going to spend nearly $700 more to have the same ticket that was originally bought. All prices at the Disney parks have gone up and they did not look at their inventory when they told us to cancel our tickets. After speaking to management, they were completely unwilling to help us out. I think you’re better off working with Disney themselves. These third-party companies don’t care about the customer like Disney does. At least that’s the impression they have given us so far. I have asked to speak to upper management about the situation and how we were advised poorly in the situation. they are very reluctant to help us. They did, however acknowledge after my conversation that it would’ve been better to keep my original purchase and make an additional purchase before canceling my order just to make sure inventory could supply the ticket that we wanted. There was an acknowledgment that they made a mistake, but too bad for us.

If renting through DVC do you get travel insurance? It says you can't cancel so the next best thing is travel insurance, correct? I know there's a vendor on their site but I've never used travel insurance so I'm not sure how to go about it.

Hi Kristin! Yes, you can get travel insurance and the easiest thing is probably to go through the provider on their site. Just be sure to read the exclusions carefully before you purchase to make sure it will cover what you want. :)

ordered 4 tickets to discovery cove…

ordered 4 tickets to discovery cove via undercover tourist totaling 1071.00 dollars. the plans changed and one person couldn't make it. i called to cancel just one ticket and they said id have to reorder the 3 tickets and prove to them before they'd cancel these tickets. i asked where this policy was displayed on their website and they said "its not, its just our policy" that's illegal. i told them ill pay the 5% and just cancel the whole order and order direct from discovery cove. they said ok, two weeks later still waiting for my money, 2 more days until Ill be disputing the charges and getting my whole return back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deal with this lot at your peril!

Wish I hadn’t used these rip off thieving clowns! Ordered tickets which were promptly sent and then so promptly cancelled while they held on to my money! Id give them minus stars but best i can do is just the one and thats one star too many! Save yourself the aggro and hassle of dealing with second rate thieves like i have. Like many others, wish id read their reviews first, in essence, its a lesson learnt! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS at your peril, id rather have paid more for my tickets than dealing with this total shower of poo! These see you next Tuesdays have effing ruined a trip I have been planning for 2 years!

Update… I actually got the ticket the day before the show so not 48 hrs it was less than 24 hrs..Ugghhh I wish I had read these reviews first!! I am so BS right now Honestly, I wouldn’t even put a star there but you have to put a star there. I am so upset with this company I can’t even begin to explain. I wish I had done some serious research before purchasing tickets. I spent $300 for tickets in December for a comedy show in April I have a wedding coming up that I wasn’t aware about so I tried to call to get a refund which I could not do through them so therefore I tried to see if I could get my tickets so I could sell them through an online website, but apparently you don’t get your tickets up until possibly two days before the day of the show so you expect me to get my tickets two days before the show and then someone to buy tickets within two days so I’m pretty much gonna be out $300 and they were not helpful at all. They just said keep checking your email. It could be two days before I am so upset. I am pretty much out $300. I will never ever use them again .

Don’t buy concert tickets from them…

Don’t buy concert tickets from them unless you want to wait nearly two months to receive them !! They take your money fast enough but unless you call them you aren’t aware you have to wait until the ACTUAL TICKET SELLER makes contact with you . And you can’t have your money back either . Will NOT be buying anything else from them and will recommend my friends to do the same . The first guy I spoke to there was offhand with me and was very quick to tell me these tickets aren’t refundable. Plus they had a discount voucher that was on the checkout total but amazingly disappeared when I pressed pay !! As far as I’m concerned they are a rip off site . I payed with PayPal so I’m poised to open a dispute if I don’t see my tickets as I’ve been told . DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE BE WARNED

Should have read the reviews here…

Should have read the reviews here first. Not happy with this company. Bought 4 day tickets plus options to WDW for 4 adults cost $2,635.80 (US). Thought I was getting a good deal. Now find advised on the WDW official website for the same days as $2,198.16 (US). Undercover Tourist have advised bad luck and no difference refund. Cannot recommend them.

I would give negative stars if I could

I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased Universal Studios VIP tour tickets from them and then wanted to change the time of the tour. They told me they couldn't do it and to call Universal. I called Universal and they told me that only Undercover Tourist could do it. I called UT again and they had me pay for new tickets for the time I wanted and then refunded me for the original purchase... It's now 2 days before my trip and the new tickets won't scan with the Universal app but the old ones will. Zero. Effs. Given. by UT support. They are insisting that the new tickets are valid - went through the same back-and-forth between them and Universal - and they won't do anything about it. I asked what to do if I get to Universal and my tickets don't work... they said to call them. Fingers crossed that I actually get into the park/onto my tour! I will NEVER use Undercover Tourist again.

