40 MTV Reality Shows You Probably Forgot Existed
RIP The Ashlee Simpson Show.
If you grew up in the early aughts, you remember MTV in its prime— TRL , Real World/Road Rules Challenge , there were so many good ones. And yet, the network was also filled with reality shows we can't believe ever made it to air. Sure, you probably wouldn't rewatch them today (or maybe you would, no judgment), but you'll certainly have a good laugh looking back on them. Behold: The best shows on MTV that you probably totally forgot were actual things you watched.

'Making the Band' (2000 - 2002)
Making the Band was the very first installment of the successful franchise and aired for three seasons. The show centered around Sean "Diddy" Combs and a group of artists who competed to join his band. The end result was the mildly successful Danity Kane and, good news: MTV recently announced a revival of the popular show, which is set to premiere in 2020 .
'Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica' (2003 - 2005)
They were the It couple of pop, so audiences were pumped when Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson welcomed MTV cameras into their home after their 2002 wedding to capture all of their domestic bliss . The show aired for three seasons and the marriage only lasted for four years, but certain moments, like the iconic chicken vs. tuna debate, will last forever.
'The Ashlee Simpson Show' (2004 - 2005)
Before we knew Ashlee Simpson as a person in her own right, we knew of her as Jessica Simpson's cool/edgy younger sister who wore a lot of skinny scarves. That all changed when we were introduced to her world on The Ashlee Simpson Show and followed her as she recorded her first album.
'Meet the Barkers' (2005 - 2006)
Travis Barker, the drummer for Blink-182, and his then-wife Shanna Moakler challenged the idea of your wholesome, next door neighbors by actually being pretty chill...sadly they're no longer together. Call it a case of the MTV reality show curse?
'The Osbournes' (2002 - 2005)
America fell in love with Ozzy and his (then unknown) family over the course of five seasons on MTV. BTW, seeing Kelly as an angsty teen is amazing. This one's actually worth a rewatch.
'Rich Girls' (2003)
The show followed the daughters of two successful businessmen: Ally Hilfiger (left, daughter of Tommy Hilfiger) and her best friend Jaime Gleicher (right, daughter of Leo Gleicher who started Innovation Luggage). At one point, they talk about the ethics of paying $400 for shoes or...saving a life. You know, the important stuff.
'Life of Ryan' (2007 - 2009)
Pro skateboarder (and my old school crush, not gonna lie) Ryan Sheckler took center stage in this show that somehow lasted 3 seasons (how?). In it, he boards, takes care of his little bros, and flirts with all the girls. The best part was his monologues on life and love and happiness. So wise, that Ryan.
''Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave' (2004)
Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro chose a pretty confident title for their newlywed reality series on MTV, given that their marriage only lasted for two years.
'Punk'd' (2003 - 2015)
The world of pranks and celebrity collided when Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd premiered in 2003. The concept was simple: An accomplice would bring their celebrity friend into a situation that was set up with undercover actors who put the stars in cringe-worthy situations. You weren't a teen in the early aughts if you didn't know the Justin Timberlake Punk'd episode by heart.
'Surf Girls' (2003)
Fourteen amateur surfers, picked to live in a house, wear a ton of Roxy, and compete to get the chance to go pro. Is there anything more MTV than that?
'8th & Ocean' (2006)
This show was apparently so bad, you can't find *any* real video of it anymore, almost as if as a society we collectively said "nope" and moved on. It was canceled after one season, but during that season we watched as aspiring male and female models lived and worked in South Beach, Miami, Florida.
'Jackass' (2000 - 2001)
"Don't try this at home" was a catchphrase every teenage boy was quoting after the success of MTV's Jackass . Hosted by Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, and Chris Pontius the show ran for 3 seasons, and resulted in countless movies.
'Viva La Bam' (2003 - 2005)
Jackass star, Bam Margera, landed his own spin-off in 2003, but unlike the extreme stunts he performed on Jackass , the entire series was focused on him pranking his parents while he lived with them. We can't help but question why they didn't kick him out after the first episode. Instead, it lasted five (five!) seasons.
'Cribs' (2000 - 2009)
We'll never forget what the inside of 50 Cent's "East Coast Playboy Mansion" looked like back in 2007, and for that we're so grateful to MTV Cribs . The reality show where everyone from JoJo to Lil Bow Wow gave a personal tour around their luxurious mansions was a must-watch. The most interesting part? Oddly enough, their fridge.
'Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County' (2004 - 2006)
Laguna Beach followed a group of high school juniors and seniors around their hometown of Laguna Beach, California, as they went to parties, on spring break (long live Cabo), and served up so much drama that MTV decided to follow their lead to Los Angeles with a spin-off.
'The Hills' (2006 - 2010)
After the success of Laguna Beach, MTV cameras followed Lauren Conrad as she navigated school, dating, and friendships post-high school in Los Angeles. The show was so popular, MTV brought back a reboot this year, but sadly Lauren passed on the opportunity.
'The City' (2008 - 2010)
A spin-off of a spin-off? Only on MTV. The City followed Whitney Port from The Hills as she navigated New York City over the course of two seasons. It was also the show that launched Olivia Palermo into notoriety and for that we are eternally grateful.
'Room Raiders' (2003 - 2009)
Room Raiders essentially involved being kidnapped from your house, brought to a viewing booth with two other boys or girls, and watching someone go through your room before deciding whether they wanted to go on a date with you or not. There were some questionable things found in those rooms throughout the show's eight seasons.
'A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila' (2007 - 2008)
When Tila Tequila's show first premiered on MTV, the concept pushed the boundaries of cable television. You see, Tila Tequila was a MySpace star who was searching for love. The twist? She's bi-sexual and welcomed both men and women into the mansion.
'A Double Shot at Love' (2008)
After the success of Tila Tequila's dating show, MTV decided to double down with A Double Shot at Love, a dating show that followed a pair bi-sexual identical twins, Ricki and Vicki, on their quest to find lasting relationships. It was...messy.
'My Super Sweet Sixteen' (2005 - 2011)
My Super Sweet 16 is known for three things: Bratty teens girls, overindulgent parents, and the birthday boy or girl almost always getting a luxury car at the end of the episode. All that being said, it was one of the most entertaining shows on the network and always brought the drama.
'Rob & Big' (2006 - 2008)
The concept of Rob & Big sounds relatively simple: A former pro-skateboarder and his bodyguard just hanging out in Los Angeles, playing pranks and having fun. But when it premiered in 2006, it instantly took off as viewers were obsessed with their unusual lifestyle and friendship.
'Ridiculousness' (2011 - Now)
When Rob Dyrdek's show Ridiculousness premiered in 2011, audiences were instantly hooked on the video-viewing program. For 13 seasons, and still counting, Rob has showed us some of the most absurd videos on the internet.
'Next' (2005 - 2008)
Next was the most ruthless dating show on MTV in the 2000s, hands down. One lucky man or woman would get to meet a bunch of perspective dates one by one—and could yell "next" at any time to end the date and move on to the next candidate. Sometimes it would end with a couple running off into the sunset holding hands, but other times potential dates didn't even make it off of the bus before they were ousted.
'Plain Jane' (2011)
Plain Jane premiered on the CW, but after not getting renewed, it made its way over to MTV for season 2. The show followed the stylish British fashionista, Louise Roe, as she transformed the life of a "plain Jane" by giving them a makeover and confidence boost.
'Pimp My Ride' (2004 - 2009)
For anyone clunking around town in a banged up car, Pimp My Ride was the ultimate goal. During each episode, a team of car experts, including mechanics and customizers, came together to give one lucky person the car of their dreams. Nothing was too extra or extreme for this show.
'Jersey Shore' (2009 - 2012)
It was impossible not to know who Snooki or The Situation was in 2009. The reality show that followed a cast of 20-somethings while they spent the summer at the Jersey Shore became a phenomenon. It even came back in 2018 and is on season three of Jersey Shore Family Reunion.
'Snooki & JWoww' (2012 - 2015)
With the success of Jersey Shore, both MTV and castmates Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley were eager to capitalize on their momentum. In 2012, Snooki & JWoww premiered. It followed the two roommates around their everyday life in New Jersey. The show had a solid following and lasted for four seasons.
'Road Rules' (1995 - 2007)
MTV's game show-style reality series, Road Rules , brought together six attractive young people and put them in an RV together. They drove around the season's selected region and competed for money. The show was essentially The Real World meets The Amazing Race , and, really, what could be better than that?
