AMP presents Disney Pixar’s Coco in Concert on Tour featuring a screening of the complete film with Oscar® and Grammy®-winning composer Michael Giacchino’s musical score performed by the 20-member Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México, conducted by Esin Aydingoz. In addition to the original score by Giacchino, “Coco” also features the Oscar®-winning song “Remember Me” by Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and additional songs co-written by Germaine Franco and co-director and screenwriter Adrian Molina.

About the Movie: Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México (biography)

Orquesta folclórica nacional de méxico.

The Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México of the Ballet Folclórico Nacional de México by Silvia Lozano, is a musical group that stands out for its ability to fuse pre-Hispanic instruments with instruments from the colonial era, thus creating a unique and distinctive sound that evokes the rich history and culture of Mexico.

This orchestra is made up of expert musicians who are highly trained in the interpretation of a wide variety of genres and styles of Mexican folk music, such as Mariachi music, Jarana music, Son music, and Huapango music, among others. In addition, their repertoire includes songs and instrumental pieces dating from pre-Hispanic and colonial times, which allows them to connect with the country’s historical and cultural roots.

Among the instruments used by the Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México are traditional pre-Hispanic drums, such as the “Huehuetl “and “Tepobaztli”, as well as flutes, “Ocarinas” and other pre-Hispanic wind instruments. They also use guitars, violins, double basses, and other stringed instruments that date back to colonial times, resulting in a unique and surprising sound combination.

In conjunction with the dancers of the Ballet Folclórico Nacional de México by Silvia Lozano, the Orquesta Folclórica manages to transmit to the public the energy, passion, and diversity of Mexican culture through its music and dance, creating an authentic and exciting experience for all those who have the pleasure of enjoying the show.

Michael Giacchino (biography)

Michael giacchino.

Composer MICHAEL GIACCHINO has credits that feature some of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including The Incredibles, War for the Planet of the Apes, Ratatouille, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Coco. Giacchino’s 2009 score for the Pixar hit Up earned him an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, the BAFTA, the Broadcast Film Critics’ Choice Award and two GRAMMY® Awards.

Giacchino studied filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. After college, he landed a marketing job at Disney and began studies in music composition, first at Juilliard, and then at UCLA. He moved from marketing to producing in the newly formed Disney Interactive Division where he had the opportunity to write music for video games.

After moving to DreamWorks Interactive, he was asked to score the temp track for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Subsequently, Steven Spielberg hired him as the composer and it became the first PlayStation game to have a live orchestral score, recorded with members of the Seattle Symphony. Giacchino went on to score numerous video games including Spielberg’s Medal of Honor series.

Giacchino’s work in video games sparked the interest of J.J. Abrams, and thus began their long-standing relationship that would lead to scores for the hit television series Alias and Lost, and the feature films Mission Impossible III, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness.

Additional projects include collaborations with Disney Imagineering on music for Space Mountain, Star Tours (with John Williams), the Ratatouille ride in Disneyland Paris, and the Incredicoaster on Pixar Pier at California Adventure. Giacchino was the musical director of the 81st Annual Academy Awards®. His music can be heard in concert halls internationally with all three Star Trek films, Ratatouille, Jurassic World, Up and Coco being performed live-to-picture with a full orchestra. In June 2018, Giacchino premiered his first work for symphony orchestra, Voyage. Commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, the piece celebrates the 60th anniversary of the founding of NASA. In July 2019, a third movement was added for the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing.

Jojo Rabbit , the critically acclaimed Fox Searchlight film written and directed by Taika Waititi, earned Giacchino a BAFTA nomination this year. His upcoming projects set to release in 2021 include Matt Reeves’ The Batman .

Giacchino serves as the Governor of the Music Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and sits on the advisory board of Education Through Music Los Angeles.

Esin Aydingoz (biography)

“Coco In Concert” Music Director, Esin Aydingoz, is an emerging conductor and composer working in a wide range of genres, including animation, silent films, documentaries, TV series, video games and stage musicals. Originally from Turkey, Esin moved to the United States to study at Berklee College of Music, where she recently served as the Assistant Chair of the Screen Scoring Department.

