8 Things a First-Time Disneyland Paris Visitor Should Know

If you're taking the family to France, you might consider a visit to Disneyland Paris. As a Disney World guidebook writer and all-around Disney fanatic, a trip to Chez Mickey was high on my bucket list. Now that I'm back, I'm happy to share what a first-time visitor to Disneyland Paris needs to know.

Disneyland Paris Is Cheaper Than US Disney, But...

How much cheaper varies by when you go. Depending on the day you visit, one day/one park tickets can go as low as $63/day. Even peak tickets will run you $101. By comparison, tickets at Disney World start at $109 and go up to $129 on peak days.

And for anything more than a two-day visit, annual passes for Disneyland Paris look like a good deal. Annual passes for Disneyland Paris are as low as 149 euros ($170) and even the super-deluxe model is only 399 euros ($450). When buying your tickets in France, make sure to use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees .

Here's the big "but": Disneyland's FastPass system can be outrageously expensive. Disneyland Paris follows the Universal Studios model where you buy a separate FastPass that allows you a varying number of entries based on how much you pay. The bare-bones, one-time-per-ride (and not every ride) model runs $58 and it goes all the way up to $192 for just a single day.

All is not lost, though. Disneyland Paris also has the old-school, paper FastPass system. As long as you are on your game and get those FastPasses early, you can still ride everything you want to ride without spending a lot of extra money to cut the lines.

Unlike US Disney tickets, Disneyland Paris tickets are actually available through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal with transportation from Paris. However, it is not always a good value if you're only doing one park and it's offseason. I see prices at $123 (8,200 UR if you use your Chase Sapphire Reserve points). The train ride is normally less than $10 and park tickets are as low as $63. However, if you're doing a Park Hopper and peak season, it isn't a bad deal as the Chase portal charges the same price year-round. Like in the US, the park tickets coded as entertainment, not travel, for category bonus purposes.

It's Well Loved by Locals

In this way, Disneyland Paris reminds me of Disneyland in California . This means you're well served to schedule your visit for a weekday to avoid crowds. The difference between our Saturday visit and our Tuesday visit was stark. Granted, weather was partly to blame, but it's still a solid strategy to visit Disneyland Paris on Monday–Friday, if you have the option. While the park may draw lots of locals, English is spoken everywhere and much of the staff during our visit was actually British.

It's Really Easy to Get to from Paris, But Takes an Hour

Transportation to and from Disneyland Paris is top-notch, with the RER/TGV train station stopping right at the park gates. However, if you're paying (or hoping to avoid) Paris hotel prices, it might be worth it for you to stay closer to Disneyland Paris for a night. Not only could it be cheaper, you'll be grateful not to have the long train ride back to the city after a full Disney day. If you stay at one of the six Disneyland Paris hotels, you can get into the parks an hour earlier than the general public.

Disneyland Paris Has Two Parks ... Kinda

Just as California has Disneyland and California Adventure Park, Disneyland Paris has two parks directly across from each other: Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. And just as Hollywood Studios in Florida is only worth a half day ( at least until Star Wars Land opens ), a casual Disney fan could probably skip Walt Disney Studios in France. If you've only got one day, save it for Parc Disneyland.

As at Hollywood Studios in Florida, Walt Disney Studios has the Tower of Terror (officially called the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror), Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and even a version of the old "Lights, Camera, Action" stunt show.

Walt Disney Studios also has a Toy Story Playland, but the attractions pale in comparison to those at Disney World. In fact, it feels like Disney bought the Toy Story Playland rides from a roadside carnival and put on a colorful coat of paint.

There are two attractions that are distinctive for stateside visitors: Crush's Coaster, which is an indoor roller coaster based on "Finding Nemo," and Ratatouille: The Adventure, which is a trackless 3D journey through Remy's kitchen. "Ratatouille" is on its way to Epcot, so it was fun to get a preview. For that reason, more passionate Disney fans might want to plan a visit to Walt Disney Studios. However, I'd go with a Park Hopper because I don't see spending all day there.

It's Not Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom

Parc Disneyland is more like someone turned the Magic Kingdom up to 11. For instance, Phantom Manor, which looks a little like the Haunted Mansion, is more intense and darker than the hitchhiking ghosts you might be used to in Florida. Sleeping Beauty Castle can not only be toured, you can visit Maleficent locked up in the basement. Big Thunder Mountain is almost twice as long as in the US and even "It's a Small World" has a North American section that charmed all ages. And wait until I tell you about Space Mountain. (There's a reason it is on TPG 's list of best Disney rides around the world. )

The Food is Not Magical

This one surprised me, as French food usually equates to great food. Disney food ( if you know where to look) is also great . Therefore, I thought Disneyland Paris food would be great. Not so much. The snacks and meals we tried over four days ranged from "meh" to downright inedible, and they were expensive both for Paris and for a theme park.

The theme at most Disneyland Paris restaurants is "American." However, their interpretation of American is school cafeteria-level hamburgers, soggy fries and ketchup-tinged barbecue. It was sad to see the USA's varied cuisine showcased in such a sorry state. We only found one outlet in each park worth visiting again.

In Parc Disneyland I'd suggest (using the term loosely) Au Chalet de la Marionnette, a Pinocchio-themed quick service outlet. For 20 euros ($22) my daughter and I shared a fatty ham hock (pork knuckle), three mozzarella sticks, a fruit cup, a green salad and a bottle of water. The standouts were the fresh fruits and veggies.

In Walt Disney Studios, I'd head for the red food carts near the "Ratatouille" ride. There, we found a selection of basic, but reasonably tasty, French fast food: crepes, cheeses, soups, etc. At 7 euros ($10) my buckwheat crepe with ham, Brie, honey, arugula and walnuts wasn't a bargain, but it didn't feel like a rip-off, either.

"Rip-off" is the word that comes to mind when I review our experience at Bistrot Chez Rémy, the signature restaurant in Walt Disney Studios. While the theming — giant everything as if you're shrunk to rat size — is adorable, the only options are a set menu starting at 33 euros ($40) for adults and 19 euros ($21) for kids ages 3 to 11. While my daughter did enjoy her cod fillet and mashed potatoes, most of my tough and stringy skirt steak was left on the plate. With wine, our check was over 70 euros ($80), which cost more than every meal that we actually enjoyed in downtown Paris .

Disney lovers are passionate about their Disney treats, be they churros or Dole Whip . Everywhere you look, there's an adorable Mickey-adorned snack at the USA parks. However, at Disneyland Paris we had to look far and wide to find anything that wasn't packaged and shipped from Florida. We finally found a stale Mickey-shaped meringue, half of which ended up in the trash can. There were adorable Yoda pistachio cookies at Walt Disney Studios, but they were there only for the park's "Legends of the Force" festival.

Finding Star Wars

In Disneyland Paris, the Force is split between the two parks, unlike other Disney Parks where Star Wars attractions are centralized. Parc Disneyland holds the Star Tours attraction and a character meet and greet, while Walt Disney Studios hosts both the live action shows and the evening "Galactic Spectacular." In other words, if you have a Star Wars fan in your midst, you can get away with only visiting Parc Disneyland without them feeling deprived.

I almost forgot to mention the best part: Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. Let me rephrase for emphasis: upside-down Star Wars Space Mountain. One-of-a-kind in the world, the Parc Disneyland version of Disney's iconic roller coaster shoots you straight into a battle where you corkscrew-dodge TIE fighters and laser beams. It simply must be experienced to be believed. All other Space Mountains will seem vanilla to me from now on.

Offseason Means Offseason

Park hours are significantly shorter in winter, with most days running from 10am to 6:30pm. Even within those limited hours, a number of attractions close early. We tried to ride Tower of Terror at Walt Disney Studios at 5pm and were turned away. Adding to the negatives: refurbishments. During our visit, Phantom Manor and Crush's Coaster, two A-list attractions, were closed. Plan around a month or so in advance by checking the refurbishment calendar .

The upside, of course, is that on a snowy January day we could walk onto attractions including Big Thunder Mountain, which operates even in snow. I'm telling you now that riding Big Thunder Mountain in snow was on my bucket list and I didn't even know it until it happened.

Bottom Line

Even a casual Disney fan will enjoy Disneyland Paris, but you shouldn't expect an exact copy of any other Disney park. The rides are more thrilling, the castle is more colorful and the experience is all-around fantastic ... as long as you don't expect gourmet cuisine or adorably Instagrammable Disney treats.

Today’s post presents multiple ways to use points and miles for Disneyland Paris. First, let’s talk about an easy way to fly to France with miles. Flying Blue , the joint program of Air France and KLM, is a fan favorite for multiple reasons. First, you can transfer points from multiple programs to Flying Blue. Second, reasonable award fares exist. Third, kids fly with Air France for 25% off.

Award flights to Paris from the U.S. on Air France or KLM enjoy recently standardized pricing . Business-class flights start at 55,000 miles, while economy flights to and from Charles de Gaulle Airport start at only 20,000 miles plus between $100 and $170 in fees each way. If you can time this with a Flying Blue transfer bonus or a monthly Promo Reward , you'll come out even further ahead.

With numerous transfer options, you can effectively earn Flying Blue miles with cards like The Platinum Card ® from American Express , Chase Sapphire Reserve ® , and Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card . You'll also enjoy lounge access with each of these cards, which can make your family's time waiting for a flight much more enjoyable.

Another Way To Enter Paris on Points

For many travelers, Disneyland Paris is part of a larger European trip. If you'll be arriving in Paris from connecting cities like London, Brussels, or Amsterdam, consider taking the Eurostar train. You can take the train to either Gare de Norde station in central Paris or to Disneyland Paris.

