How to disable Safari Suggestions on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Apple’s browser on iOS and macOS includes a nifty content recommendation capability called Safari Suggestions (not to be confused with suggested search words and phrases).

The feature activates when you start typing into Safari’s Smart Search field, popping up nicely designed interactive content previews for iTunes media, news, Wikipedia articles, weather forecasts, apps from the App Store , film showtimes, locations nearby, and more.

Sometimes these suggestions are not related to your searches at all, sometimes, they slow you down due to background activity, and other times you simply might not care about them. Thankfully, you can turn Safari Suggestions off on your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Mac with just a few taps/clicks. Here’s how.

Disable Safari Suggestions

Before we get to it, let me just point out that Safari Suggestions may not be available in all markets. “Not all features of Safari Suggestions may be available in all languages or regions and some features of Safari Suggestions may vary by region,” states Apple. For the full breakdown of the Spotlight Suggestions-friendly regions, check out Apple’s iOS Feature Availability .

Safari Suggestions and privacy

Safari Suggestions currently support the following items:

  • News stories from online publications
  • Wikipedia articles
  • iTunes media
  • App Store apps
  • Weather forecasts
  • Professional sports team and player info
  • Stock prices
  • Help and support documents from Apple
  • Points of interest and locations nearby
  • Suggestions from your search engine
  • Movie showtimes

These content previews may appear after entering a word or phrase in Safari’s Smart Search field.

For instance, if you enter the search phrase “ weather Cupertino ” Safari may provide a suggestion in the form of an up-to-date interactive preview containing handy information on the current weather conditions in Cupertino, California.

Click the preview and Safari opens an appropriate webpage with more information. Many other Safari Suggestions sport these interactive previews, some of which might include clickable buttons or links to do context-specific actions like sending an email, getting directions, making phone calls, playing song previews, and more.

If Safari Suggestions are enabled on your device, the following non-identifiable data will get sent to Apple when you run a search query in the Smart Search field:

  • Your search queries
  • The Safari Suggestions you select
  • Your device’s location, precise or approximated
  • Related usage data such as the names of the music and video subscription services you may be using and types of subscriptions

Your account name, number, password, and search results won’t be sent to Apple.

You can disable Safari Suggestions if you don’t need them or find them a nuisance. Doing so will also prevent the browser from sending both Safari Suggestions usage data and your search queries to Apple.

Safari Suggestions can be turned on and off independently of Location Services for the feature. Location Services help Safari suggestions deliver recommendations that are more relevant to your current location. More on these data gathering practices can be found in Apple’s Privacy Policy .

How to disable Safari Suggestions

Iphone, ipad, and ipod touch.

  • Launch Settings on your iOS device.
  • Tap Safari in the Settings list.
  • Slide the Safari Suggestions toggle to the OFF position.

Disable Safari Suggestions on iPhone

You can now close out the Settings app and switch to Safari to see the changes.

Tip:  If you’d also like to turn on or off suggested search terms in Safari, toggle the Search Engine Suggestions switch .

  • Open Safari on your Mac.
  • Select Preferences in the Safari menu.
  • Click the Search tab.
  • Deselect the checkbox next to Include Safari Suggestions .

Disable Include Safari Suggestions in Mac

Exit out of Safari Preferences, click the Smart Search field, and start typing to see your changes.

Disabling location for Safari Suggestions

As mentioned, Safari Suggestions use Location Services to deliver relevant search suggestions. You can opt-out of Location Services for Safari Suggestions, but Apple may still use the IP address of your Internet connection to approximate your location by matching it to a geographic region in order to try to tailor Safari Suggestions to your current location. Note that disabling Location Services for Safari Suggestions also disables them for Spotlight Suggestions.

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services  and tap  System Services at the very bottom.
  • Slide the switch next to Location-Based Suggestions  to the OFF position.

Disable Location Based Suggestions iPhone

Exit out of Settings for the changes to take effect.

  • Launch System Preferences on your Mac.
  • Click the Security & Privacy pane.
  • Click the padlock icon to unlock the preference pane, enter your Mac administrator account’s name and password and click Unlock to continue.
  • Click on the Privacy tab, select Location Services in the left-hand column, and select Details next to System Services in the righthand column.
  • Deselect Location-Based Suggestions .