Ms. Aydingoz was nominated by the Society of Composers & Lyricists for the prestigious David Raksin Award for Emerging Talent for scoring the feature film “Simchas and Sorrows” and her cello arrangement of Paint It Black, featured in Tim Burton’s Golden Globe-nominated Netflix series “Wednesday,” reached #1 on the Billboard Classical Charts, with over seventeen million Spotify plays. Her latest documentary score for “Black Barbie” premiered at SXSW and her music for “The Monster of the Desert” and “Noor” both won multiple awards, including Best Score, on the indie film circuit.

Ms. Aydingoz has conducted live-to-picture on tour with the Berklee Silent Film Orchestra, was the assistant music director of Disney’s a cappella singing sensation “DCappella” and has created arrangements for multiple Disney recordings and performances. Ms. Aydingoz’s arrangements have been performed by Grammy-Award winning artists such as Lalo Schifrin, Booker T. Jones, and 2003 Eurovision winner Sertab Erener.

As a mentor for Sound Thinking NYC, board member for the Society of Composers and Lyricists, and and an active leader of the Alliance for Women Film Composers, Esin is dedicated to making the world a better place through music.

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s World Tour Setlist: All the Songs They Performed For Their First Show of 2024

Fans were delayed but not denied their visit from The Boss Tuesday night (March 19) in Phoenix as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band relaunched their world tour after a six-month break. 

Springsteen was originally slated to play the Arizona date on Nov. 30 last year, but it was one of 29 shows postponed after he came off the road in early September for treatment for peptic ulcer disease . 

He made no reference to his health troubles (which were clearly in his past, given his extreme energy on stage) until the closing tune of the 29-song set, when he apologized for inconveniencing anyone by having to move the show, explaining, “I had a motherf**cker of a bellyache.”

The 2 hour 45 minute concert, which started right at 7:30pm , was a rollicking, high-energy affair. Gone are tour mainstays from the earlier leg, such as the funky “The E Street Shuffle” and the jazzy 7-minute “Kitty’s Back” (both from 1973’s The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle ), and six songs from Springsteen’s last album of original material, 2020’s Letter to You (Tuesday’s show was down to four from that set), replaced with tunes that make for a fast-paced, non-stop thrill ride of a show. 

Springsteen will spend the rest of the year on the road, with more than 50 dates on the 2024 docket, including a European leg that starts in Cardiff, Wales in May and includes multiple stadium shows in cities like Milan, Madrid and Barcelona, before he returns stateside in August for stadium shows.

• Page 13 In order to ensure the ultimate in tone, it’s important to follow the procedure outlined below. Don’t skip steps; don’t jump around. Yes, this may take a minute or two, but the work is well worth it. Once they’ve done it a few times, most users can do it time and again in about a minute.
• Page 14 Once you have properly set your Input Gain, turn the Master Volume up to a comfortable listening level and proceed with the rest of the setup process. Setting the Compressor - If you want to use compression, engage it now by turning the Compressor Defeat switch OFF.
• Page 15 If EQ clipping occurs, you can either decrease the boost or decrease the Input Gain. Remember, too, that our EQ controls are active, and are meant to turn both ways – not just UP! This means that you can enhance a certain frequency spectrum either by boosting that frequency or by cutting the adjacent frequencies.
• Page 16 (apparent) tone, especially in the mids and high end. ANOTHER NOTE: If you are using Dual Mono or Bi-Amp operation, you can use the Balance control to adjust the balance between different cabinet models to achieve your sound.

Missy Elliott announces tour with Ciara, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland — how to get tickets

Missy Elliott's first time headlining a tour will be with people who have been a part of her music since the beginning of her career.

The famed rapper announced her "Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience" tour on social media April 8 and shared that singer Ciara, rapper Busta Rhymes and producer Timbaland will be on the road with her. They have collaborated with Elliott on songs throughout her career.