Eurostar tickets start at ~$75. To cover the cost with rewards, pay with your Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Bank of America ® Premium Rewards ® credit card . That's because cards like these offer the ability to cover recent travel purchases with your rewards balance at a rate of 1¢ per mile.

If you're heading to Disneyland from Paris, a train ride takes about 45–60 minutes, depending on your point of origin. We recommend purchasing a ~$30 Navigo Pass, valid both for using the Paris metro and to the Disneyland Parks in Chessy. Navigo passes even work at Montmartre to ride the funicular up to Sacre Coeur. Purchase Navigo Passes at train stations or airports.

If Disneyland Paris is the very first stop on your European tour, you won’t want to use a Navigo Pass to get there. That would route you through central Paris and take far too long. Instead, the best option from CDG airport to Disneyland Paris is taking the TGV ( train à grande vitesse  or literally “high-speed train”) directly to the parks. It costs about $20 per person, takes 12 minutes, and you can purchase tickets when you land at CDG.

Now that you know your options for getting there, let’s look at some of the parks' unique features as we determine the ideal length for a trip to Paris Disneyland.

The main reason to visit Disneyland Paris is to explore its unique, breathtaking Sleeping Beauty castle. It’s our favorite Disneyland castle in the world ( we’ve used points and miles to visit all twelve Disney parks ). Designers really captured a romantic mood, with uniquely rounded tower spires and a lawn full of square boxwoods flanking the side. Not only that, an animatronic dragon roars underneath. Guests can venture inside the soaring castle interiors, climb the stairs, and walk through Sleeping Beauty artwork. As an added bonus, the castle tour exits through the back onto a turret platform with sweeping views of Fantasyland  the other highlight of Disneyland Paris.

Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris is also gorgeous and unique compared to other parks. While it features many of the same rides found in the U.S. parks, it also boasts numerous unique attractions, which we’ll cover in the next section.

You’ll find some very familiar rides at Disneyland Paris: Dumbo’s Flying Elephants, Pirates of the Caribbean, and — at Walt Disney Studios — Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. But some of the repeat rides are actually better in France, including Star Wars HyperSpace Mountain (it goes upside-down) and an amazing rendition of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (bigger and faster than the U.S. versions).

Additionally, we recommend riding a couple unique attractions you can’t ride anywhere else in the world. Number one: Crush’s Coaster at Walt Disney Studios. You’ll recognize this ride’s track: Disney duplicated it for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. Number two: the Alice's Curious Labyrinth hedge maze in Fantasyland, complete with a Queen of Hearts’ Castle in the center. Number three: Avengers Assemble (same track as Walt Disney World's Rock N Roller Coaster, but smoother).

All in all, if you're mostly interested in the castle and all the rides unique to these parks, you really only need to purchase a one-day park hopper ticket.

Tickets to Disneyland Paris

Maybe you’re a seasoned Disney fan who wants to buy park hoppers and speed-run a day trip to the Paris Disneyland parks. On the other hand, if you’ve never been to Disneyland before, it might seem more appealing to purchase multi-day tickets and stay overnight in Chessy. Whatever the case may be, there’s a ticket for you and multiple ways to cover tickets with points. Keep in mind that you might qualify for one of Disneyland Paris’ special discounts.

Disneyland Paris sells two basic types of tickets: dated tickets good for specific dates and undated tickets good for redemption until the end of the year in which you purchase them. If you purchase undated tickets, don't forget to make reservations for the days you intend to use them.

Keep in mind that if you purchase tickets directly through Disneyland Paris, and not as a package including a resort stay, they will code as “entertainment” on your credit card. If you’d like to save a few dollars and also ensure that your tickets code as “travel” on your credit card, we recommend purchasing tickets through a third party like Attractiontickets.com . As you can see, in this scenario you'll save almost $6 per ticket.

If you’re trying to earn as many points as possible booking vacations, multiple credit cards earn more points per dollar on “travel” purchases than “entertainment” purchases. In addition, if you’re trying to use points and miles to cover the cost of Disneyland Paris admission, purchasing the tickets third party (thus, having them code as travel on your credit card) lets you offset the purchase with miles from the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or points from the Bank of America ® Premium Rewards ® Elite Credit Card .

Booking Disneyland Paris admission in the Bilt and Citi Travel ℠ portals

The Bilt Mastercard ® is the only no-annual-fee credit card that allows you to charge your monthly rent on a credit card without any fees tacked on (note that you need to make five or more transactions per month on the card to earn rewards at the optimal rates). Citi offers multiple credit cards with access to the Citi Travel portal , several of which have no annual fee.

You can find Disneyland Paris tickets for sale in both of these portals — typically for the same discounted rate as the third party vendor we checked.

If you have the Bilt Mastercard, your points are worth 25% more in Bilt's portal (thus 1.25¢ apiece). Therefore, a $112.71 ticket would cost only 9,017 Bilt points. In Citi's portal, however, your points are worth just 1¢ each.

Disneyland Paris offers several unique, generous discounts at the gate. Make sure to bring your passports to the gate if you’ll be attempting to purchase tickets for special rates, such as for those with disabilities.

Disneyland Paris Priority Cards and disability discounts

Disneyland Paris offers a 25% disability discount for one person plus an accompanying guest on a 1-day/1-or-2-Park Ticket or an annual Disneyland Pass. In advance, apply for a Priority Card up to one month before your visit and present an official document accepted by Disneyland Paris stating the disability on the day of the visit. Keep in mind that these tickets can only be purchased at the gate.

Disneyland Paris military discounts

A government-issued military card from the U.K., the U.S., or France qualifies you for 50% off your Disneyland Paris admission. Luckily, Disneyland Paris sells these tickets online, so you can plan ahead.

Disneyland Paris Hotels

All things considered, we think one or two days in the Disneyland Paris parks will satisfy most people. Accordingly, the next section contains two parts: lodging for Disneyland Paris day trips and lodging for those wanting to stay in Chessy. We'll provide award redemption options for both.

Hyatt has multiple quality properties to choose from in Paris, and our favorite is the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. One benefit lies in the fact that many of the rooms have been updated. Additionally, the club lounge offers a full breakfast, plus a light lunch and dinner, all while enjoying spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower.

Hyatt Globalist status or using club upgrades will gain you access to the Regency Club. Alternatively, you can book certain rooms that specify club access in the title or description. For instance, this standard room with two twin beds on a high floor includes club access.

Or, for only 3,000 more points per night, you could book a Regency Suite that sleeps four and specifies club access in the room description.

The easiest way to earn Hyatt points is from daily spending and credit card sign-up bonuses on Hyatt's co-branded cards, like The World of Hyatt Credit Card , or transferring Ultimate Rewards points from cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred ® Card to Hyatt .

First, let's talk about Disneyland Paris Resorts.

The benefits of staying on property in a Disneyland Paris resort are twofold. Not only are the resorts within walking distance from the parks, but Disney resort guests receive 30 minutes of early entry into the parks.

We've stayed in a Disneyland Paris resort and felt the perks weren't worth the price. Sure, it was nice to stay steps away from the parks, but taking the train from hotels booked on points will drop you off right at Disney's main gates. Furthermore, while it's nice to get a head start in the parks before all the off-property guests arrive, we still found ourselves standing in long lines for the most popular rides. All in all, we don't think it's necessary to stay on property at Disneyland Paris.

If you do decide to book a Disneyland Paris Resort, however, you have options. You can redeem points in the travel portals from Bilt, Citi, and Chase Travel . The last option could provide the best value, as points can be worth up to 1.5¢ apiece in the portal if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve ® . However, Chase's portal tends to have the least availability from what we found.

Bilt's travel portal offers competitive pricing. Booking a Disneyland Paris Resort plus breakfast and two-day Park Hopper tickets for two in the Bilt portal costs less than booking the same package directly through Disneyland Paris.

What costs $454.71 in the Bilt Rewards portal costs $475.30 when purchased from Disneyland Paris.

A fairly new Holiday Inn Express can be found just a 10-minute drive or a short ride on the #34 bus from Disneyland Paris. Besides proximity, the other pro of this property is that, like all Holiday Inn Express locations, guests enjoy free breakfast. Dynamic pricing has rooms swinging between 16,000–80,000 IHG One Rewards points per night, and average around 30,000 points per night much of the year.

The con to this property? Award rooms here only sleep two people per night, so booking larger parties will require at least two rooms.

To book lodging near Disneyland Paris with Marriott points, try the Moxy Paris Val d'Europe.

Located one stop away on the RER from the parks, award rooms at the Moxy start at 30,000 Marriott points per night and assume double occupancy.

A Marriott booking might not be ideal here for a few reasons. Lately, Marriott welcome bonuses have come in the form of free night certificates worth up to 50,000 Marriott points per night. You could get more value out of those certificates at lots of other properties. Also, the best value from Marriott Bonvoy points comes when getting your fifth night free . You probably won't be staying here that long, though.

The best route might be to book a room here is probably using an annual Free Night Award from holding a Marriott Bonvoy Boundless ® Credit Card or Marriott Bonvoy Business ® American Express ® Card . Each card provides a free night (worth up to 35,000 points) on your cardholder anniversary every year.

Another option that sleeps large parties in townhouses is Marriott's Village d'ile-de-France. While this property more easily accommodates families, finding availability can be nearly impossible. As of the time of writing, there is no availability showing for the next year. Nevertheless, if you're able to find availability, it's a little further away from the parks but presents a great option for families.