'TRL (Total Request Live)' (1998 - Now)
In the early 2000s, everyone rushed home to tune into TRL . The show was a countdown of the top music videos of the day, and was hosted by VJs including Carson Daly and Vanessa Milano, as well as some of the hottest artists of the moment.
'16 and Pregnant' (2009 - 2015)
You've probably heard of the drama that circulates around the Teen Mom cast members, and it all started on 16 and Pregnant. The show followed a group of young girls from across America, who all unexpectedly got pregnant, but each had different circumstances. It was *controversial* when it first premiered, but has since resulted in numerous successful spin-offs.
'Girl Code' (2013 - 2015)
MTV's response to their success with Guy Code ? Girl Code, which was a commentary on all things related to the female sex, from waxing to frenemies. Comedians and personalities shared their witty and sometimes bad advice with viewers.
'True Life' (1998 - 2016)
The documentary series True Life first aired in 1998 and lasted an impressive 22 seasons. The show carved out its own unique section of pop culture as it delved into the bizarre habits of people and subcultures in society. Where else could you learn about an addiction to eating one's couch or the tendency to drink your laundry detergent?
'Made' (2003 - 2013)
Throughout it's 13 seasons, Made was one of the most inspiring and wholesome television shows to appear on MTV. Shot in a documentary style, each episode followed a young teen who wanted to fulfill an unrealized dream. The show would pair them with a Made coach, who specialized in whatever they were aiming to do, whether that was trying out for a sport they've never played or asking out the hottest girl in school.
'Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club' (2019)
True, this show aired fairly recently, but we thought LiLo's return to the camera deserved a shout-out. Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club was labeled a docu-series, but let's be real: it was a reality show. It followed a group of employees around the actress's new Beach Club in Mykonos, Greece. Sadly, this gem wasn't renewed for a second season.
'Parental Control' (2005 - 2010)
Parental Control usually started with a teenager's parents hating their boyfriend/girlfriend and wanting them to meet someone else. As a solution, the parents picked a few dates for their teen and then proceeded to watch the dates *with* their son or daughter's current GF/BF. It didn't always turn out the way the parents wanted, but it was always entertaining (and hard) to watch.
'MTV Unplugged' (1989 - Now)
Since MTV stands for Music Television, it makes sense that one of the oldest and most popular shows on the network is MTV Unplugged —a show that let's artists perform acoustic versions of their songs for an audience. Many musicians, from Paul McCartney to Mariah Carey, have appeared on the show.
'Sorority Life' (2002)
In this documentary-style show, MTV followed six women as they rushed, pledged, and were initiated into Greek life on Sorority Life. There was an epic Michelle Branch song that played in the intro, FWIW.
'Date My Mom' (2004 - 2006)
In one of the weirder dating shows that MTV produced, Date My Mom sent a guy or girl out on a date with three different moms. The singleton must then pick who he wants to take on a date. Weird, we know.
'Remote Control' (1987-1990)
When MTV started, the network was all music programs (obviously), but Remote Control was the first non-music show. It was a game show about TV-related trivia, ran from 1987 to 1990, and is considered the start of MTV's aforementioned reality programs.

The Elite ‘ MTV Cribs to Open Door ’ Club
Every institution has its version of elite status. Saturday Night Live has the five-timers, Keith McNally has AAA (Anna Wintour) and AA (rumored longtime boyfriend Bill Nighy) rankings, and my high school had a separate lunch room for popular kids called “the commons.” Today, I would like to add my own: celebrities whose homes were featured on the spectacularly lowbrow original MTV Cribs who were later featured on Architectural Digest ’s Open Door series, which is decidedly fancier if not a little joyless.
Cribs first premiered in 2000 and set the standard for celebrity home tours in the new millennium: The houses were almost always ugly (sorry), the hammy cameos and entourages were plentiful, and there was always a lot of beige-leather and cherry-wood finishes. Its impact can’t be overstated: My sister’s bat-mitzvah theme was MTV, and I sat at the Cribs table. Open Door premiered in 2012, with the magazine’s sheen of sophistication and design-mindedness replacing the car-shaped beds of its predecessor. The celebrities featured want you to know they have taste, even if that taste happens to be the same genre of bland minimalism (and even if, a year later, many of those homes end up being listed for sale). The famous people featured on both, then, offer us a document of transformation: a coming of age, a spiritual awakening, a … hiring of Clements Design. Let’s begin.
