Luke Bryan will once again bring his live show to small farming communities. The country music star and American Idol judge for the past two seasons has announced dates and towns for his 2019 Farm Tour. The annual fall run will play six cities, kicking off September 26th in Marshall, Wisconsin, at the Statz Bros. Farm. He’ll also visit Richland, Michigan; Pleasantville, Ohio; Louisburg, Kansas; Douglass, Kansas; and Norman, Oklahoma. Opening acts for the tour should be announced in the coming weeks.
The “Knockin’ Boots” singer began Farm Tour in 2009 as a way to raise money and awareness for farmers and farm towns. A portion of the trek’s proceeds typically go toward a college scholarship awarded to students from agricultural families or those who are studying agriculture in school.
The Farm Tour dates are woven in between Bryan’s Sunset Repeat Tour, which plays throughout the summer and wraps up October 25th at Ford Field in Detroit. In 2016 Bryan released the Farm Tour five-song EP Farm Tour … Here’s to the Farmer .

Luke Bryan has revealed the dates for his 11th annual Farm Tour. The trek, which launches Sept. 26, will have the singer performing on stages set up in the fields of six new farms in five different states.
“The idea behind this tour is to bring full production concerts to small towns that would not see larger scale shows,” Bryan says in a statement. “Growing up in rural Georgia we had to drive to larger cities to see concerts. It is so exciting to watch each of these shows being built like a small city in itself in the empty pasture land of these farms. We can feel the pride from the people in these towns as well as the farmers and it takes everyone coming together to pull them off!”

Country music superstar Luke Bryan kicks off his Farm Tour 2019 run today (9/26) at the Statz Brothers Farm in Marshall, Wisconsin. This time around he’s taking along a few of his friends, including Cole Swindell, Mitchell Tenpenny, the Peach Pickers, and DJ Rock.
“Well, yeah, I mean the Farm Tour has grown throughout the years, and the fact that we can set a stage up in a hayfield or some kind of field and people flock to it is what I envisioned when I created Farm Tour , and to obviously help some kids with scholarships and stuff like that. But the Farm Tour has grown every year, and it’s always something we look forward to. It’s really an exciting time to be able to just be out on a farm on a Fall night. Sometimes it’s cool and everybody’s got, it’s perfect jacket weather and everybody’s just enjoying music and having fun, and it’s happening in these little towns that have never gotten a show like this. So, it’s always fun knowing that I leave these little towns, and they can go, ‘Hey, we got to go party out in a field and hear a bunch of Nashville country music singers roll in,’ and give ‘em a great show. So many great memories through the years,” Bryan shared via his label about the tour.
More than 100,000 fans have attended the tour each year since its inception in 2009. Luke will continue giving back to farmers by awarding college scholarships to students from farming families who are attending local colleges or universities near the tour stops. To date, more than 60 scholarships have been granted.

Over the past few years, close to 3 million meals have been donated and over $180,000 went to area food banks and local farmers in each of the tour cities.

“Here’s to the Farmer” Lyrics
Talk about an uphill battle Two thousand acres of beans and cattle But he don’t ever get rattled He just goes ’til the sun goes down Hydraulic fluid on his jeans Red dye diesel and ten rows between A cold one on the porch and a good nights of sleep Y’all hold ’em up with me now Here’s to the farmer that plants the fields in the spring That turn from green to that harvest honey Hold one up for the banker downtown That got him on his feet with handshake money Here’s to the farmer’s wife That loves him every night Raising a son, raising a daughter They gather ’round the table, send it up to the Father Somehow they get closer when times get harder Here’s to the farmer Subdivision’s creeping on in Neighborhood kids keep jumping his fence He could double his money But that’d be the end of a promise he’ll never break ‘Cause he looked his daddy in the eye And he’s got that stubborn pride He’ll be here ’til the day he dies No, he wouldn’t have it any other way Here’s to the farmer that plants the fields in the spring That turn from green to that harvest honey Hold one up for the banker downtown That got him on his feet with handshake money Here’s to the farmer’s wife That loves him every night Raising a son, raising a daughter They gather ’round the table, send it up to the Father Somehow they get closer when times get harder Here’s to the farmer Yeah, here’s to the farmer that loves his day in the sun Won’t sell that old half-ton Nobody knows better ’bout a hard-earned dollar Just tell him how far he’s gotta go and he’ll go further Here’s to the farmer Here’s to the farmer Thank you, boys