Points, miles, and other discounts can save you a bundle on your trip to Disneyland Paris. Whether you're stopping by on a day trip or spending multiple days adventuring in the parks, you're sure to enjoy the enchantment of the most romantic Disney park on Earth. Luckily, your visit doesn't have to involve spending a lot of money.

Disneyland Paris parks are an exciting place, with quite a few hotel options, two parks, and more opportunity than you can fit into one visit. This guide covers what you need to know before heading to Disneyland Paris.

We have been fortunate to live a few hours drive from Disneyland Paris parks for a few years and have visited on four separate occasions.

Here, you will find the most up-to-date information and advice, following our most recent Christmas trip to Disneyland Paris during the 25th Anniversary.

As one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, this guide has the hardcore Disney Fans who travel internationally solely for Disneyland Paris in mind as well as for those who are planning a trip to Europe and would like to make it a stop on their tour so to speak. Our goal is to cover everything from dining, to hotels, and all the little in-betweens.

For those traveling a good distance to visit Disneyland Paris, often the biggest question is “When is the best time of year to visit Disneyland Paris?”

Disneyland Paris has seen a big change in customer service delivery in the last few years in part due to the successful Disney buy-out of Euro Disney SCA in 2017. This resulted in Disney assuming full ownership of what had become its most disappointing multi-gate theme park resort.

With the removal of outside investors, Disney is now free to do what they want to boost the park, and with the engagement of Disneyland Paris management, can spend as they see fit. Between our first DLP trip in the summer of 2014 and our Christmas trip in 2017, the atmosphere has changed very quickly and dramatically.

In 2014, on our first visit, we found that the look, feel, and cleanliness was significantly different from Walt Disney World. We chalked it up to “We are in Europe, customer service delivery is just different here”, but to be honest, there seemed to be a bit of a depressing feeling to the Park. Branding in any business is very important, and maintaining a certain uniform standard is generally expected.

Fast Forward to Christmas 2017 with the Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary celebrations in full swing and the Park has come through a very successful renovation. Furthermore, the park has really stepped up the performances and customer service is more in line with that Disney branded look and feel you see in Florida. Also, the park is spotless and has gained a shimmering beauty.

On the bright side, Disneyland Paris is has grown in leaps and bounds and is still aiming to bring DLP fully in line with its American counterparts with the conclusion of “Project Sparkle”. Some have complained of the lack of announcements for DLP at d23 2017, but as I see it Disney is still integrating DLPs management core into the corporate structure. We hope to see big announcements at D23 2019 for DLP.

Disneyland Paris is the all-encompassing name for the entire resort which consists of the Disney Village shopping and entertainment district, 7 official Disney-themed hotels, several partner hotels (ie. Explorers Hotel), and of course the two parks: Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park .

Disneyland Paris is smaller than Walt Disney World and there isn’t as much to do there. For us to travel to Europe from North America just for Disneyland Paris is just not feasible, we feel that combining it with a bigger plan will just increase the magic of the trip. That said DLP is a park that Disney fans could spend days exploring.

Why make the trip to Disneyland Paris if you are in the United States? For Disney fans, this is a non-issue. It is definitely a place to visit for a few days; there is a stunning beauty that is unique to this park. Also, if the opportunity arises a few days in DLP is a great addition to a European Holiday trip. Well, we have visited Walt Disney World on multiple occasions we have yet to visit Disneyland Resort in California.

Should You Visit Disneyland Paris?

Yes, it is a great time to visit Disneyland Paris and has many celebrations and lots of special entertainment lined up with daytime parades, as well as nighttime fireworks spectaculars. With a plethora of stage shows, rejuvenated attractions, and so much more.

We travelled to DLP in late 2017 which gave us the opportunity to see the 25th Anniversary celebrations with the bonus of Christmas and Halloween back-to-back.

The next big thing at DLP may not arrive til beyond 2020. With DLP in long-term planning mode nothing new and substantial is on the horizon. The park is fresh and new again, with long-term plans that involve Marvel. There has been some speculation of a reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park at some point, we await further announcements from Disney.

With all the recent Disney-Fox merge the future is bright for all the Disney parks. This summer has the arrival of Marvel Super Heroes Summer at DLP from 10 June until 30 September 2018. Not sure I would jump on an overseas flight for that. In our view, a 2018 Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary, Halloween, Christmas combo would be a better plan for an overseas hop.

With the resorts 25th anniversary tagline “It’s time to Sparkle” DLP has certainly come a long way since our first visit in 2014 specifically in the maintenance and upkeep department.

How Many Days?

The short answer: As many as you can!

Whether you fly into Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris or take the Eurostar from London’s Heathrow airport, there is so much to see and do in and around Disneyland Paris. We recommend 3 Days at DLP for Disney fans and for the non-Disney fans, one day will allow you to enjoy Parc Disneyland to its fullest. How much time you spend is a personal question as there are many bucket list places you will want to visit throughout the Paris region such as the Eiffel Tower, and Versaille with its spectacular gardens.

Disney fans will want to explore the Disney Village and the hotels. Disney Village is a weak version of Disney Springs in Walt Disney World and is geared more towards the restaurant fare such as The Rainforest Cafe, and the live-action Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show…with Mickey & Friends! dining show.

La Place de Rémy mini-land is a must-see “Paris street” based on the Disney film Ratatouille. This area has a very popular attraction the trackless dark ride Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy that will require a time commitment for the Disney fan, FASTPASS is your friend here and they go quickly. It also has a great gift shop and restaurant called Bistrot Chez Rémy. The most striking part from a rather nerdy perspective is when you cross into this land at a certain point upon entering the land you are surrounded by beautiful music and ambiance, you no longer hear the screams from Toy Soldier Parachute Drop or RC Racer which are only a few meters beyond this mini-land.

Holiday Packages

Planning a Disneyland Paris Holiday is pretty easy compared to Walt Disney World, DLP just isn’t very big compared to the other Disney Parks.

If you have determined how many days to visit DLP great, now you need to decide whether a holiday package is for you. Like the other Disney Parks, DLP offers holiday packages with hotel, park tickets, and meal plans bundled together. These bundles are where you will find the best discounts.

Other options include a few legitimate websites that offer real Disney tickets at discounted prices. Not only can you find discounted ticket prices for various Disney theme parks (for single and multiple days), but you can also find other deals & promotions.

Additional Purchases

There are additional purchases, after hotel reservations and entrance tickets, that need to be considered when planning a trip to Disney Land Paris. Disney Meal Plans will be discussed further down in this guide, but there is also Photopass + purchases and now additional Fast Passes are available.

The Photopass+ option allows guest to collect their on-ride and character meet and greet photos on one digital Photopass ticket. At the end of the vacation, guests are able to purchase the Photopass+ digital package (if they didn’t purchase it during the planning stages) or simply having the photos printed at Disneyland Paris. Which offer you choose depends on how many photos you want, how you want to store them and if you collect the souvenir picture frames.

The recent addition of purchased, and tiered, fastpasses at Disneyland Paris has caused quite a stir lately. While Onsite guests get the added benefit of Unlimited fast passes at a reduced price, as do Annual Passholders, this is another way that guests on a time crunch can maximize their limited time at Disneyland Paris, for a fee.

Getting There

We have been fortunate to have spent several years working in Europe and have driven a few hours to Disneyland Paris. Realistically most of our readers will be flying or sailing! to Europe. That said your best bet for driving to Disneyland Paris we advise Google Maps and a trusty GPS / SatNav.

There are so many ways to travel to Europe. Visiting DLP as part of a bigger adventure is the best and most cost-effective way. That said there are so many options for the budget-conscious or going all out. Picture this traveling from the United States via Cunard’s Queen Mary II Transatlantic Ocean liner, transferring to the Eurostar train out of St. Pancras Station in London direct to Disneyland Paris then use the Disney Express Hotel Check-In Luggage Service.

There are also trains hourly our shorter from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris. Some are direct and some take you to downtown Paris where you will have to transfer to another train to get out to DLP.

Where to Stay

• The second most frequent question we are asked is, where to stay at Disneyland Paris?
• Do we want on-site or off-site?
• Is the price really worth all that extra money?

The short answer Yes .

The long answer Yes .

For some, particularly those traveling from overseas DLP is considered a one time visit for the typical traveler, and more of a tactical matter for Disney Fans. “How can I work DLP into all my trips to Europe?” To the typical traveler, we say – with all the different experiences available at DLP and the 7 Disney-themed hotels each one is designed for a different experience – so if your budget permits multiple trips will offer more exciting discoveries.

From 10 meters to the Gates of the Magic Kingdom or a 15-minute walk, unique breakfast experiences, and unique themed rooms, there is a little something for everyone’s budget and level of fandom.

Ultra-budget hotel Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch is roughly 20 minutes drive and does not offer a shuttle service, for those really wanting to stretch their Disney dollars. The further away from the park, a hotel is located, the less expensive it becomes, but all feature fewer amenities.

You will find varies service levels within the hotel itself, that offer perks and exclusives, such as included breakfast. Take all of these into consideration and be well informed when you talk to the booking agent about your hotel requirements.

There are also 8 Disneyland Paris Partner Hotels; Vienna House Dream Castle Hotel, Vienna House Magic Circus Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel, Algonquin’s Explorers Hotel, Kyriad Hotel, Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe, Adagio Marne-la-Vallée Val d’Europe, and B&B Hotel.

Each one offers free access to the Disneyland Paris shuttle service. Most, if not all, have breakfast included options when booking directly with them or with Booking.com.

Guests of Disneyland Paris Partner Hotels do not have access to Early Magic Hours, but most of that time will be used having breakfast and not waking up at the crack of dawn, so is this really a loss?