Adam Levine
In 2004, a full six years before the debut of Instagram and nearly 20 years before he would use the platform to send adulterous sexts to multiple women while married to Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine opened the doors of his Los Angeles two-bedroom to Cribs . The house is fairly empty — both Levine and bandmate-slash-roommate James Valentine claimed to have only stayed there a handful of nights since touring the world on the success of She Will Be Loved — but a few decorative instincts can be sensed. Both men, then in their 20s, appear to have matching California kings and “jungle” printed wallpaper above their beds — a very millionaire-dorm-suite vibe. Other era-appropriate flourishes include hypercolor portraits of the Beatles (Levine “love, love, loves” waking up every morning and “seeing his heroes”), a fridge full of nothing but Red Bull (with a separate Red Bull fridge on top), and a state-of-the-art-for-2004 television setup on which a group of friends can be seen playing Halo . (“I’m trying to create a really sick environment here,” Levine explains.) The Adam of Cribs is naïve to questions of taste and function. (He stores an ab machine in the home’s depressingly empty kitchen.)
The Adam of 2021, warm in the embrace of wedded domesticity, parenthood, and a Pacific Palisades 10-bedroom, seems to have matured. The home features some Open Door classics: arcade games, sneakers in display cases, and interiors by Kardashian-favorite Clements Design. But Levine’s tastes have refined. The kitchen features a giant waterfall island and is now the heart of the home: “Doesn’t matter how nice your house is,” he says, “the kitchen is where everyone ends up.” There are still video games, but family-appropriate (“The kids … huge Ms. Pac-Man fans”). The dorm bedroom is long gone with a Pettibon above the bed replacing the off-the-shelf pop art. In quite possibly the most candid moment of the series, Levine says, “This house isn’t for sale, so don’t even think about it … for at least a year,” while showing off his dude heaven: rows of sweats and T-shirts and shoes in his Kanye-inspired closet. (The house sold for $51 million just nine months after this video was published.) Significantly, Levine has barely aged between the two videos despite his lack of tattoos in his Cribs tour. Maybe it’s all the sexting.
Travis Barker
Could the Travis Barker of 2002 have predicted that he would one day be a drummer and reality-television star married to a Kardashian instead of a drummer and reality-television star married to Shanna Moakler? Life — a wild ride. This may be where the continuities end, though. The Cribs tour of his Corona, California, home features a massive entryway fish tank (“I don’t really care about any of the fish in here besides Scooter”) and a man who has yet to discover veganism. The white leather couches and DVD collection place us firmly in the early aughts, and his kitchen is as upsetting as any young musician’s. (He shows off a box of ketchup packets and SpaghettiOs.) Barker’s tour also features another Cribs classic: a completely staged cameo, this time Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas in Barker’s drum room.
By 2022, Barker’s restrained Waldo Fernandez–led Calabasas home is nearly indistinguishable from any of the Kardashian-Jenner homes featured (relentlessly) on AD ’s YouTube channel (we counted 12), but he is consistent in his black-and-cream color scheme. The fish tank is gone (rest in peace, Scooter) as Barker shows off his Apple Store–refined, minimalist home. Also gone are the ketchup packets, replaced by a matcha station (Kourtney makes a cameo, less ostentatious than the Cribs variety, praising her fiancé’s “famous matcha.”) His affinity for skeletons carries over between homes but is now more understated, as shown in his Buster and Punch custom-designed skull lamp and a Kourtney Kardashian original — a plate painted at Color Me Mine.
One thing has endured over the decades: Barker’s commitment to riding BMX bikes indoors and the aforementioned drum room. Some things never change.
Vanessa Carlton
Carlton is a Manhattan girl in both her Cribs debut and AD tour, and unlike her fellow Cribs - AD crossovers, is in the same place for both tours. The Cribs Carlton of 2006 shows off her (tasteful) nude art and her 14 bottles of vodka (that she respectfully attributes to her Russian heritage). By far the most charming part of Vanessa’s Cribs tour is her complete giddiness over her “freaking” in-unit washer and dryer (“Having a washer and dryer room in New York is amazing”) . Perhaps less charming but just as candid: She describes her bidet as “for ass-washing.”