Disable Location Based Suggestions Mac

And that’s all there’s to it!

How to remove an auto-complete suggestion from Safari

While Safari’s auto-complete suggestions when entering search terms in Safari’s address bar are frequently useful, Safari keeps making these annoying auto-complete suggestions that may be sites I visited years ago, but are no longer relevant to what I’m doing now. Is there any way to access where these auto-complete suggestions are stored in Safari and remove selected sites I am no longer interested in?

While there's not a list that you could modify in that way, the results you see are based on your browsing history, so it might help to clear that if you haven't tried it already. Check out this link for the steps: Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

"Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac

You can remove all records that Safari keeps of where you’ve browsed during a period of time you choose. If your Mac and your other Apple devices  have Safari turned on in iCloud settings , your browsing history is removed from all of them. Clearing your browsing history in Safari doesn’t clear any browsing histories kept independently by websites you visited.

  • safari address bar re-opens after search When I search from the address bar in Safari, the address bar opens with a list of autocomplete suggestions generated from my search engine, bookmarks, history, etc. This is very helpful. If I ignore those suggestions and simply hit "enter", Safari loads my search engine of choice to search for that term (which is great and exactly what I want). However, at that point, the address bar re-opens to display suggestions again, which obscures the page! Why in the world would the search suggestions re-open after I have completed a search, and is there any way to disable this behavior? 510 7

  • How to prevent safari dropdown with search suggestions from showing after search completion. Hello, in Safari address/search bar after I typed the text I want to search, I press the Return key. The search occurs and completes showing the webpage of the search engine. but this drop-down (see red frame in screenshot) keeps showing after the search completed. this prevents opening pages with one click. and ALWAYS have to click out in empty space to get this drop-down gone first. The most illogical in this is that this drop-down brings no added value, and could be removed to improve user experience. Does someone have a solution to get rid of this useless drop-down list? Thanks in advance. 911 1

Hello agd21,

You can disable Siri Suggestions for Safari on Mac with the following related steps: How Siri Suggestions work on Mac - Apple Support

Customize Siri Suggestions
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu   > System Settings, then click Siri & Spotlight   in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. On the right, click Siri Suggestions & Privacy.
3. Select apps in the list to turn “Show Siri Suggestions in [ app ]” or “Learn from this application” on or off.

Disabling Safari in Siri Suggestions should stop it from auto-populating these websites moving forward.

Let us know if that solves the issue for you.

Thanks destiny241, but it sounds like turning off Show Siri Suggestions in Safari will stop all auto-complete suggestions in Safari - Yes?

Safari’s auto-complete suggestions when entering search terms in the address bar are frequently useful. I was wondering if there is any way I can remove just the sites that keep getting filled in to auto-complete that are no longer relevant to me.

Mar 12, 2023 1:30 PM in response to ryane77

Thank you, ryane77.

Clearing browsing history seems to have worked. I suppose all the sites I wanted to keep are also now removed from auto-complete suggestions so I will just have to have them repopulated as Siri Suggestions as I visit the sites going forward.

Introduction

Safari, the default web browser for Apple devices, offers a seamless and intuitive browsing experience. However, as with any browser, users may encounter suggestions and recommendations that are not aligned with their preferences or privacy concerns. Whether it's unwanted autocomplete suggestions, website recommendations, or search predictions, these features can sometimes be intrusive or simply not desired.

Thankfully, there are several methods to address this issue and customize the browsing experience according to individual preferences. By understanding how to remove suggestions on Safari, users can regain control over their browsing environment and ensure a more personalized and private online experience.

In this article, we will explore three effective methods to remove suggestions on Safari. From clearing history and website data to disabling Safari suggestions and utilizing private browsing mode, each method offers a unique approach to tailoring the browsing experience to suit individual needs. By following these steps, users can enhance their privacy, streamline their browsing experience, and gain a deeper understanding of Safari's customization options.

Let's delve into these methods and discover how to remove suggestions on Safari, empowering users to take charge of their browsing environment and enjoy a more personalized and tailored web experience.

Method 1: Clearing History and Website Data

Clearing history and website data is an effective way to remove suggestions on Safari and ensure a more streamlined browsing experience. By erasing the browsing history, cookies, and other site data, users can reset Safari's suggestions and prevent unwanted recommendations from appearing. This method not only enhances privacy but also allows users to start with a clean slate, free from any previous browsing suggestions or autocomplete data.