There also isn’t a way to purchase the Disney Dining Plan without having a Disney hotel reservation, so all meals will need to be purchased out of pocket.

Be sure to check the value of your hotel choice, a prospective Dining Plan option and dining reservations (with menu PDF on hand) when making any final commitments. The right choice will appear in math.

OFF-SITE ACCOMMODATION

There are many Off-site hotel options, below we will add great reviews from the various nearby hotels.

OFF-SITE VS. ON-SITE?

Our Disney plans often centre around a Disney on-site hotel and it isn’t just about the room. Of the Disney hotels, we’ve stayed in at Disneyland Paris they are much nicer overall than the off-site hotels. If you find yourself needing that extra space and cash Val d’Europe hotels may be worth the short commute.

There are a lot of reasons to side with one or another… there has to be, or the option wouldn’t exist. Those strapped into a budget, to maximize Disney-spending, or plan on staying a little longer, off-site is the way to go.

Some would say a hotel is just a place to lay your head, we enjoy the different themed experiences. For those travellers wishing to fully-immerse themselves in the Disney experience, and want to spend maximum hours in the parks, or require frequent access to the hotel, then maybe on-site is for you.

And for the perks which are substantial. Big picture the best ones are walking distance to the parks, Extra Magic hours, as well as Disney meal options such as the Full or Half Board Meal Plans, and our favourite item exclusive character meets. We try to make rope drop for Peter Pans Flight or Ratatouille and get that much prized empty Main Street photo.

For our personal picks, we enjoy Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe (value), Disney’s Newport Bay Club (moderate), or Disneyland Hotel (deluxe). Hotel Santa Fe with its grand Disney-Pixar Cars renovation has a desert-like environment fun for both boys and girls. Newport Bay Club has seen some major renovation as well, being completed from 2013 through 2016. Its theming took me back to our cruise on the Disney Wonder in 2010.

Disney’s Hotel New York is terrible. Its general rundown appearance is not befitting a Disney Hotel. It’s in such disrepair this hotel will be closing for 15 months in 2018, with a conversion to Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. This was announced at the 2017 edition of D23. This is one to avoid for now.

Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne got a makeover this was scheduled for completion at the end of 2017. The rooms have had Toy Story character theming added to them. The awful bunkbeds are gone now as well, replaced with trundle beds.

Disney’s Sequoia Lodge with the lovely Hunter’s Grill and Beaver Creek Tavern and its tree felled surroundings give you that mountain retreat feeling. We love the Bambi and friends theming. The trees are even imported from the West Coast of the United States and Canada.

Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch is not really our jam but for completeness of this guide, it is a campground outside of the Disneyland Paris’s main resort perimeter. It sits just 15 minutes drive from the theme parks. And gives access to early magic hours. It is the farthest Disney hotel from the parks. We are more Disney bubble type travellers. And the major downside for us is no shuttle service.

Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe received a grand renovation a few years ago with the adding of Disney-Pixar Cars theming throughout. Specific theming includes Luigi, Mater, McQueen, and Sally. Like all the Disney hotels in Disneyland Paris, this hotel has seen rapid improvement in just a few years.

Finally, Disneyland Hotel is magical and its location is basically touching the Magic Kingdom. Our hotel room was 250 meters from the park entrance. During our stay, we noticed some areas could certainly use a sprucing up. For us staying at the Disneyland Hotel was a bit of an “emergency” everything else was booked. This hotel we would only recommend to those where money is no issue. For the majority, Disney’s Newport Bay Club is best (our top pick for value & quality) or Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe.

Are you looking at booking a Disneyland Paris holiday package, we will go through the various meal plans the on-site hotels offer. There are several dining options available at Disneyland Paris. Counter service, table service, character dining, buffet, and Dining show.

Each of these options has their own price point, theme, reservation policy and target audience in mind. Here, we will review the options and help you pick the right dining choices for your next Disneyland Paris vacation.

Counter S ervice

Akin to fast food, is just what it sounds like. Long lines, select menu options and high turn around. This is a great option when guests want to stick to a budget and a timetable. When touring hours are short and the family isn’t interested in sitting for 2+ hours in a restaurant, counter service is for you.

Click here to check out the counter-service restaurant options. Click the names and you will find a view menu option. Here you will find that most menus start at 10euro. There is a children’s menu but we have found the kids prefer to have slightly larger meals, or just aren’t interested in chicken burgers with a side salad (I don’t blame them). Finding a table, and enough chairs, to fit your whole family can be a little bit of a waiting game.

Pushchairs are also not allowed in the restaurant itself unless the child is sleeping. There is seating outside, so don’t be distraught if they still refuse to allow a sleeping baby into the restaurant; the hall is can be very crowded and space is at a premium. Also, Walt Disney Studio Counter Service restaurants have larger interiors than Disneyland Park. There are a number of counter service restaurants in Disney Village, like Earl Of Sandwich, McDonalds and Star Bucks.

Table S ervice

Restaurants are just another fancy name for sitting down and enjoying your meal . There are 18 table service restaurants between the two parks and Disney Village, click here to view their locations, menus and price points.

Each restaurant offers a different theme; from Traditional French Dining at Bistrot Chez Remy, to an American diner-style menu at Café des Cascadeurs (we’ve been here with the kids. It was amazing.) Reservations are usually required to get a table, but they will allow walk-ins from time to time. If you can’t decide beforehand, try checking in during the early morning and ask for any available time slot in the evening; there are always last-minute cancellations.

Character Dining

There are 3 character dining options at Disneyland Paris ; Inventions at the Disneyland Paris Hotel, Auberge de Cendrillon and Plazza Gardens in Disneyland Park. You must get a reservation and most tend to fill up shortly after the 60-day reservation mark. They are very popular and equally as expensive. At Inventions , the characters can range from secondary characters like Cinderella’s mice, and the Cat from Pinocchio, primary characters like Mickey, Pluto and friends, and as well as more obscure characters that the everyday Disney fan may not be aware of. They are not able to confirm which characters will be at which sitting so it really is a gamble, but the buffet is incredible. Auberge de Cendrillon is a princess dining experience.

During the 2 hour meal, which I would describe as fine dining, a number of princesses (and a few of her companions) will visit each table to take pictures and sign autographs.

There is a Princess dance in the middle of the hall at various times of the day, it is really hard to pinpoint the optimum time of day to visit. We like this restaurant because we can meet more princesses in the same amount of time that we would have waited in line at the Princess Pavillion, and we had a great meal in the process.

Don’t worry, the kid’s menu does sounds “fancy” but there are enough options that even the pickiest eater should be able to find something they like. To be sure, check the menu out before making reservations. Lastly, Plaza Gardens recently replaced Cafe Mickey’s as the Character breakfast restaurant. There are rumours that they will be moving back shortly but until the move is actually confirmed, we will continue to refer to Plaza Gardens.

This is where you will find Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and all the other primary characters you came to Disneyland Paris to meet. They also rotate which characters are available each day (in case you wanted to each here every morning, because the food really was that great), Winnie the Pooh and friends have been known to make an appearance, same with Scrooge McDuck.

Buffet Style Character Dining

There are 11 buffet options throughout the parks, two of whom are also Character Dining. From here, you only pay a flat fee based on age and the under-3’s eat free. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter if someone isn’t all that hungry or is a picky eater.

At buffet restaurants, they assume all sitting guests are eating guests. Again, their style of food is considered to be International and should have at least a little something for kids to munch on.

Lastly, Disneyland Paris offers one Dining show Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show…with Mickey & Friends! During the course of 1.5 hours, you will be fed and entertained. Hosted by the legendary Buffalo Bill, famous faces, such as Chief Sitting Bull, Annie Oakley, and the Rough Riders, re-enact fabled moments from the frontier through shootouts and stunts.

Plus there are special appearances by Mickey and friends. Ticket sell fairly quickly and therefore we strongly recommend purchasing once your dates have been decided. Children under 3 do not require a ticket, but they also will not receive a seat of their own. We tried this option once with our 2 years old and it was not optimal.

The next time we attended the show, we purchased a seat for our then 18month old and we do not regret it. There are no meal options; standard chicken and ribs with potatoes and chilli. There is a vegetarian option, which needs to be mentioned in advance, and the children have a slight variation of the same thing. They are also given ice lollies (popsicles) instead of warm apple pie.

Breakfast Options

Having listed all the lunch and dinner options, let’s turn out attention to the most important meal of the day; breakfast. We have already mentioned Plaza Gardens as an option but what about the others. There is a buffet option available in the hotels; Disney-themed hotels no longer have breakfast included in their packages, and some off-site hotels may require an additional fee.

There is the option of paying out of pocket or using the Disney Dining Plan to make this purchase a little easier to bare (only available for on-site guests). From here, the most popular options are Cafe Hyperion in Disneyland Park and Restaurant en Coulisse in Walt Disney Studios.

These two options have been known to get fairly busy, fairly quickly, and stay that way. Eating here, however, requires guests to wait until the parks open for EMH (not an optimum option for off-site guests that don’t have access to Early Magic Hours).

We, therefore, suggest at least purchasing the half board dining plan, which includes breakfast in the hotel and one quick service meal per day, per ticketed guest (with the cost of the plan often being less than the out of the pocket price for the hotel breakfast on its own). For off-site guests, we suggest purchasing the hotel breakfast as well and arriving shortly after the doors open. Maximizing your breakfast time and arriving at the park gates for rope drop.