Recently bought a Black Friday deal for sea world San Diego. Called customer service a few times on the buy one get one free ticket and was duped into buying several sets to get free tickets. Turns out their deal was no better than one provided directly on Sea World website. With my dollars, hours of call time with three different representatives I will not use their site again.

Intentionally Obtuse Customer Service

Scam company with nonexistent customer service. If you get any response from them regarding an issue, it will be something like, “I’m sorry. We don’t understand your concern. Can you please explain it to us again for the 3rd time?” Screenshots, detailed step-by-step explanations, phone conversations… Nothing works. They basically will try to wear you down until you determine that it’s no longer worth your time. Avoid this company at all costs.

We had to wait for an hour at Busch…

We had to wait for an hour at Busch Gardens for someone to know what to do with our voucher. I gave them 3 stars since this may not be their fault but these vouchers aren’t universally recognized. We also had to wait in a line at Aquatica to get a manager to print real tickets. I would say not really worth the lower price for the worry and stress that it won’t be accepted or recognized.

Smooth experience

Bought three Disneyland tickets and it was very smooth. At first I was skeptical after reading all the bad reviews, but decided to test my luck since they offer a few bucks off. I did encounter their "validation" progress, but it was super simple - just enter the pending amount they hold on your credit card. After this was complete, I received tickets within one minutes. The tickets were valid on Disney website.

Thanks for all your help

Thanks for all your help. My money has been refunded and back in my account today after we had to get a refund on our Universal Studios tickets. Fantastic communication and reassurance during a very tricky time. We are hoping to come back to Orlando next year🤞and won't hesitate to recommend and use Undercover Tourist for our park tickets. It's not how people treat you when things are good but how they treat you when things are bad that shows their true colours. You've all been wonderful at helping us on this difficult time. Thank you once again and stay safe 💜 🐸

Horrible. Processed my transaction without security clearance. I had decided to purchase elsewhere and never completed the purchase but an hour later I got an email confirming the purchase that I never completed. I called immediately and was told after some argument and them talking to their supervisor that the refund was approved. Then a week went by with no refund so I contacted them again. They said they had to put in the request again and this time it was denied. I told them it had already been approved and to go back and listen to the first call. They said they did and it was never approved (I 100% know it was) so I asked forna copy of the recording but of course they said they can't give that to me. Because they lied and it was approved. Regardless, allowing the charge to go through in the first place without security clearance is fraud!

Very Misleading, Won’t Change Dates

Tickets are cheaper, and they advertise “90 day ticket return” and that you can use them for 365 days. BUT if you don’t read the fine print, that’s only some tickets. I tried to change our Universal Hollywood tickets to one day earlier and they absolutely refused. Very misleading (even my email at the top says 90 day return)! Never will I use them again or recommend them again!

Simple, genuine and 1-day Disney Tix!

It's midnight in the UK 8th October 2022. I've just booked two 1-day tickets for my kids for the 18th Oct. I couldn't find 1-day tickets anywhere else (the missus and I already have long-term tickets). Wanted to book in advance because reservations were only available for the 18th and 20th for the Park we wanted and we were concerned it would become unavailable like the other dates we are in the US. UT was an Absolute doddle. Booked the tickets - paid via PayPal - got the tickets emailed to me immediately. Spoke on Chat to Louise beforehand, who allayed any fears I had before booking and was swift in her replies and helpful. I used the 12 character reference on my e-tickets to immediately make the Park reservation on the Disney site and it all went through fine. Very happy and recommend.

Disneyland ok, last minute hotel drop cost us.

The Disneyland tickets were a good deal. But the hotel never reserved properly, leaving us scrambling for a hotel and paying almost $300 more because of their system. Instead of trying to fix the issue, they kept giving a run around of "that can happen, sorry to hear, sucks to be you" replies. I found another app (Klook) that I am trying next.

Date of experience : November 19, 2022

Do not recommend

Horrible checkout experience with the payment verification. Finally was able to book, but when we went to check in to our hotel we learned they had cancelled our reservation despite already charging us in full for it. Had to book the hotel out of pocket at less than ideal rates. Have not received any response back from them nor a refund. Do not recommend.

Fine until you need help

The problem with undercovertourist is their inability to help when there's a problem. I wanted to change the date of a Universal ticket. Universal customer service was like, "sure, no problem, we do that all the time" until they found out that we had purchased through a travel agent (Undercover Tourist), and then they said we needed to talk to the travel agent. So I called Undercover Tourist. That person was no help: He said he could issue us new tickets for the date we wanted, and then try to cancel the existing ones, but he wasn't sure if the cancellation would succeed. I'm like I need to know that before we buy the new tickets, and he was like, no, you need to buy first and find out in about 24 hours if you paid double. I asked to talk to a supervisor. He said someone would call me in a couple hours. Nobody did. If I had bought direct through Universal, they could have helped no problem.