In Vanessa’s AD tour in 2020, we meet her again — but with bangs. The kitchen remains largely the same — kept the stainless steal, lost the dead shark in a jar — though she’s improved the living room by embracing the deep sectional. (The nudes are gone, though.) The place is very empty, and if you wonder why, it’s because, as Bobby Finger pointed out last year in his own assessment of celebrity home tours, she was trying to rent it out. The listing boasted that the piano on which she wrote “A Thousand Miles” could be included in the rental. A piece of history!
Naomi Campbell
The Campbell of 2003 is showing off her Jamaica home (the former residence of James Bond writer Ian Fleming). While Cribs felt deliberately over-the-top, Campbell’s vacation home holds up better than most. It’s small and cozy, and if you lost the dated television, you could mistake it for a not-terrible Airbnb rental. (The Bob Marley portrait only enhances this vibe.) The home is filled with vintage iron beds, practical mosquito netting, and what she calls “the best swimming pool in the world.” (I agree, it’s a gorgeous pool.) Her octagonal bedroom (“I love octagons,” supermodel Naomi Campbell) is delightful — I’d sleep there tonight.
Her present-day Kenyan compound is considerably more luxe. The home is similarly designed to maximize indoor-outdoor spaces and features a lot of antique dark woods (“I find wood so grounding”). She reveals that air-conditioning causes wrinkles (“I think”), and who can disagree since she looks stunning 15 years after her original Cribs video. Well past the seven-minute mark, Naomi decides to show off her own room in her continental resort, including massive pictures of a little boy draped in red (“I love this little boy, I think he’s gorg”) and a lion (“I love lions, I mean the lion is it”). The lion is it, and so is Naomi Campbell’s Kenyan compound.

MTV Cribs to tour the original Scream house, where all the murderous magic happened
On the show's latest episode, Dylan Minnette walks fans through Stu Macher's pad — and dishes on the fifth film's new set of rules for unmasking the killer.
Are you ready to see where the (murderous) magic happened? EW can reveal that MTV Cribs will teach fans "the rules" of maintaining a humble horror abode with a special tour of Stu Macher's (Matthew Lillard) house, the backdrop for most of the original Scream 's bloody action. The episode arrives ahead of the pad's return in the movie's fifth franchise entry , out Jan. 14.
In our exclusive clip from the special edition of the show below, Scream 5 actor Dylan Minnette — who plays Wes Hicks, son of Marley Shelton's returning policewoman, Judy Hicks, from Scream 4 — strolls through Stu's legendary living room, where Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) first explained to fellow teens how to survive a slasher flick in Wes Craven's 1996 classic.
"In the new one, there are some added rules," Minnette says before opening the door to the kitchen, where the true killers behind the infamous Ghostface mask were revealed in the first movie. "Never trust the love interest; the motive is always connected to the past; and, No. 3, the first victim is always a part of a friend group that the killer is a part of. Don't say I didn't warn you!"
The fifth Scream film reunites stars Neve Campbell , Courteney Cox , and David Arquette , all of whom have reprised their roles throughout the series.
"It was a wildly anxiety-producing situation," director Tyler Gillett, who helmed the film with his Ready or Not collaborator Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, previously told EW . "They were not disposable roles; they were very, very important and the heartbeat of what was great about the script. We couldn't imagine the movie without any of them, and so not having that perfectly locked in right off the bat was definitely scary."
The new Scream edition of the docuseries rolls out during the network's block of memorable MTV Cribs episodes from the past beginning Monday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, before the fifth Scream flick slashes through theaters Jan. 14.

The VMAs Will Celebrate Its 40th Anniversary in New York
By Jon Blistein

The VMAs are headed home — well, close enough — to celebrate its 40th anniversary: After two years on the other side of the Hudson River, MTV ’s flagship awards show will return to New York, taking place Sept. 10 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, just outside of New York City.
The Video Music Awards debuted in 1984 at Radio City Music Hall. While that storied NYC venue has hosted the show numerous times over the decades, it hasn’t been held there since 2018.
For the past two years, the VMAs have taken place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It’s also recently been held in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but this is the first time the VMAs have ventured out to Long Island. It’ll also be the first time the UBS Arena — which opened in 2021 — has hosted an awards show.

It’s unclear at the moment if the VMAs have anything special in store for their 40th anniversary. Show details, as well as nominees, will be announced in the coming months.