"ATTENTION IT’S TIME," her caption read. The post was a video featuring Elliott, Ciara and Busta Rhymes in an intergalactic space as they try to figure out where they are. Elliott then calls who she refers to as Tim, most likely Timbaland, for help.

"These three icons come together to show you something you've never seen before," Elliott says in the video.

“'OUT OF THIS WORLD'TOUR across NORTH AMERICA!!!! With my family @ciara @bustarhymes & @timbaland This Spaceship will be Landing NEAR YOU RUN 4 COVER!" she added in the caption.

Elliott said in a press release announcing the news that she's in a season of firsts, even in this advanced stage of her career. She has released six albums and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2023. She also holds an honorary doctorate in music degree from Berklee College of Music.

“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts,’” she said. “Being the FIRST female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour."

She said there's been fan interest in her going on tour for some time, but she waited until it felt right to her.

"Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family! So get ready to be taken OUT OF THIS WORLD with me, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland! We can’t wait to share this experience with the fans!" she said.

The tour lineup could not be more exciting for super fans and is currently scheduled to have stops across the U.S. and in Canada during July and August.

Why is Missy Elliott going on tour with Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Ciara?

Elliott has worked with all three artists over the years.

In 2019, Elliott wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Timbaland produced her 1997 debut studio album "Supa Dupa Fly" in just two weeks. Timbaland and Busta Rhymes are both featured on the "Work It" singer's first studio album.

Elliott has teamed up with Ciara on classic songs like "1, 2 Step" (2004) and “Lose Control” (2005).

How to get tickets to Missy Elliott's tour

Tickets will become available for Verizon presale on April 9 at 10 a.m. local time for each concert location, according to the press release and Ticketmaster .

Once presale tickets are available, fans can purchase tickets through Verizon Up until the window closes April 11 at 10 p.m.

Additional presales will run throughout the week leading up to the general onsale starting on April 12 at 10 a.m. on the singer's website , the release said.

Plenty of versatile controls.

Sculpt your ideal bass sound, with the array of controls on-board this World Tour Pro Head. There is 5-band EQ that consists of High, Mid, Low, Bass and Enhance controls for adjusting the frequencies. For even deeper tonal shaping, there is also a 30-300HZ knob that allows users to choose the frequency that is adjusted by the Low control. As well as a 200-2KHZ for controlling the Mid knob, and a 1.2KHZ-12KHZ for adjusting the High control.

In addition, there is an Input Gain control that fine tunes the signal that is sent to the preamp, a Tube Mix knob for blending the 2 tubes including one that is used in Eden's classic amplifiers and another that enhances the tone with warmth and aggression. Finally, for studio quality compression, this World Tour Pro Head has an Amount and a Ratio that react accordingly to where the register notes are played.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Missy Elliott is about to do something she's never done in her 30-year career: She's heading out on her very first tour as the headliner!

The hip-hop icon, who has sold 40 million records worldwide, will perform in 24 cities this year, and she'll be in good company. Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland are joining her for this musical ride.

"Out of This World: The Missy Elliott Experience Tour" kicks off July 4 in Vancouver.

The tour will be here at Oakland Arena on July 9.

Elliott said, "Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big!"

Celebrating 17 years of her genre-spanning music with tributes to the songs, costumes, and Easter eggs that have made her a global superstar, The Eras Tour is the first-ever tour to gross over $1 billion in revenue.

The tour has made Swift a billionaire and boosts the economies of every city it visits with an estimated $4.6 billion in US consumer spending connected to the concerts. Swift's opening shows in Glendale, Arizona, generated more local revenue than the Super Bowl.

Here are photos that capture some of the most memorable moments of The Eras Tour — so far. After completing legs in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Australia, and Singapore, Swift continues on to Europe this summer and circles back to the US in the fall.

To celebrate the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)," Swift brought out the koi-fish guitar from her Speak Now Tour to play "Long Live" in Kansas City, Missouri, in July 2023.