By Gayle Thompson - July 9, 2019 01:09 pm EDT
Luke Bryan just announced the opening acts for his upcoming Farm Tour, and plenty of fans had correct guesses about which singers would set the stage for Bryan. The Georgia native announced that Cole Swindell , Mitchell Tenpenny , the Peach Pickers and DJ Rock will serve as his opening acts for the tour, which kicks off on Sept. 26.
Bryan teased the announcement on social media, sharing just the silhouette of who would be opening the shows for him, with fans quickly guessing Swindell, Tenpenny and the Peach Pickers.
Bryan had the idea for the Farm Tour, now in its 11th year, when he realized that many people in rural towns didn't have access to the same kind of concerts that fans in big cities did.
"The idea behind this tour is to bring full production concerts to small towns that would not see larger scale shows," Bryan previously said about launching the Farm Tour. "Growing up in rural Georgia we had to drive to larger cities to see concerts. It is so exciting to watch each of these shows being built like a small city in itself in the empty pasture land of these farms. We can feel the pride from the people in these towns as well as the farmers and it takes everyone coming together to pull them off!!"
Bryan definitely has enough on his plate without adding the Farm Tour, but he insists it's too important of a cause for him to skip.
"Farm Tour is just fun to me, and it's something that anytime you can start something that starts small and grow it," said the singer . "We never want to make it this really ginormous thing that we can't control, but we want to make sure it's on our terms and we love doing it. And then we want to make sure that the communities that we partner up with from the sheriff's office to the highway patrol guys to the colleges to the college kids, we want to make sure it's a positive thing at the end of the day for the communities.
"Therefore, that's why we do the scholarships and we hope that we leave these places better than we found 'em, and we hope people continue to want us back," he continued. "And we hope we feel like we're a positive thing for the local economies for these small towns, which wouldn't necessarily have 15, 20-thousand people converging on 'em. I hope it's a positive thing for 'em and not a negative. I enjoy being out there [performing in] the field and playing for the fans."
Proceeds from the Farm Tour go to awarding college scholarships to students from farming families who are attending local colleges or universities in cities near the tour stops. In addition, Bayer is partnering once again with the Farm Tour, with their #HerestotheFarmer campaign. For every hashtag share, Bayer will donate a meal to a hungry American through Feeding America.

Loudoun Farm Tours are a biannual celebration of farming in Loudoun County, with one each for the planting in spring and the harvest in fall.
During the third weekends of May and October, Loudoun farms are encouraged to open to the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., offering parking, tours of operations, and an educational component that’s free and open to the public.
Loudoun Made, Loudoun Grown products, CSAs and memberships are typically available for purchase. Each tour offers a slightly different roster of participating farms, with some farms participating every year, while others cycle through.
A Unique Tradition in the Nation’s Capital Region
Begun in 1993 as the Fall Colors Tour, the tour took a more agricultural angle in the years that followed, and was conducted every harvest season including in a virtual and hybrid capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 1996, Loudoun Economic Development and the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office added the Spring Farm Tour to kick off the growing season in the Loudoun Valley.
In the years since, the tour has grown in size and scope, regularly drawing visitors from throughout the D.C. region and beyond.
DID YOU KNOW?
Visiting farms has many benefits for children, including a reduction in allergies and a greater willingness to try new foods when they know where they came from.

The Loudoun Farm Tours are designed to showcase innovative and sustainable practices happening every day at farms in the county.

Farm & Ranch Fun for Everyone
We’re going all out on Fiber Arts this year featuring fiber demonstrations, classes and handmade products. Several folks from the Seven Hills Handweavers Guild expressed interest in being here. Their hours will vary depending on their schedules.
Julie Paterson will be here to demonstrate inkle weaving and/or rigid heddle weaving on Saturday. She plans to bring pre-warped inkle looms for people to weave bookmarks that they will then receive in the mail after the event. She’ll have hand-woven key chains, lanyards, guitar straps, luggage straps and bookmarks for sale as well.
Julie is also teaching inkle loom weaving here on Friday, November 8, 2019. Learn more and sign up.
Ramona Abernathy-Paine will be here on Saturday demonstrating weaving on a harness loom. She will have small towels for sale–tea towels, hand towels, some using hemp yarn.
Alice Cappa of Weaves by Cappa will be here on Sunday.
Hear the newest stories about what is going on at the ranch, and stop at all the different fields to see sheep, goats, dogs and the Mayhaw pond. Bring the whole family for a country ride on the wagon. It is always fun!
The hayrides are sponsored by our local Farm Credit of Florida.
Petting Places
We have some very tame goats that even young children can pet and feed. We set up a table where you can buy cups of feed and get instructions on how to feed livestock animals by hand.
Tyrion is the white, mini-horse and the mini-donkey is Cookie. We bring them both out for folks to pet, groom and feed. They love the attention!
Fun and Games for All Ages
The Archeological Dig was a big hit at our last Mayhaw Festival. Kids are given a scoop and screen to filter sand from our big sandbox. They can unearth gems and stones, sharks teeth and dino skeletons. And keep what they find!
At the last festival, a bunch of kids discovered the hammock to climb on.
No kid can resist the phony pony swing here at Golden Acres Ranch.
Farm Credit also brings Corn Hole Game equipment for everyone to use.

Livestock for Sale
We have goats for sale as pets or registered breeding stock. We’ve been refining our herds to only include Myotonic (Fainting) Goats. Lots of miniatures, many are registered since this breed is an ‘endangered livestock.’
Guinea Fowl Keets For Sale
We’ve been raising Guinea Fowl keets just for the Farm Tour. This year we have the classic domestic gray pearled variety. Like the middle one in the photo below.
The group in this photo is not shy about wanting more corn tossed out to them from the feed room.
Once established, Guineas need no care from you. They range the property eating bugs and roosting in the trees at night. You’ll need a caged-in area to start them out. Feed and water them there for 2-4 weeks and they’ll know where ‘home’ is. Our established flock expect a scoopful of corn kernals every morning as we go out to feed livestock.
Mayhaw Trees for Sale
It is a myth that Mayhaw Berry trees have to grow in water. They’ve always been found in wetlands because they can’t tolerate fire, and fire is a natural occurrence in Florida forests. More information about our trees on the Mayhaw Berry Tree page .
They actually make great landscape plants since they don’t grow more than about 40 feet, do not have invasive trunk or root system and are a pretty shape. You don’t need more than one for pollination, but you can expect a better harvest if there’s more than one.
