Mariah Carey season is in full swing.

Although we haven’t made it to Thanksgiving yet, the Queen of Christmas is already spreading holiday cheer all over North America as part of her 2023 ‘Merry Christmas One And All Tour.’

That includes a pair of concerts at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 17 .

And if you want tickets to see the Songbird Supreme live —along with her kids who will be providing “music making and merriment” according to Carey in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel — it isn’t too late to secure your seats.

As of now, tickets are available for all 15 remaining concerts on her 2023 tour calendar.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats was $58 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have tickets starting anywhere from $67 to $189 before fees.

For those in NY, prices are much cheaper than when we reported on them on Nov. 1; back then, the Dec. 9 show had seats starting at $297 before fees . Today, they’re only $103 .

Now that’s a Christmas miracle.

Wonder how much it will cost you to see Mariah at the show closest to you?

We’ve got your back.

All the information you’re looking for and more about the ‘Merry Christmas One And All Tour’ can be found below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Mariah Carey Christmas video

Once Halloween ends, it’s Mariah season.

In a humorous  Instagram video , Carey finds herself inside a vault, frozen into a block of ice as the clock strikes midnight on Nov. 1.

When the camera reveals what’s happening around her, we find she’s surrounded by a gaggle of Halloween ghouls using hair dryers to break her free.

Finally, our diva regains consciousness and uses her famous falsetto to emerge from the ice as she belts, “It’s time!” before breaking into a celebratory dance.

For those who want a peek, you can find the giddy clip  here .

Mariah Carey residency las vegas 2024

Adele reschedules 2024 'weekends' las vegas residency shows postponed by illness, mariah carey.

See latest videos, charts and news

Indeed, after a brief voiceover intro that referenced her “rollercoaster” life, Carey descended upon the stage to open with “Vision of Love,” her Billboard No. 1 debut single from 1990. What followed was a nostalgic journey through some of Carey’s biggest hits, each in chronological order of when they were released, and many accompanied by a story or quip about how the song came to be.

Introducing “Dreamlover,” Carey reminisced about rehearsing with Aretha Franklin at 1998’s Divas Live concert, where Franklin remarked that she “loved” the song, and playfully suggested that the two perform the track instead of their scheduled duet instead. While the Divas Live setlist went ahead as scheduled — sans “Dreamlover” — Carey said she couldn’t believe the song got the Queen of Soul’s approval. “I was like ‘Oh my god,'” Carey squeaked in mock surprise on stage. “Ms Franklin was talking to me! “

Backed by a four-piece band, eight dancers and three background vocalists (including Trey Lorenz who duets with Carey on “I’ll Be There”), the songs are interspersed with old interview clips from each album cycle and motivational quotes on screen narrated by Carey herself.

The loudest cheers were saved for the Butterfly era, which Carey has called her “favorite” and “most personal” album . Perched on a pink and lavender couch elevated high above the stage, the singer ran through a medley of the album’s R&B cuts, including “Babydoll,” “Breakdown” and “The Roof,” which Carey recently remade for her MasterClass course . After an uptempo mashup of “Honey” and “Heartbreaker” (from the Rainbow album) it was time for the main event.

When The Emancipation of Mimi was released in 2005, critics hailed it as Carey’s “comeback album,” following muted reactions to 2002’s Charmbracelet , and her movie soundtrack Glitter , which was released on September 11 (neither of those albums were performed at the residency, though Carey’s dancers break out some moves during a Glitter / Charmbracelet interlude that serves as a set change). Mimi though, was an immediate hit with fans, spawning two number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, while sending Carey across a world tour that took her as far as Tunisia and Japan.

Here in Vegas, the album was showcased in all its glory, with Carey rising from the stage in a glamorous gold gown to the refrains of “I Wish You Knew,” an old-school soul ballad with a spoken-word bridge that’s a favorite among the singer’s lambily . That was followed by a one-two punch of “It’s Like That” and “Say Something,” which kept the already buoyant crowd on its feet.

Though Carey is known for sprinkling some “diva” moments into her shows, she largely eschews the antics this time around in favor of letting the music speak for itself. The singer has been known to be wheeled or carried off-stage by dancers, but this time she walks(!) in heels(!) by herself(!) in between costume changes (of which there were five on the night). Carey walking herself backstage is a small detail of course, but in a way, it perfectly incapsulates the feeling of the show.