SCAM AND NO REFUND

I PURCHASED SOME TICKETS AND THEN GOT A BETTER DEAL IN ANOTHER PAGE, HOWEVER I'M STUCK BECAUSE I CANNOT GET A FULL REFUND, AS PROMISED, ONLY 95%.... THAT IS A TOTAL SCAM! LOL THEY COULD GIVE ME 100% IF I PURCHASED ANOTHER THING FROM THEIR SITE.

How to make a park reservation with Undercover Tourist tickets

Why we love undercover tourist.

We love Undercover Tourist for many reasons, here are a few: 1. They’re a great deal! Who wants to pay full price when you can get a deal! 2. They have a 365 day refund policy. 3. Their tickets don’t expire for a looong time! If you purchased today, they don’t expire til January 2024, that’s almost two years away! 4. They have great customer service and are so helpful.

How do you buy tickets through Undercover Tourist?

It’s easy! Here is our link for Disneyland, CLICK HERE. Here is out link for Disney World, CLICK HERE. Ever since the parks re-opened you are now required to have a park ticket AND a park reservation. CLICK HERE to see what our favorite ticket to get is.

Okay I'm all signed up and I have my tickets but I can't figure out how to apply them or link them to my new MDE . Help! Once someone tells me how, will it be obvious how you make FPs?? And by linking tickets and making FPs that doesn't USE them somehow, right? They're still unused and unexpired when I go to use them next month?

how to cancel undercover tourist tickets

DIS Veteran

Correct, your tickets aren't used until you go into the park.

Chrislovesdisney

Chrislovesdisney

When you purchase your tickets, you will be given a multi-digit code. You just enter that code on MDE on the ticket reservations page, select the individuals who the tickets should be applied to, and that’s it. It’s all linked. You make your FP+ when allowed to (depending if you’re staying onsite or not) and they are considered “used” once you physically enter a park, same as a ticket directly purchased from Disney.

On the My Disney Experience website: After your log in, select My Reservations and Tickets from the MDE dropdown menu. Select Link Tickets under Tickets and Passes and enter your reservation number listed on the E-ticket PDF found in your Undercover Tourist account or your E-Tickets are Ready email. A list of your E-tickets will be displayed, and you can then assign the ticket/tickets to yourself, someone in your friends & family list, or a new guest. From the My Disney Experience app: You can scan the bar code on your E-ticket PDF found in your Undercover Tourist account or your E-Tickets are Ready email. From the app, select My Reservations and follow the instructions listed under Link a Ticket or Pass. Click to expand...

For the record and in case a new user is having the same problem, I'm getting an error trying to link tickets on the website. I haven't tried the app...I'll probably wait and see if it resolves itself today and keep trying the website.

Joy indeed...I finally noticed that it was showing me as Canada next to my username. So I changed it back to US, but then it sent me to log in, would partially load the plans page, then back to log in, in an endless loop. Finally I put /dining on the end of the URL manually, THEN changed to US, THEN logged in and now all is well. For the moment. lol

Just be aware, once you link your tickets, they are not refundable or exchangeable. So be sure you are going to use them and they are the ones you want. (Can upgrade once get to Disney but not before, ie, if want to add a day)

If you bought e-tickets, how long did it take for them to process and arrive? I just ordered mine and am excited and impatient haha.

Undercover Tourist called me to verify my charges before they sent me my codes. I was buying tickets for Disneyland and Disneyworld so they tested charges to my credit card and I had to share the exact amount placed on hold. After that I got my codes within 5 minutes and went to the website to add to my Disneyworld reservation.

For this return policy, only 95% of the items total will be refunded. Undercover Tourist keeps the remaining 5% fee to cover the inconvenience. They also state that they are unable to make changes to e-tickets. This is probably the biggest downside of Undercover Tourist's policy.

  6. Undercover Tourist-Any Drawbacks?

I almost always use Undercover Tourist, using the Mousesavers discount. They aren't always the lowest price, but often are close. I trust them. They sell tickets as refundable (with a very small restocking fee) which some of the other sites don't have…so if anything happens where you have to cancel your trip, you can get a refund.

  7. Undercover Tourist cancellations experiences

That is to say, if the tickets would be $320 across 4 days, the average price per day is $80. So, when you add two more days, they end up charging you $80 for each day, for $160! This isn't really correct…it isn't how they should be doing it, and it seems it might be different Cast Members are handling it differently.

Generally, tickets bought from Undercover Tourist are refundable, minus a 5% processing fee. You can find their refund policy in a few places. Buying these tickets directly through Disney will run you $396 ($99 per day) per person ages three and over. Kids under the age of three don't need their own park ticket. You can also buy tickets on a per-day basis. Generally speaking, the more days you buy, the cheaper your per-day cost ends up being.

Any theme park tickets that you buy directly from Disney are non-refundable. However, Undercover Tourist offers a generous 365-day refund policy..