WHAT TO PACK

To give you a baseline, our How to Pack the Perfect Disney Park Bag Ever! will prepare you for any of the Disney Parks. For Paris and Europe, in general, you may need a voltage converter, and you will definitely need a travel adapter. There are many ways to charge your devices; we recommend the BESTEK Universal Travel Adapter. It is a combination voltage converter, USB charger, and travel tip adapter, all in one. This unit is amazing and they are very pack friendly.

If you haven’t heard of packing cubes it’s time to start we strongly recommend them. Instead of throwing everything into the suitcase, and rummaging through it at the hotel, looking for the specific top or lost pair of socks, packing cubes are the perfect way to organize your luggage and find everything quickly.

How you choose to organize your luggage is a personal choice, we have found color coding for family members has great advantages; green for dad, red for mum, purple for sister, and brother likes blue. This takes the chore out of unpacking.

Mum would prefer to have her shirts in one cube and trousers/pants in another, and the kids have there very own cubes. Best of all the children won’t be able to make a mess of all the folding. For the carry-on traveler , compression bags might be the way to go, great for train travel in Europe and for small luggage, remember if you bring a lot of clothes and compress them it’s still gonna be heavy.

Packing for Disneyland Paris in winter can be a challenge, Paris has legit winters (it even snows). For periods from October to March there are definitely minus temperatures so pack for cooler weather. Have a look at our Disney Winter Guide you will definitely want warm clothes for several days.

Your Disneyland Paris adventure will include lots of walking, and trains, excess luggage could still the magic so go light. You don’t need that cocktail dress when you can’t find a sitter for the children, and you most definitely don’t need to pack their entire toy room just to keep them entertained in the queues. We believe in “a pair and a spare”. Have your designated Disney touring footwear , and a spare in case they get wet, broken or lost (it happens to the best of us).

Visiting for 5 days, have 6 pairs of everything – not 20. Pack outfits, not options, and if you are staying on vacation after Disneyland Paris, find a laundromat and wash those 6 pairs, no need to pack more.

Hotels offer complimentary shampoos and soaps, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom and the kids don’t need excessive amounts of distractions; “count the tiles on the ground as we walk closer to the entrance” is a very real game and has been played numerous times (in a single day).

Rick Steves recommends a lot of space-saving tips and tricks for travelers, though some suggestions are more space-saving than money saving. For example, Mr. Steves would say to purchase most of your consumables at the destination if you plan on using them up before heading back.

This is great because you don’t need to worry about luggage allowance for a pack of diapers, or could have put something more important in your suitcase than a week’s worth of snacks. There are grocery stores in France that you can simply purchase these items from once you have arrived. Why is this less budget-friendly?

Many of these tourist destinations hike their prices because they know tourists will need the luggage space of other items, or they have unexpectedly run out of their consumables early. While the prices may be higher than you are used to, think of the luggage allowance money saved and the time/effort saved not having to visit the luggage carousel. You would be surprised which option leaves you with more money in your pocket.

There is something to be said for minimalism once in a while. There is a great selection of Disney suitcases and carry-on bags online, to bring empty, that will be cheaper than being stuck buying an overpriced extra carry-on while on holiday. Consider these things when making your airline purchase, luggage overage fees are often higher than the fees for mailing your souvenirs through in the post.

How To Do Disneyland Paris In Just 1 Day

Disneyland paris travel guide: a perfect 1 day itinerary.

If you've clicked on this post, you're likely wondering if Disneyland Paris can be done in a day and whether it's worth the trip. The short answer to both of these questions is YES! Whilst we would recommend a 2 or 3 day trip, it's not always possible. But with a bit of planning you CAN see the best of Disneyland Paris in just 1 day and it will be 100% worth the effort. Today we're sharing our ultimate 1 day itinerary in the parks and some of our top tips to help you make the most of your trip.

01. Arrive As Early As Possible

If you want to make the most of your day at Disneyland Paris, arriving as early as possible is essential. Where you are staying will determine how early you can enter the parks.

A Disney Hotel: If you're staying onsite in a Disney hotel (or have an annual pass ) you will have early access to the parks, known as Extra Magic Time (EMT). The parks open early each morning to Disney Hotel guests, allowing them extra time (usually a whole hour) to enjoy the parks before other guests are admitted. If you have EMT, we highly recommend making the most of this perk and take advantage of the shorter queue times. We suggest arriving at the park about 15 minutes before Extra Magic Time begins to be one of the first in the queue. All you need to do is show your Magic Card at the park gate.

A Non-Disney Hotel: If you're not staying in a Disney Hotel, you may still be able to get into the parks early. How? Our top tip is to arrive 30 minutes before the official park opening time . It's not always guaranteed, but sometimes the cast members begin letting guests into the parks 30 minutes early. If this doesn't happen on your trip, by arriving early you'll still be one of the first Non-Disney Hotel guests into the park.

02. Start Your Day In Walt Disney Studios Park

As much as you'll want to start your day gazing upon the beautiful Sleeping Beauty castle, we recommend you make the most of the morning's shorter queue times and start the day in Walt Disney Studios Park.

What should you do in this park?

Whilst Walt Disney Studios Park is much smaller and (let's be honest) just not as good as the beautiful Disneyland Park, it has 3 of our "must ride" attractions and our favourite show. When you enter the park, you want to follow the crowd and ride Crush's Coaster first . Usually, we don't like to follow the crowd, but wait times for this attraction are consistently high (about 1 hour long) so we recommend heading there first. After being spun around on Crush's Coaster head straight to the back of the park to ride Ratatouille: The Adventure, a fun, immersive 4D attraction. Then, if you're feeling brave enough, make your way across the park and enjoy the drops on The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror.

Once you've had your fill of rides in this park, we highly recommend heading to Animagique Theatre to the watch Mickey & The Magician which returns April 23rd 2022. This award winning stage show has become a must do on our trips to Disneyland Paris and is easily the best show we've seen in either of the 2 parks. If you haven't seen this production yet we would highly recommend taking the weight off your feet for half an hour and enjoy a bit of Disney magic. Make sure to arrive early as the show is popular and the theatre can fill up quickly.

What can you skip in this park?

Most of the other attractions in Walt Disney Studios Park are aimed at smaller children, so we would suggest passing up on these rides if you're visiting with just adults or older children. RC Racer and Toy Soldier's Parachute Drop are fun attractions for older children and adults, but if the queues are longer than 20 minutes, we would say skip these attractions.

We always enjoy meeting different characters, but with just 1 day to enjoy the parks, we would skip the meet & greets as the queues can be very long for most characters.

Unless you are a massive Frozen fan, we would also suggest missing Frozen: A Musical Invitation . Whilst we enjoyed this show on our January 2020 trip (the Sven puppet is very impressive) it is aimed at younger children and the queue times are far too long for the casual Frozen fan.

03. Time For A Quick Lunch

After a morning in Walt Disney Studios Park, we suggest heading out of the park for some lunch. As time is precious, we don't recommend a table service meal for lunch as the service across the parks tends to be a little slow. The quick service options inside Walt Disney Studios Park aren't the best (although we're looking forward to trying the new food offerings in Avengers Campus when it opens Summer 2022) so we suggest heading out of the park for lunch.

Our favourite lunch spot in Disneyland Paris is Earl of Sandwich , located at the far end of Disney Village. The service here is usually pretty quick, the queues are low, the prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are delicious. Some of our other favourite lunch spots include: Five Guys, also in the Disney Village, Café Hyperion in Discovery Land, Hakuna Matata in Adventureland and Casey's Corner located on Mainstreet USA. Alternatively, skip all the lunch time queues and bring sandwiches with you .

04. Spend The Afternoon At Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park is a beautifully designed park. The Imagineers clearly spent a lot of time making this park feel special, so soak in the atmosphere as you walk down Mainstreet USA, especially if this is your first visit. Listen to the music, admire the design of the buildings, peer into the magical window displays and take in the sight of the beautiful Sleeping Beauty castle at the end of the "street". After taking plenty of pictures of this part of the park, head to left of the castle and visit the dragon that lives beneath the castle (look for the small sign "La Tanière du Dragon) Did you know you can walk to the top of the castle ? Follow the staircase up and see the story of Sleeping Beauty told through detailed stained glass windows and gorgeous tapestries.

After admiring this beautiful park icon, head to Frontierland to take a trip on "the wildest ride in the wilderness", Big Thunder Mountain and unearth the mystery that haunts Phantom Manor before heading back across the park to Discoveryland.

Begin your time in Discoveryland by journeying to a galaxy far far away, with Star Tours: The Adventures Continue , before challenging your friends and family to a ride on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast . Thrill seekers shouldn't miss the best rollercoaster at Disneyland Paris, Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain .

If your day has run smoothly and you have managed to experience everything on the list up to now, you might be lucky enough to have some time spare before the park closes. Here's some suggestions on what to do next:

• Scout out a good spot for Disney Stars on Parade

• Watch Mickey's PhilharMagic 4D show

• Enjoy a relaxing ride around the park on the Disneyland Railroad

• Ride some of the classic family attractions such as Pirates of The Caribbean , Peter Pan's Flight , Dumbo the Flying Elephant , It's A Small World or Mad Hatter's Teacups .

Unless you have small children with you, or you are a big kid at heart, we would suggest skipping other rides with queue times over 10 minutes. There's nothing wrong with these other rides, but with just 1 day in the parks, the other rides listed above should take priority. This also goes for Indiana Jones and The Temple of Peril . This rollercoaster is a little rickety, is tucked away at one end of the park and isn't worth queuing for if the wait time is more than 10 minutes.