To begin, users can access the "Settings" app on their iOS device and scroll down to find "Safari" in the list of installed apps. Tapping on "Safari" will reveal various options, including "Clear History and Website Data." Selecting this option will prompt a confirmation message, ensuring that users are aware of the consequences of clearing their browsing data. Once confirmed, Safari will proceed to erase the browsing history, cookies, and other site data, effectively removing any unwanted suggestions or recommendations.

Alternatively, users can also clear their browsing data directly within the Safari app . By tapping the book icon to access the bookmarks, selecting the clock icon to view the browsing history, and then tapping "Clear" at the bottom of the screen, users can choose to clear the history, cookies, and other browsing data. This method provides a more direct approach to removing suggestions on Safari, allowing users to customize their browsing environment with ease.

It's important to note that clearing history and website data may also log users out of websites and remove stored login credentials. Therefore, it's advisable to consider the potential impact on saved passwords and website preferences before proceeding with this method. Additionally, users should be aware that clearing browsing data is a permanent action and cannot be undone, so it's essential to proceed with caution and make an informed decision based on individual browsing preferences.

By regularly clearing history and website data, users can maintain a clean and personalized browsing environment, free from unwanted suggestions and recommendations. This method not only enhances privacy and security but also allows users to tailor their browsing experience to align with their preferences and priorities. With a clear understanding of how to remove suggestions on Safari through clearing history and website data, users can take proactive steps to optimize their browsing environment and enjoy a more personalized and tailored web experience.

Method 2: Disabling Safari Suggestions

Disabling Safari suggestions is an effective way to customize the browsing experience and remove unwanted recommendations from appearing. Safari's suggestion feature, which includes website suggestions, search predictions, and autocomplete recommendations, can sometimes be intrusive or not aligned with users' preferences. By disabling these suggestions, users can take control of their browsing environment and ensure a more personalized and private web experience.

To disable Safari suggestions, users can start by opening the Safari app on their iOS device. Once in the Safari browser , they can navigate to the "Settings" menu by tapping the gear icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen. Within the Settings menu, users can scroll down to find the "Safari" option and tap on it to access the browser's settings.

Within the Safari settings, users will find various customization options, including the ability to disable specific features such as search engine suggestions, quick website search, and Safari suggestions. By toggling off the "Safari Suggestions" option, users can effectively disable the feature and prevent unwanted recommendations from appearing while browsing.

Additionally, users can further customize their browsing experience by disabling other related features, such as "Search Engine Suggestions" and "Quick Website Search." These options allow users to tailor their browsing environment according to their preferences, ensuring a more streamlined and personalized web experience.

It's important to note that by disabling Safari suggestions, users may experience a more private and focused browsing experience, free from unwanted recommendations and autocomplete suggestions. This method empowers users to take charge of their browsing environment and customize Safari to align with their individual preferences and privacy concerns.

By understanding how to disable Safari suggestions, users can optimize their browsing experience and ensure that their interactions with the browser are tailored to their specific needs. Whether it's enhancing privacy, streamlining the browsing process, or removing intrusive recommendations, disabling Safari suggestions offers a valuable customization option for Safari users seeking a more personalized and tailored web experience.

Method 3: Using Private Browsing Mode

Utilizing private browsing mode is a powerful method to remove suggestions on Safari and enhance privacy during online activities. Private browsing, also known as "Incognito Mode" in some browsers, creates a temporary session that does not store browsing history, search history, cookies, or other site data. This allows users to browse the web without leaving a trail of their online activities, ensuring a more discreet and confidential browsing experience.

To initiate private browsing mode in Safari, users can open the Safari app on their iOS device and tap the tab icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. This will reveal the tabs view, where users can select "Private" in the lower-left corner to switch to private browsing mode. Once activated, the browser interface will change to indicate that private browsing is in effect, typically with a dark theme or a prominent visual indicator.

While in private browsing mode, Safari will not save the browsing history, search history, or any information entered into forms. Additionally, any cookies or site data generated during the private browsing session will be discarded once the session is closed. This ensures that users can browse the web without being subjected to personalized suggestions or recommendations based on their private browsing activities.