Last year’s VMAs were hosted by Nicki Minaj and featured performances from artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Shakira , plus an all-star 50th-anniversary hip-hop tribute to close out the night (probably best not to remember the whole Global Icon Award hubbub around Diddy , though). Taylor Swift took home the most awards , with nine, and ‘NSync even reunited to present the prize for Best Pop Video. It was enough to earn a rousing review of “didn’t even suck this year” from Rolling Stone ’s Rob Sheffield.

Charli also recently unveiled ‘ The Von dutch remix with addison rae & a. g. cook ’, an effervescent rework of the smash hit single featuring A. G. Cook’s signature brand of idiosyncratic production and Charli and Addison going back and forth on vocals.
Charli threw a momentous Boiler Room in New York’s Brooklyn in February to launch the ‘BRAT’ campaign with A. G. Cook, George Daniel, Finn Keane and Doss. ‘ Boiler Room & Charli XCX Presents: PARTYGIRL ’ broke the record for the most ever RSVPs to a Boiler Room event, with over 40k people registering to attend. Featuring special guest appearances from the likes of Addison Rae and Julia Fox, the show has easily become one of the viral moments of the year.
Australian pop sensation Troye Sivan, known for his chart-topping hits and captivating performances, will be coming off the heels of his European arena tour in support of his critically acclaimed third album, “Something to Give Each Other” (2023) – a celebration of sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love and friendship. His hit single “Rush ” – which earned two Grammy nominations and amassed over 180 million combined global streams to date– and “ Got Me Started ,” the second single from his 2023 album, have gained worldwide recognition amongst his dedicated fan base.
Troye Sivan and Charli XCX are no strangers to collaboration, having previously worked together on smash hits such as “1999” and “2099.” Their undeniable chemistry and shared passion for music have solidified their partnership as one of the most dynamic duos in pop music.

A new wave one-stop shop will tour North America this summer when Howard Jones and ABC will be hitting stages across North America with special guest Haircut 100. The full itinerary appears below.
“I’m very excited to be hitting the road with my friends ABC and Haircut 100,” Jones enthused. “Our audiences can look forward to some seriously top tunes night after night! Bring your celebratory selves to the party.”
Popular on Variety
Of course, the evening will play out like an evening filled with hits from the early days of MTV, when the so-called “Second British Invasion” dominated the channel. Jones’ hits “New Song” and “What Is Love,” and “Things Can Only Get Better” probably segued into or out of ABC’s “Look of Love,” “Poison Arrow” and “Be Near Me” and Haircut 100’s “Love Plus One” and “Fantastic Day.”
All three acts have gone on to other successes, but this tour brings together the songs and sounds that first brought them to fame.

Young performed some of his greatest hits, including “Cortez The Killer” and “Heart Of Gold” to fans’ delight. He performed a couple of deep cuts as well.
Young and Crazy Horse killed the performance, and it’s clear that both the legend and the band have quite a bit of pent-up creativity. They’ve just put out a new collaborative album as well, FU##IN’ UP , which was released just a few days ago on April 20. An all-format version will be released tomorrow, April 26.
Neil Young’s Love Earth Tour Setlist
Curious about what you can expect from Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s current tour? Here’s the setlist from last night’s show:
1. “Cortez The Killer”
2. “Cinnamon Girl”
3. “Scattered (Let’s Think About Livin’)”
4. “Don’t Cry No Tears”
5. “Down By The River”
6. “The Losing End (When You’re On)”
7. “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere”
8. “Powderfinger”
9. “Love And Only Love”
10. “Comes A Time” (Solo/Acoustic Performance)
11. “Heart Of Gold” (Solo/Acoustic Performance)
12. “Human Highway” (Solo/Acoustic Performance)
13. “Don’t Be Denied”
14. “Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)”
While fans shouldn’t expect Young’s setlist to be exactly the same for all of the Love Earth Tour’s upcoming dates, last night’s show in Cali gave a pretty solid preview of what fans can expect from the rest of the trek.
Young and Crazy Horse will perform another set tonight at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre before traveling to Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and onward towards Canada.

Frontman Dan Reynolds says of the new track, “After taking some time off the road and spending time catching up with family and loved ones, I finally have felt the desire to go back to the sonic places that originally brought me the most joy, but with a new outlook and mentality. The world looks much different after being a band for more than a decade. But some things will always remain the same. It’s finding that right balance of nostalgia and freshness that brings me the most joy in the studio. We had a lot of fun making this one and hope you enjoy it too.”