If you're not too big into characters, you can miss Disney Stars on Parade, and use this time to ride some of your favourite rides with shorter lines. We would also suggest you skip the meet & greets as the queues can be very long for most characters.

05. Watch The Fireworks

A day in Disneyland Paris isn't complete without watching Disney Illuminations , a spectacular firework show that takes place at park close, with water effects and projections on the Sleeping Beauty castle. If you're visiting in 2022, you'll want to find your spot on Mainstreet USA early to watch the special drone pre-show, Disney D-Light, part of the special 30th anniversary celebrations. During some special events, there have been fireworks and projection shows in Walt Disney Studios Park. But with only 1 night to enjoy a show, we would always recommend Disney Illuminations in Disneyland Park, especially for first time visitors.

Don't forget to say goodbye to Mickey, who waves to guests as they leave the park. Find him at the train station at the front of the park.

06. Explore The Shops

Now is the time to wander around the shops on Mainstreet USA and pick up a couple of souvenirs to remember your special day. Even though the rides and other lands are now closed, Mainstreet USA remains open to park guests until the last guest leaves. The shops will be busy, but doing your shopping after the park closes is a great time saver and if you're lucky, you'll be able to get some pictures of an empty Mainstreet USA when you're done.

07. Grab Some Dinner And Enjoy Your Evening At Disney Village

If you're visiting in the summer months when the parks are open until 11pm, you may want to grab some food before the fireworks. But if you're visiting when the parks close earlier, rather than missing out on valuable park hours, push your dinner until after the parks close. Disney Village is a great spot to grab some food, enjoy some shopping and maybe have a drink or 2 in a bar. Annette's Diner , Five Guys , McDonald's and Earl of Sandwich are all good options if you're after a casual dinner. Crowds can be big after the parks close, however, so be prepared to queue. Alternatively, book a table at one of the restaurants at the Art of Marvel Hotel or Sequoia Lodge . You can make dining reservations 2 months before your trip on the Disneyland Paris app and we recommend you do as tables book up quick.

Some Other Things To Keep In Mind:

• At the time of writing, you can no longer buy tickets at the gate. All tickets must be bought in advance and you must book a park reservation along with your ticket.

• There are also health and safety measures in place due to Covid-19. Make sure you're fully up to date with what you need to do to enter the parks by checking the official Disneyland Paris website . These extra health and safety measures at the gate may mean longer queues at the entrance of the parks, so try and account for these when making your plans.

• If you or a member of your group has a disability: "Guests with disabilities or a Long Term Chronic Disease can request a Priority Card or Easy Access Card for certain activities and services, depending on the official document provided by the Guest." more information can be found here

• If you have visited Disneyland Paris before the pandemic, you may have been familiar with the Single Rider service and hoped to use it on your upcoming trip. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, Disneyland Paris have temporarily suspended the Single Rider service. But things are always changing with Disneyland Paris and this service may be running again for your visit, so we recommend to keep updated on any changes by visiting the official Disneyland Paris website .

• If you're visiting on a busy day and want to ride popular attractions with smaller wait times, we suggest making use of Disney's Premier Access. This service, simply put, is a pay per ride system which allows guests to skip the a large portion of the queues at the most popular attractions. To find out how this service works and how much it costs, visit Disneyland Paris' official website here .

• If you can, avoid visiting on a weekend as the parks will be busier, meaning the queues will be longer. We have found Tuesday - Thursday to be the quietest days.

Of course, some of these plans may need adjusting depending on what time of year you're going, how many people you're with and any specific needs or preferences you have. How To Easily Get From Paris To Disneyland Paris

If your trip to Paris includes more than just Disneyland Paris then figuring out how to get from Paris to Disneyland Paris can be a bit of a worry. But that doesn’t need to be the case.

This handy guide will tell you everything you need to know about easily getting from Paris to Disneyland. It includes different routes, including the train, the bus and driving, as well as routes from the Paris airports.

How ever you intend to travel between Paris and Disneyland, it is important you feel comfortable doing so, so we have included helpful tips and tricks for navigating the different systems in Paris. For the more complicated systems (particularly the RER train) we have produced a step by step guide so you can move around almost as though you are a Parisian.

It is important to make the most out of your Disneyland Paris Itinerary and being stressed before you’ve even arrived at the parks is not ideal for anyone.

Where Is Disneyland Paris

Despite the name, Disneyland Paris is actually around 20 miles outside of Paris city centre. Paris is a busy and crowded city so it makes sense that the sprawling Disneyland Paris parks would need a bit more space. But Disney, and Paris, are aware that you might want to spend some time in Paris whilst you are visiting, so they have made it super easy to travel from Paris to Disneyland Paris.

How Long Does It Take To Get From Paris To Disneyland Paris?

This depends on where you are staying in Paris, but from the city centre it takes roughly 45 minutes using the RER train, 1 hour and 30 minutes getting the Disney shuttle bus and 40 minutes to drive. Taking the bus or driving yourself to the parks is dependent on traffic conditions so bear that in mind when you’re planning your journey, especially if you are travelling during rush hour (Monday- Friday, between 7:30-9:00am and 5:00-6:00pm).

If you are going straight to the parks from the airport, it takes around 1 hour by shuttle bus from either Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports. Alternatively, you can take the express train from Charles de Gaulle and be at Disneyland Paris in around 15 minutes, although there are some issues with using this method as we’ll explain.

Transportation Options For Getting From Paris To Disneyland Paris

Paris has a pretty comprehensive train and metro system that allows locals and tourists to travel conveniently to various destinations by public transport. The RER is slightly different from the Paris Metro as it links Paris with other destinations rather than inside Paris city centre.

The RER has lettered lines, rather than the numbered lines of the Metro, and these have a corresponding colour on the train map, which can be found in stations, on the trains and on various apps and websites as well as paper copies being available. To get from Paris to Disneyland Paris you need to take the RER A line, the red line, east ( ost ) to Marne-la-Vallee–Chessy. In most stations, although not all of them, the sign for this route will feature a prominent Mickey head so you know it’s heading to Disneyland.

The RER A splits into two paths so make sure you board the train going to Marne-la-Vallee. The platforms at the station will tell you the destination the next train is going to, and the train itself will display its final destination. Again, most of these signs will feature a Mickey head, but not all so pay attention to the trains destination before you board.

Using the system is very similar to any metro/train system that uses automated turnstiles, which means you need to have your ticket available at the start, and the end, of your journey. You will need to scan your ticket to exit the station at Disneyland, so make sure you don’t lose it on your journey and keep it somewhere easy to access so you can move through the station with ease.

Parisians use the metro a lot and there are a number of unwritten rules that they tend to abide by. These will likely be lesser on the RER A line as it is often filled with tourists heading to Disneyland Paris but it is good to be aware of them nonetheless. For one, it is considered rude to eat on the train so try not to plan on eating your breakfast on the train on the way there. It is also considered rude to talk on the phone or have loud conversations whilst you’re on the train, as well as to sit on the foldable chairs whilst other people are standing.

You will need to get to a station that is serviced by the RER A line but once you’re on it, it’s a straight shot to Disneyland and the station is right at the gates to the park so this is one of the simplest ways to get to the parks from Paris city centre.

How To Buy Train Tickets From Paris To Disneyland Paris

There are a number of ways to purchase train tickets to travel from Paris to Disneyland Paris. The system works on a zone system so the ticket price depends on your starting destination and your final destination. However, you buy your tickets you will need to specify where you are travelling to so that you can buy the right type of ticket.

The easiest way is probably to buy a ticket from an attendant at the station. There are automated machines in the stations to purchase tickets but they can be a little funny about taking card payments, especially if you have a card without a chip and pin option, and some machines can only take cash payments.

The attendants are able to take different payments much easier but there can be longer queues to purchase tickets this way.

A lot of locals who use the trains use a Navigo Pass which they can add season tickets to or top up with money so they don’t have to worry about buying tickets every day or for specific destinations. For tourists, or for people who use the metro infrequently, there is the Navigo Easy Pass which can be purchased for an additional 2€ and topped up whenever you need to.

This can be a more convenient way of having tickets if you’re making a number of trips as you don’t need to keep track of a bunch of paper tickets.

The Paris metro is attempting to become paperless so in 2019 they rolled out the ViaNavigo app which allows users to purchase tickets through the app and use their phones as their tickets.

This is a super convenient way to travel as the app can be used in a number of different languages however currently it is only available to Samsung users. The app is available on Apple devices but does not allow for ticket purchase within the app.

Paris does run public buses but if you are looking for a public transport option to get from Paris to Disneyland Paris then the RER is a lot cheaper and much simpler. Disneyland Paris do offer a shuttle bus service, however, that services the city centre.

It is called the Disneyland Paris Express and can be added on when you are purchasing park tickets. You cannot buy this service on its own, it can only be purchased with park tickets, so if you already have tickets then this is not the best option for you.

Disneyland Paris Express offers 2 shuttle services. One has pickups/drop-offs at Gare du Nord , Opéra and Châtelet and the other is from the Eiffel Tower area. Shuttle 1 has pickups at Gard du Nord at 8:20am, Opéra at 8:30am and Châtelet at 8:45am. Shuttle 2 picks up at the Eiffel Tower at 8:10am.

Both shuttles arrive at the parks by 10am but this is dependent on traffic so could be earlier. The shuttle then departs the park at either 8 or 9pm depending on the seasonal opening hours. It is advised that you arrive at the pickup points at least 15 minutes before the departure time to make sure everyone has enough time to get on board.