Private browsing mode is particularly useful when users want to conduct research, make sensitive online transactions, or simply explore the web without leaving a digital footprint. By removing the storage of browsing data and site-specific preferences, private browsing mode offers a level of anonymity and discretion that is not present in regular browsing sessions.

It's important to note that while private browsing mode enhances privacy during the browsing session, it does not provide complete anonymity or security. Internet service providers, employers, and network administrators may still be able to track online activities, and private browsing mode does not encrypt internet traffic or protect against external monitoring. Therefore, users should exercise caution and consider additional privacy measures when browsing sensitive or confidential content.

By understanding how to use private browsing mode in Safari, users can take advantage of this powerful feature to remove suggestions and recommendations, enhance privacy, and enjoy a more discreet and confidential browsing experience. Whether it's avoiding personalized suggestions based on browsing history or conducting private online activities, private browsing mode offers a valuable tool for tailoring the browsing experience to individual preferences and privacy needs.

In conclusion, the ability to remove suggestions on Safari empowers users to take control of their browsing environment and tailor their online experience to align with their preferences and privacy concerns. By exploring the methods outlined in this article, users can effectively customize Safari to ensure a more personalized, streamlined, and private web browsing experience.

Clearing history and website data serves as a foundational method for removing suggestions on Safari. By erasing browsing history, cookies, and other site data, users can reset Safari's suggestions and prevent unwanted recommendations from appearing. This method not only enhances privacy but also allows users to start with a clean slate, free from any previous browsing suggestions or autocomplete data. However, it's essential to consider the potential impact on saved passwords and website preferences before proceeding with this method.

Disabling Safari suggestions offers a valuable customization option for users seeking a more private and focused browsing experience. By toggling off features such as Safari Suggestions, Search Engine Suggestions, and Quick Website Search, users can prevent unwanted recommendations and autocomplete suggestions from appearing while browsing. This method empowers users to take charge of their browsing environment and customize Safari to align with their individual preferences and privacy concerns.

Utilizing private browsing mode provides a powerful tool for enhancing privacy and removing suggestions on Safari. Private browsing creates a temporary session that does not store browsing history, search history, cookies, or other site data, ensuring a more discreet and confidential browsing experience. By removing the storage of browsing data and site-specific preferences, private browsing mode offers a level of anonymity and discretion that is not present in regular browsing sessions.

By understanding and implementing these methods, users can optimize their browsing experience, enhance privacy, and ensure that their interactions with Safari are tailored to their specific needs. Whether it's avoiding personalized suggestions based on browsing history, streamlining the browsing process, or conducting private online activities, the ability to remove suggestions on Safari offers valuable customization options for a more personalized and tailored web experience.

In essence, the methods outlined in this article provide users with the tools to navigate Safari's customization options effectively, empowering them to create a browsing environment that reflects their individual preferences and priorities. By taking proactive steps to remove suggestions on Safari, users can enjoy a more personalized, streamlined, and private web browsing experience, ensuring that their interactions with the browser are aligned with their specific needs and privacy concerns.

How to Remove "Frequently Visited" on Safari (iPhone and Mac)

Safari's "Frequently Visited" section brings convenience at the cost of your privacy. So, here's how to remove it and keep your top sites private.

Key Takeaways

  • iPhone, iPad, and Mac users have a total of three ways to get rid of Safari's "Frequently Visited" section.
  • Choose between hiding the entire section or deleting specific sites if you wish to keep using the feature but want to clear certain websites.
  • Deleting your Safari history is a better option to ensure complete privacy and prevent others from seeing your web history and top-searched sites.

The "Frequently Visited" section on Safari's start page makes it easy to access top-searched websites quickly. However, someone who borrows your device for a moment can easily see what these sites are. So, here's how to remove "Frequently Visited" from Safari.

How to Remove Safari's Frequently Visited Section on an iPhone

First, let's look at removing the Frequently Visited section from the Safari start page. Follow the steps below to learn what you need to do:

  • Launch Safari. If there's already a webpage loaded, tap the Tabs icon (two squares, overlapped) in the toolbar.
  • Then, tap the Add (+) icon in the bottom-left corner to open a new tab and access the start page.
  • On the start page, scroll down to the bottom and tap Edit .
  • Now, toggle off Frequently Visited .