While Carey has performed in Vegas before, she has never sounded or looked better. And while other artists of her caliber would rest on familiar songs or arrangements, Carey continues to push herself with musical director Daniel Moore, to offer deep cuts for the fans, while reinventing her hits in new and novel ways.

And then there’s the walking thing.

Closing the show in a nude mesh Swarovski gown, Carey capped the triumphant night with The Emancipation of Mimi’s signature songs, “We Belong Together” and “Fly Like a Bird,” before the curtains began to slowly close on the star-lit stage. Standing solo before the sold-out crowd, the superstar waved farewell, then picked up her dress and shuffled her stilettos offstage, unaccompanied — and unfazed.

If The Emancipation of Mimi was about freeing Carey from her past, the “Celebration of Mimi” residency is about seeing her legacy forward. No one has ever doubted the singer and songwriter’s talent, but two decades removed from her landmark album, Mariah Carey is proving that she can still do it all on her own — and on her own terms — high heels and all.

The celebration of mimi: inside sold-out opening night of mariah carey’s las vegas residency.

Maria Carey performs during The Celebration of Mimi Live at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas on April 12, 2024.

When news broke in early February that Mariah Carey had booked a return ticket to Las Vegas to mount another residency, it was revealed that she would design the set list as a celebration of her 2005 blockbuster album, The Emancipation of Mimi .

Needless to say, Carey had plenty of options to choose from when putting the pieces together for her newest Vegas party. The Hollywood Reporter was seated inside Dolby Live on Friday as Carey unveiled The Celebration of Mimi , and the biggest surprise of night one came as it took nearly one hour to get to Emancipation .

Carey offered up her own version of a Taylor Swift-style Eras Tour by chronicling her life story and musical career with a flurry of hit songs interwoven by videos and voiceover pulled from her New York Times best-selling memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey . It opened with Carey’s voice describing the emotions and perspective of “little Mariah,” as a way to dedicate the show to her.

“She’s been scared and alone for so long, and yet, through the darkness, she’s never lost her light,” Carey says in the voiceover that played as the venue went dark save for light shimmering behind a floor-to-stage curtain with a cutout spelling Mimi in giant lettering. “She’s made herself known through my songs, her yearning heard over the airwaves or seen on screens. Millions of people know her, but have never known her. She is little Mariah and much of this is her vision as she saw it.”

“We’re making our way to Mimi , OK,” Carey explained to the capacity crowd, hundreds of whom came dressed for the occasion in Mimi-inspired ensembles, some of which were adorned with sequins, butterflies or rainbows. Nobody seemed to mind as she then touched on memorable “moments” of her career, some shared with brief anecdotes or introductions. “Just for the nostalgia,” she said at one point before retelling a story shared first in her memoir about the behind-the-scenes drama from VH1’s Divas Live with Aretha Franklin. Apparently, the legendary singer told Carey that she was a fan of “Dreamlover,” so she dedicated the track to her.

The pre- Mimi part of the show also featured performances of “Can’t Let Go,” “Hero,” “Without You,” “Fantasy,” “Always Be My Baby,” “Looking In,” a “Butterfly” interlude, “Babydoll,” “Breakdown,” “Close My Eyes,” and a “Heartbreaker” and “Honey” mashup. When it came time to dive into Mimi , Carey had changed outfits a handful of times and admitted that she messed up the choreography for one of her dance routines. “It was better in rehearsal,” quipped Carey, who seemed at her most relaxed, confident self. (“I’m feeling good,” she told the crowd toward the top of the night, an audience that included Brazilian superstar Anitta .)

Alongside The Emancipation of Mimi’ s biggest hits like “We Belong Together,” “Shake it Off” and “Say Something,” Carey also performed “deep cuts” like the fan favorite “Circles,” a track that she said she wrote with “the late, great Big Jim White,” and “Your Girl.” She credited her longtime musical director Daniel Moore with encouraging her to perform “Don’t Forget About Us,” a track that she said she almost skipped over because “I didn’t know if people remembered it anymore.”

Nobody at the Dolby needed to be reminded as they responded with cheers and a standing ovation. The Celebration of Mimi Live continued with another sold-out show on Saturday. Carey continues on through the end of April, with additional dates lined up for July and August. She closed the show with the triumphant power ballad “Fly Like a Bird.” She exited the rear of the stage and offered gestures of gratitude to the dancers, band, singers and her fans on the way out. “I love you profusely,” she said as she walked out, not a moment too soon. “These shoes hurt!”