It is possible to drive from Paris to Disneyland Paris and Disneyland has a large area devoted to carparks but driving in Paris can be a bit of a pain. If your trip to France includes more than Paris then hiring a car can be a good way to save money. Some areas of France are quite remote and offer beautiful driving routes so having a car can be an advantage.

However Paris itself is not particularly car-friendly due to narrow streets, lots of roundabouts and angry Parisian drivers. If your only excursion outside of Paris is Disneyland then hiring a car may not be the best idea.

It’s a 40 minute drive from Paris to Disneyland Paris and involves driving for roughly 34 miles on the A4 motorway. The route features signs to Disneyland and once you exit the motorway it is a 2-minute drive to the parks.

If you do hire a car in Paris there are a number of things you need to know. It is a legal requirement in France that your car has an emergency stop sign, a reflecting jacket for every passenger, and a single-use breathalyzer.

Your hire company should provide all of these items but make sure you check and know where they are in case you are asked. If you are driving your own car in Paris then you will need to pack these items for yourself.

All cars driving in Paris are also required to display a clean air sticker which shows how much pollution the car produces. These will already be on a rental car if you hire it in France but you would need to have one produced for your own car if you choose to drive that to Paris.

Children under the age of 10 are not allowed by law to ride in the front seat and no hands-free or Bluetooth devices can be used in the car at all. Cars are also not permitted to carry speed camera detectors or use Satnavs with a speed camera function.

It is also worth noting that gazole in French is diesel, whilst petrol is essence . So make sure you’re filling up your car with the correct fuel type to avoid any breakdowns.

Getting to Disneyland Paris from Paris Airports

If you are travelling to Paris exclusively to visit Disneyland Paris then there are transport options that will take you straight from the airports to the parks. Disney run a Magical Shuttle airport bus which picks you up from either Charles de Gaulle or Orly Airport and takes you straight to the various Disneyland Paris hotels. This takes roughly an hour and can be added when you are buying your holiday package or added separately later.

There are also commercial shuttle bus options which follow a similar route and may be cheaper than the official Disney option. Some airlines offer this service as an additional extra when booking your flights.

Charles de Gaulle also has an express train service which connects the airport with Marne-la-Vallee. The TGV train is a highspeed train that travels between the different cities of France. Due to its speed, it only takes 9 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport to the Marne-la-Vallee station at the entrance to Disneyland Paris.

However, the trains run at odd times throughout the day and there can sometimes be up to a 2 hour gap between trains, so if you miss your train you could be in for a long wait at the station. It therefore depends when your flight arrives if this is a feasible option for you, but if you can get one of these then it is by far the quickest option.

Disneyland Paris is such a magical place and it’s important that you are able to make the most of your time there, so having a worry-free journey is the best way to start. Late afternoons

After the lunch rush, lines begin to thin out again after the lunch rush, usually between 2 pm and 4 pm. 

Enjoy a leisurely lunch and return to the rides when the crowds decrease.

While closing hours can be packed, wait times for certain popular attractions may reduce as the day progresses after 7 pm 

This is an excellent choice for experiencing popular rides without waiting in big lines.

Ultimate Tips for Visiting Disneyland Paris on a Budget

Disneyland Paris is a magical place however it is not a cheap place. In this guide we round up our best tips for visiting Disneyland Paris on a Budget so Disney is both the happiest place on earth for you and your wallet by covering tips from best places to book and when to book to how to actually save money in Disneyland Paris Parks.

1. Check all the Countries Websites 

I actually discovered this tip accidentally when I was using a VPN on my computer and was redirected to another country’s website. I was shocked to discover that the prices were cheaper than I was getting shown on the UK website. 

Apparently you can use this system even if you want to book via telephone and just quote the price and the website you saw it on. I however haven’t tried this myself as I always do all of my bookings online. 

Be sure to Check Package Deals – just in case

It is rare but very occasionally you can find a package deal that would be cheaper than if you booked all the component parts of your trip separately. I would say 9 times out of 10 the booking everything yourself is much cheaper but it is worth having a quick scan just to check as you may find something surprising. 

I can’t stress this enough – the earlier you book the better deal you are going to get. Flights, transport and accommodation will get more expensive the closer you get to your travel date. As someone who booked their last trip to Disney with less than a month’s notice I can tell you this from first hand experience and recommend that you don’t follow our example. 

Travel in the Off-Peak Season 

Wherever I am travelling in the world one of the things I always consider is travelling off peak. Off peaks is often cheaper and less crowded so is a win win. Off peak travel to Disneyland Paris is definitely going to save you money but the queues will also be far less. Its a win win. 

If you are can’t travel in the true off peak season be sure to try and avoid the school holidays and the weekends as these will be the most expensive and crowded times. 

Top tip : Don’t just think about your countries school holiday dates. France, Spain, UK, Germany etc will all have slightly different. Try and avoid all or as many as you can whenever you travel to Disneyland Paris. 

How to Get to Disneyland Paris on a Budget 

Depending on where you are coming from will depend on how to get to Disneyland Paris on a budget. If you are in Europe like we are now, driving is likely to be the cheapest option. This is what we did when we were travelling to Disneyland Paris from Amsterdam with our  toddler and  it was way cheaper for us than the train or the plane option. 

However if you are travelling to Disneyland Paris from the UK or Ireland then you should definitely be shopping around to find out what is the best way to get to Disneyland Paris on a Budget. If you are travelling to Disneyland Paris from the UK then you should be considering:

• Flying  
• Car and Ferry Crossing 
• Coach Travel 

How to Get to Disneyland Paris on a Budget via Eurostar

Eurostar is definitely worth considering if you are travelling to Disneyland Paris from London or its vicinity. If you are considering taking the Eurostar then my top tip is to get this booked early as you are more likely to get cheaper tickets the earlier you buy. Last minute booking will see a surge in pricing 

Another top top for travelling to Disneyland Paris on a budget via Eurostar is to get off the train at Paris Gare du Nord rather than booking directly into Disneyland Paris. Booking into Disneyland Paris is definitely more convenient as it means you won’t have to change however it will definitely add a fair bit onto your fare. Changing at Gare du Nord onto local transport. It will add just over an hour to your journey time but will save a lot more money.

How to Get to Disneyland Paris on a Budget If you are Flying or taking the ferry

Flying versus ferry versus Eurostar for cheapest way to get from Disneyland Paris really depends on when you are travelling, how far out you are booking etc. My tips for finding the cheapest method for all of these is book early and if you see a deal fare price book it. 

However be sure to compare all methods before you book. We use Skyscanner to compare flight costs , but be sure to have the ferry prices and Eurostar prices open at the same time so you can work out what is actually the cheapest method. 

If you are using any form of public transport or flying be sure to factor in the costs of getting to the station or airport (i.e. public transport or will you need to book a taxi because of very early/late flight times etc). 

Consider buying an annual pass

This is another one that may have you raising your eyebrow about but bear with me. The cost of a Disneyland Paris annual passes are actually not as expensive as you would expect. 

There are actually four levels of annual pass for Disneyland Paris. The Disneyland annual passes are: 

• Magic Flex 
• Magic Plus 
• Infinity 

Discover is the cheapest and Infinity is the most expensive. One of the things to watch out for in annual passes is their validity as although they say annual not all passes are truly annual and have some black dates. 

However if you are not travelling on one of the black out dates and are travelling a minimum of 3 but definitely 4 days in the park the annual pass will save you money. The annual pass is definitely value if you are spending 4 days in the park and could be if you are spending 3 days in the park but also plan to spend money on food and gifts in the parks then it could also be a saving.

If Not Be Sure to Book Your Tickets Online in Advance

If the annual pass doesn’t work as a cost saving to you be sure to book your tickets online in advance. Booking online in advance will save you time when you arrive on site (the queues for the on the day tickets can be massive) and also can save you a lot of money. 

I usually recommend booking directly with Disney however it is also worth checking the prices with the following online retailers as you may find a bargain:

• Viator Disneyland Paris Tickets 
• Get Your Guide Disneyland Paris Tickets
• Klook Disneyland Paris Tickets. 

Stay off-site 

There are lots of benefits to staying on-site at Disneyland Paris. You are in really easy walking distance or have a free shuttle into the park. You also get Early Magic Hours (EMH) which basically lets you into the park before the guests staying off site so you can get a lot of the big ticket items done before they get their big queues (i.e. meeting the Princesses in the Princess Pavilion or get on Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast). However staying on site comes with a heftier price tag. 

If you are looking to travel to Disneyland Paris on a budget then I would recommend not staying on site but instead looking at the accommodation options in Val D’Europe. This is where we stayed on our last trip and it was very convenient. We were one train stop away from the park and our accommodation was a lot cheaper. 

We stayed at he Ibis Budget on our last stay and it was basic but we only used to sleep and shower in. It was also exceptionally cheap at less than 90 euros a night for our family. If you are looking to save money at Disneyland Paris then I would recommend looking at the Ibis Budget in Val D’Europe as a great money saver.

There are also Airbnbs and apart hotels available should you want to cater yourself. Val D’Europe is next to the train station and literally takes minutes to get to the park nd is a great option for families visiting Disneyland Paris on a budget.

I also loved staying at Val D’Europe as well because of the amenities nearby. My favourite was the hypermarket Auchan. This was a great place as we could stock up on snacks and drinks which leads me to my next tip. 

Take Food into Disneyland Paris 

For some reason when I was looking online there seemed to be a bit of myth that you can’t take food into Disneyland Paris. This is not true. They do not let you take large hampers or coolers into the park with you but you absolutely can take food into the park. 