That's it. After toggling off Frequently Visited , you can also opt to toggle on Use Start Page on All Devices as an additional setting to improve your Safari experience . This will remove the Frequently Visited section from Safari across your other Apple devices, as long as you're signed in to them with the same Apple ID.

How to Get Rid of Frequently Visited Sites in Safari on an iPhone

If you want to continue using the Frequently Visited section but wish to clear one or more of the existing sites listed there, you have two options: delete a specific site or delete your Safari history.

To remove a specific site, long-press on the website icon under the Frequently Visited section and tap Delete from the context.

Deleting your Safari history is the better option if you want to ensure that people won't find out which websites you've visited. That's because removing the Frequently Visited section and deleting specific sites only hides them from view. Those sites still remain in your Safari history.

So, if someone types certain letters or keywords into the search field, the website link will naturally appear as part of your web history.

To delete your Safari history and get rid of all frequently visited sites at once, tap the Bookmark icon in the toolbar, head to the History tab (clock icon), and tap Clear > All History > Clear History .

How to Remove Safari's Frequently Visited Section on a Mac

Let's move on to the instructions for Mac. First, open Safari to view the start page. If you're already on a webpage in Safari, you can access the start page by clicking Bookmarks > Show Start Page from the menu bar.

To customize the Safari start page on your Mac , click Options (icon shows three sliders) at the bottom and uncheck Frequently Visited . This section will now disappear from the start page in Safari.

How to Get Rid of Frequently Visited Sites in Safari on a Mac

Like on an iPhone, you can choose to keep the Frequently Visited section but delete a specific site from the list. In Safari, Control -click on the website under Frequently Visited and choose Delete .

To get rid of frequently visited websites from your web history and prevent them from showing up at the top of your search suggestions, you'll need to delete your Safari history on macOS.

With the browser open, click Safari in the menu bar and choose Clear History . Click the dropdown arrow in the pop-up menu and select All History . Then, click Clear History to confirm your action.

Safari's Frequently Visited Section Doesn't Have to Compromise Your Privacy

As you can see, iPhone, iPad, and Mac users have three options if they wish to remove frequently visited sites from Safari.

If your aim is to simply remove the whole list of sites from plain view, you can hide the entire Frequently Visited section. However, if you want to continue using the feature for convenience, you can either delete specific sites or clear your Safari history completely.

Welcome to Product Support , a column devoted to helping you get the most out of the gadgets and software you already use.

Google Search, the feature you likely use every time you type something in your browser’s search bar, is the most popular search engine on the planet. Millions and millions of people use it for everything and anything, from researching school projects to shopping for the latest gaming consoles, looking for cool new recipes to finding that movie you can’t remember the name of. The problem is that when typing fast, we all can fall victim to the occasional spelling error. And since Google remembers, it will autofill that mistake over and over again. Ugh .

7 Ways to Fix Safari Suggestions Greyed Out on iPhone

Apple’s exclusive web browser Safari is the go-to option for many of us while using an iPhone. While it mostly does a great job, it still isn’t free from flaws . Recently, we weren’t able to retrieve search suggestions on Safari. Of course, we went to the Settings app for a check but turns out the toggle for Safari Suggestions was greyed out.

If you faced this problem too, you’re not alone. So, we decided to compile a few effective methods to fix this issue on your iPhone. Since we’re quite reliant on auto-completing the searches on our web browser through suggestions, not being able to enable the option is indeed frustrating.

Here are seven different methods to fix Safari suggestions greyed out or not working on iPhone. The issue mostly arises due to a bug present in either the Safari app or your present iOS version. Hence, the methods below revolve around fixing such bugs. Let’s begin.

1. Clear Safari Data

After an extended period of browsing Safari, a large accumulation of cache and cookies will occur. However, they will not be useful after a certain point and hence, can be regarded as junk files. But apart from occupying storage space, these junk files infamously execute bugs as well.

Hence, they can certainly be a cause for Safari suggestions greyed out in the Settings app. Here’s how you can clear Safari data on your iPhone.

Step 1:  Open the Settings app and select Safari.

delete safari search suggestions

Step 2:  Tap on ‘Clear History and Website Data’ and select ‘Clear History and Data’ to confirm. This will delete your browsing history, stored cache, cookies, and saved passwords.

Click on Clear Website History and Data

If this doesn’t work, you can try restarting Safari. Let us understand how this helps.