Mariah Carey's new Vegas residency manages to be both dazzling and down-to-earth

mariah carey asia tour

LAS VEGAS – Moments before wrapping her glossy and efficient new residency show, Mariah Carey wanted to share a message.

“Protect your dreams,” she intoned on video as the text scrolled across a halo of lighting. “It’s all about faith. For me, I can’t define it, but it has defined me.”

Uplifting messages permeate Carey’s production at Dolby Live at Park MGM, officially dubbed " Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas ."

The 90-minute show – Carey’s third Vegas residency – premiered last week in honor of the near-20-year anniversary of the album “The Emancipation of Mimi.” After performances on April 24, 26 and 27, she’ll return for eight dates in July and August. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday via ticketmaster.com.

What songs does Mariah Carey play in her new Vegas residency?

Much like U2’s run at the Sphere, where “Achtung Baby” grabbed the spotlight, Carey’s show ostensibly highlights her hip-hop-inflected return in 2005. “Mimi” not only snagged eight Grammy nominations in 2006, but with bright production from Jermaine Dupri , it birthed hits “Shake It Off,” “We Belong Together” and “It’s Like That,” among others.

Devout fans will cherish hearing “Fly Like a Bird” – which closes her set – and “I Wish You Knew,” as neither song has been played frequently since 2006. Likewise “Circles,” which has rarely been heard on stage in a decade , and the equally infrequent “Say Somethin.’”

But from the moment a stately curtain parted to connect Carey, 55, with her “lambs,” her thigh-baring champagne-colored gown perfectly positioned and her honey-hued hair cascading onto her shoulders, it was apparent Carey’s decades of hits wouldn’t be shunned.

As sliding platforms glided behind her, Carey dug into “Vision of Love,” hitting her glass-shattering notes with seeming ease. A pack of male dancers slipped on and off the stage as Carey, tiptoeing in stilettos to get closer to fans bearing gifts, shimmied through “Make It Happen.”

During a lush ballad combo – “Can’t Let Go” and her searing cover of The Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There” – Carey looked beatific as her chin quivered while again reaching for those skyscraper notes.

Most of the songs were reproduced in full, but it’s too bad her rewarding take on “Without You,” the aching ballad most associated with Harry Nilsson, was one of a few presented in shortened form.

But from the peak syrup of “Hero” to the thumping beat of “Fantasy,” Carey offered fans a gratifying overview of her own eras.

Mariah Carey carries herself like a diva, but is she really?

One of the most e ndearing traits a bout Carey is that while she enlists two of her dancers to carry the train of one of her beaded gowns as she arrives to sing “Circles” and grins while her makeup is retouched at the start of “Say Somethin’,” it all unfolds with obvious self-deprecation.

Carey might be gussied up in high-end couture from designers including Gaurav Gupta and Robert Wun, but she’s a Long Islander at heart, a down-to-earth entertainer with undiminished moxie and quick wit (“My earring fell off. We’re getting off to a wonderful start,” she joked after a couple of songs at Wednesday’s performance).

She shared a story about Aretha Franklin tutoring her not to accept anyone “playing games” while rehearsing for the 1998 “Divas Live” concert and frequently attempted to sign swag – or, on this night, a forearm – for the zealous fans clustered at the front of the stage.

“I want to sign all of these things, but it’s too haaaaard ,” Carey said with mock exasperation (in reality, she was a bit too far to safely lean into the crowd).

The luminous Carey positions herself as an untouchable diva, and indeed, the show segment that featured her reclining on a blush velvet couch for the dramatic ballad “Looking In” furthered the expectation.

But the maven of the “Lambily” that has supported her for decades isn't so much a prima donna but an icon.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Announces 2024 Inductees: Cher, Jimmy Buffett, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews, Peter Frampton, Foreigner and More

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed the names of 16 artists or other musical figures who will be inducted in 2024. It’s a diverse list that stretches from R&B/rock pioneer Big Mama Thornton to pop superstars Cher and Dionne Warwick, and from ’70s-rooted rockers like Peter Frampton, Foreigner and Ozzy Osbourne to ’90s icons the Dave Matthews Band , Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest.