We found the best food to take into Disneyland Paris to be things that don’t spoil and we use Snack Bags to carry food into the park with us. We had peanut butter sandwiches, Ella’s kitchen pouches, cereal bars and of course drinks. 

Drinks and especially water in the park is pricey and if you are travelling during summer you will need a lot of it. Be sure to take with you a collapsible water bottle and refill it at the water stations around the park. This will save you a fair few pennies. 

If you or your kids don’t like water, take one of those squeeze concentrate squash  with you to add some flavour into the water and problem solved! 

If you do decide to eat the park then the most budget places are the self service restaurants. We ate at Colonel Hathi’s restaurant which was fine, nothing exceptional but cost 15 euros for a meal per adult so it definitely does add up. Buy Costumes and Theme T Shirts in Advance

Kids love dressing up to meet their favourite characters and I found that you actually get better interaction during the meeting and also during the parades if you are wearing merchandise relating to a certain character. Costumes and even t shirts are expensive on site so be sure to take your Disney costumes and clothes with you.  

We found the cheapest place to buy Themed T-Shirts  for your trip to be Primark. They have a contract with Disney so have loads of merchandise that will be perfect whatever time of year your visit Disneyland Paris. 

And while Primark was the cheapest I found for actual clothing, the cheapest place I found for actual Costumes for kids was online at Amazon.co.uk. 

Also be sure to grab a pair of Mickey or Minnie Mouse Disney Ears  for the entire family. These seem to be the most popular accessory at the park and I guarantee that your kids are going to want them. Buying these online in advance again will be much cheaper and also look great in your Disneyland Paris Photos!

First, you’ll need to pinpoint your starting location. Are you staying near the  Eiffel Tower , hitting the shops in central Paris, or catching a train from  Gare du Nord ?

It’s essential to know your point A so you can efficiently find your way to point D – Disneyland!

Suppose you’re landing in one of the airports, like  Charles de Gaulle  or  Orly . In that case, you’ll want to hop on the train or shuttle to the Paris city center, whichever is more convenient for you.

If you’re starting from the city center already – good news, the journey will be much easier for you!

Public Transportation Options

Navigating public transportation can feel like a maze sometimes, especially when you’re in a foreign country. Fear not! I’ve got your back.

I’ll help you find your way from Paris to Disneyland Paris using different options.

1. Taking the RER Train (RER A)

Let me introduce you to your new best friend in Paris: the RER train. Think of it as the superhero that swoops in to save you from getting lost in the City of Love.

To reach Disneyland Paris, you’ll need to hop on the RER A train line towards Marne-la-Vallée station. 

This red train line will take you directly to Disneyland Paris from the center of Paris (approx 1 hr).

You can get to the RER A line from multiple stations, but the two most common are Châtelet-Les Halles and Charles de Gaulle – Étoile .

• From Châtelet-Les Halles (5 minutes from Gare du Nord )
• From Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower )

Here’s your action plan for getting to Disneyland Paris via the RER train:

• Find the nearest RER station ticket window or billet Île-de-France ticket machines
• Purchase a ticket to Marne-la-Vallée station
• Follow the Mickey head signs to reach the Marne-la-Vallee-Chessy station (the last stop), which is just a 10-minute walk from the Disneyland park
• Keep your ticket handy, you’ll need it for the exit gates.

💡 Remember : During rush hour, trains can be crowded – so always be mindful of your belongings and take safety measures to keep your bags safe. 

2. Metro and Tram Services

You might have heard people mention using the metro and tram to get to Disneyland.

Well, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it won’t be the fastest or most efficient option. 

To reach Disneyland Paris via this method, you’d need to switch between metro line 7, tram T4, and finally the RER A.

Sounds like a wild goose chase, doesn’t it?

💡 Your best option is to take the metro or the tram to a station that connects directly to the RER A train line.

This includes the following stations:

• ​ Charles de Gaulle-Etoile
• Chatelet Les Halles
• Gare de Lyon

Once here, hop on the RER A line towards Marne-la-Valée station. You’ll ride the train all the way to the end of the line, and get off at Marne-la-Valée which leads you right into the park.

Private Transportation Choices

Sometimes, you just want to kick back and let someone else take care of the driving.

Private transportation options are perfect for you if you’re looking for a stress-free way to get from Paris to Disneyland Paris. 

Let’s dive into some options like hiring a taxi or ride-share service and renting a car.

Hiring a Taxi or Ride-Share Service

Your first option for private transportation is grabbing a taxi or using a ride-share service like Uber .

Taxis are readily available in Paris, and you can simply wave one down, just like in the movies! If you prefer the comfort of your smartphone, ride-sharing apps are also popular in the city.

The journey takes around 90 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, so you’ll have time to practice your best Disney character impressions!

💡 Keep in mind that prices for taxi or ride-share services can vary, so it’s essential to budget accordingly. Expect to pay anywhere from €60 and upwards for a ride from the center of Paris to Disneyland.

Alternatively, if you’re traveling with the whole family or a larger group, consider arranging for a private transfer. This option offers a more comfortable and convenient way to reach Disneyland, as well as giving you the peace of mind knowing your magical adventure is starting on the right foot.

Renting a Car

If you want the ultimate freedom to explore Paris and beyond, renting a car might be your best option.

There are numerous car rental agencies available near Gare de Lyon and other locations around the city.

Remember that driving in Paris is an adventure on its own, so make sure you’re confident navigating the Parisian streets like a champ!

When renting a car, you’ll typically be handed the keys to your own magic carpet to glide through the city at your leisure. Just make sure you return it by the agreed time, or you might find your fairy godmother charging you extra fees.

Once you hop in your rental car, it’s about a 90-minute drive from Paris city center to Disneyland Paris.

Parking is available at the resort, so you’ll know your trusty steed has a safe place to rest after your journey. Keep in mind that while driving to Disneyland Paris offers flexibility, it also comes with the responsibility of adhering to French traffic rules and regulations.

Disneyland Paris Express : Hop on to the  Disneyland Paris Express  for a hassle-free journey from the city center to the enchanting world of Disney. With multiple pick-up points across the city, you’ll find one near you.

Here’s a brief rundown of the pickup locations and shuttle schedule:

• Eiffel Tower area : 8:30 AM pickup
• Opéra : 8:35 AM pickup
• Châtelet : 8:55 AM pickup
• Gare du Nord : 8:15 AM pickup

Note : The last shuttle to the city center departs from Disneyland Paris at 9:00 pm.

To maximize your experience, consider heading out during off-peak hours, such as early morning (before 9 am) or late afternoon.

I highly recommend leaving as early as possible, to maximize your time in the park.

Disneyland Paris closes at 10pm daily, so leaving in the early morning gives you the most amount of time to explore the park and its surrounding shops before closing time.

Navigating with Luggage

• Travel light:  Bring only essentials in a backpack to minimize lugging around cumbersome bags.
• Luggage storage:  Store your luggage at the Marne-la-Vallee train station near the  Consigne  area for a stress-free day of adventure.

Reaching Disneyland Paris by train from Paris: the direct regional RER A

For those travelling from Paris, the Parks are only a 35-minute journey away on the RER A regional train. The closest stop to the Parks is Marne la Vallée/Chessy/Parcs Disneyland.

RER A: Val d'Europe stop

On board the official Disneyland Paris shuttle you will find: - An English/French bilingual assistant on the outward journey (not present on the return journey). - Practical information available in Italian during the outward journey by bus. Return from Disneyland Paris

The timetable varies according to the closing time of the Parks:

- Departure at 20:00 on days of the year when the Disney Parks close earlier

Arrivals and departures will take place in the Disneyland Paris bus park.

Magical Shuttle can also whisk you straight from Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports to the parks in approximately 45 minutes.

Disneyland Paris is located approximately 45km east of central Paris, and is easily accessible from the city's two main airports: - Paris-Charles De Gaulle airport - Paris-Orly airport From Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports, the Magical Shuttle is available, the official shuttle that connects these two airports directly to Disneyland Paris and its hotels! The stop is well signposted and easily identifiable at the arrival terminal. The Magical Shuttle is available all year round, with a frequency of one or two trips every hour. Paris-Beauvais airport is not directly connected to the Parks via the Magical Shuttle service, like the other two airports in the city. Disneyland Paris is also easily accessible by car. ¿Dónde recojo mis entradas a los parques Disney?

Big Thunder Mountain

Situated in Frontierland, this Wild West-themed ride is set in an old American Southwest mining town during the 19 th century. Disneyland Paris Delivers Magical Memories and Smiling Faces During Wish Weekend

Disneyland Paris proved once again why it is one of the most magical places in the world last weekend when the resort hosted 85 Make-A-Wish children from 12 different countries across Europe as part of their Wish Weekend.

Taking inspiration from Disney’s latest animated feature film Wish and the song “I’m a Star,” the special children got to experience a once-in-a-lifetime weekend full of unique experiences, magical moments, and, of course, a lot of Disney Magic.

Among the exciting events were a “Wish Upon a Star” breakfast, a parade led by Asha herself, and all sorts of character meet-and-greets. Everyone was smiling!

Disneyland Paris Remains Committed to Making Wishes Come True

This year’s Wish Weekend was just the latest example of Disneyland Paris’ commitment to making as many wishes as possible come true.

Over the last 32 years that the resort has been open, Cast Members have helped make dreams come true for more than 20,000 critically ill children and their families.

Making magic like that happen requires teamwork, and time and time again, Disneyland Paris Cast Members have stepped up to the occasion.

“It is the coming together of people like them who wish to spread Disney magic that makes wish granting so special,” explains Marie Francoise, a wish-fulfillment program coordinator at Disneyland Paris.