2. Restart Safari

Closing an application shuts down the existing session. This means that all the elements are shut down too, including the bugs as well. Once you open the app again, there’s a chance of eliminating the bug causing the problem. This applies to Safari and the search suggestions toggle being greyed out too.

Here’s how to quickly restart Safari.

Step 1: Open the app switcher.

  • On iPhone with home button : Double tap the home button.
  • On iPhone without home button : Swipe up from the bottom of your screen.

Step 2: Close Safari from the app switcher.

Step 3: Lastly, open Safari from your app library to restart Safari.

3. Enable Siri Suggestions

While enabling or disabling Siri Suggestions is not known to have any effect on the Safari suggestions toggle, a community expert on Apple Community suggested this method and was marked as helpful. Hence, here’s how you can enable Siri suggestions on your iPhone.

Step 1: Open the Settings app.

Open Settings App on iPhone

Step 2: Tap on ‘Siri & Search’.

Step 3: Turn on the toggle for Show Suggestions.

However, it is also better to ensure that Safari does not have any restrictions on the screen time menu. Let’s know more about the same in the next section.

4. Disable Content Restrictions For Safari

There’s an option to restrict content on your iPhone, and it may be preventing you from restricting any content from Safari search suggestions and modifying the Safari suggestions toggle. Here’s how to disable content restrictions on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap on Screen Time.

Open Settings App on iPhone

Step 3: Tap on ‘Content and Privacy Restrictions’.

Step 4: Turn off the toggle for ‘Content & Privacy Restrictions’.

You can now go back to Settings and check if the Safari suggestions toggle is greyed out or not.

But if this doesn’t work either, you can try restarting your iPhone.

5. Restart iPhone

“Have you tried turning it off and on again?” is probably the most common solution we get recommended when we have a problem with technology. It rightfully earns popularity, since it seems to fix a lot of problems – even on the iPhone.

When you restart your iPhone, you essentially start a fresh session. Therefore, there’s a good chance of eliminating all the bugs that were previously causing any issues. This holds for the issue of Safari suggestions greyed out as well. So, here’s how to restart your iPhone.

Step 1:  First, shut down your device.

  • On iPhone X and above : Press and hold the volume down and the side button.
  • On iPhone SE 2nd or 3rd gen, 7, and 8 series : Press and hold the side button.
  • On iPhone SE 1st gen, 5s, 5c, or 5 : Hold the power button at the top.

Restart iPhone

Step 2:  Now, drag the power slider to turn off the device.

Step 3:  Next, turn on your device by pressing and holding the power button on your iPhone.

6. Update iPhone

If Safari suggestions are greyed out for a large group of users, Apple will certainly take note of all the complaints across forums and release an iOS update to fix it. Therefore, ensure you remain on the latest version of iOS. Here’s how to check.

Step 1:  Open the Settings app and select General.

Click on General

Step 2:  Tap on Software Update and select Download and Install. This will download and install the latest iOS update for your iPhone.

Click on Software Update

However, if your iPhone is already updated to the latest version and the above method is not an option – you can try to reset your iPhone as a last resort.

7. Reset iPhone

To pinpoint a misconfiguration causing an issue on your iPhone is hard, hence you would want to consider bringing back all settings and configurations to their default states. This is exactly what resetting an iPhone does.

This means that all your location, home screen layout, privacy settings, and more will be back to default. Here’s how to do it.

Step 2:  Select ‘Transfer or Reset iPhone’.

Step 3:  Tap on Reset.

Select Transfer or Reset iPhone

Step 4:  Now, tap on ‘Reset All Settings’ to return all the settings and configurations of your iPhone to their default states.

Select Reset All Settings

That is everything you need to know on how to get rid of the Safari suggestions greyed-out issue on your Settings app. However, if you still have any further questions, look at the FAQ section below.

FAQs on Safari Suggestions Greyed Out

Yes. You can change the default search engine on Safari by opening the Settings app > Safari > Search Engine.

Never Run Out of Suggestions

We hope this article helped you fix a greyed-out Safari suggestions toggle. While Apple offers a relatively stable user experience, it still isn’t free from such bugs, especially on older iPhones. Thanks to the regular software updates on iPhone, Apple has been doing a good job of quickly providing a fix.