That honorary category is also the side door through which the committee installed two other performers who had been nominated before without ever being selected by voters: Warwick and MC5. The latter group had been nominated six times without ever being voted in (only Chic had been nominated more times and remained shut out); with the “musical excellence” classification, the Rock Hall finally took matters into its own hands in installing the influential 1960s quintet.

For the first time, the inductees were announced as part of an “American Idol” broadcast, during a Sunday night episode themed around the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Following is the complete list of inductees for 2024:

Performer Category:

  • Mary J. Blige
  • Dave Matthews Band
  • Peter Frampton
  • Kool & The Gang
  • Ozzy Osbourne
  • A Tribe Called Quest

Musical Influence Award:

  • Alexis Korner
  • John Mayall
  • Big Mama Thornton

Musical Excellence Award:

  • Jimmy Buffett
  • Dionne Warwick
  • Norman Whitfield

Ahmet Ertegun Award :

  • Suzanne de Passe

The eight “performer” inductees are the ones selected by a ballot sent out to the Hall’s voters after the 15 nominees were announced on Feb. 10.

That leaves seven nominees from this year who will have to wait for another crack at getting in: Mariah Carey, Jane’s Addiction, Sade, Sinead O’Connor, Oasis, Lenny Kravitz and the duo Eric B. and Rakim.

One question mark now is how Cher will react to her induction. Just last December, in an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she said, “You know what, I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars … I’m never going to change my mind. They can just go you-know-what themselves.” At that point, though, she had never received so much as a nomination, so the odds favor her changing her tune on that vow, now that she got voted in her first time actually appearing on the ballot.

Five out of the eight voted in this year were first-time nominees: Osbourne, Cher, Frampton, Foreigner and Kool & the Gang.

A Tribe Called Quest got in on the hip-hop collective’s third time on the ballot (and their third year in a row being nominated). Blige and Matthews both got in on their second try (she was previously up for it in 2021; DMB had a prior nod in 2020).

Frampton, for his part, beyond the merits of having had one of the biggest albums of all time, may be a sentimental favorite this year, due to his being in the acknowledged twilight of his musical career. He has been out on a farewell tour off and on since 2019, following his diagnosis with the debilitating disease inclusion body myositis in 2015. The rocker just wrapped up the last round of dates he had scheduled, although he has not said there won’t be more.

Osbourne becomes a second-time inductee this year; his group Black Sabbath was voted in all the way back in 2006. Sometimes there is contention over whether singers who are already in the Hall of Fame, as group members, really need to be pushed to the front of the line as solo artists, too, ahead of other contenders. In any case, voters decided that Osbourne’s post-Sabbath career established him as one of rock’s major icons, even apart from his initial round of influence and success as a frontman.

De Passe is getting her flowers for a career that included a long stint as one of the major players at Motown, developing the Jackson 5 into superstars and signing the Commodores, among other triumphs, before becoming a film and TV executive. She was profiled by Variety about her long and wide-ranging career in 2022.

Motown is also being celebrated with the induction of Whitfield, a songwriter and producer whose astonishing catalog of hits in the ’60s and ’70s included “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Just My Imagination,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “War,” “Ball of Confusion,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “(I Know) I’m Losing You,” “I Wish It Would Rain,” “I Can’t Get Next to You” and “Car Wash.” He died in 2008.

Coming on under the “musical influences” umbrella, Alexis Korner may be the name among this year’s inductees that is least known to contemporary music fans. He was a major player in the British blues scene of the 1960s and became a popular broadcaster as well; he died in 1984 at age 55. With John Mayall also being selected by the committee for the same honor, it’s an unexpected banner year for British blues-rockers.

Mariah Carey Taps Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks to Be Her ‘Super Glam Squad’ at Las Vegas Concert

Mariah Carey Invites Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks on Stage to Give Her a Makeover 118

Mariah Carey brought out her star-studded “super glam squad” during her Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi Live show.

Carey, 55, tapped Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks to fix her makeup while performing in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 21. Midway through the concert, the two models hopped on stage and dramatically acted as Carey’s glam team as she sang “Say Somethin.’” Klum, 50, crouched down with a hairbrush and combed Carey’s blonde locks as Banks, 50, patted a makeup brush against the singer’s forehead, chest and legs.

Carey then hilariously grabbed the brush from Banks and swept it across her and Klum’s faces.

After their act, the women exited the stage as Carey blew them a kiss. She later reflected on the moment via Instagram.
