Fairfield University strongly recommends a campus visit, which may consist of an information session, personal interview, and/or campus tour. While not required for admission, interviews provide our staff with greater insight into your strengths and potential contributions to the Fairfield Community. Interviews may be scheduled between April of your junior year through January of your senior year. Campus tours are available year round. Please call the Office of Undergraduate Admission at (203) 254-4100 to schedule an interview or confirm tour and information session availability, or go to Visit Fairfield to register on-line.

Using the Map

Celebrate the solar eclipse with one of these five campus and Oxford watch parties

Enjoy one or all three watch parties on Miami University’s Oxford campus; stop by the two parties at City of Oxford parks

The solar eclipse will enter Ohio at approximately 1:53 p.m. on Monday, April 8. 

Totality in Oxford will start at 3:08:23 p.m. and will last 2 minutes and 51 seconds. 

Miami has purchased 30,000 eclipse glasses ; residential students should have received glasses delivered to their room over spring break. Anyone else can pick up a pair at Armstrong Student Center, at the outdoor seal from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, or during the MAP watch party at Cook Field. NASA offers helpful tips on eye safety during a total solar eclipse.

University managers and supervisors should be flexible as appropriate with any staff who wish to take a few minutes to observe the eclipse and encourage the use of appropriate eye protection, said Dawn Fahner, associate vice president for Human Resources.

Though classes will be held that day, faculty are encouraged to take their students outside to watch with appropriate eye protection and discuss, said provost Elizabeth Mullenix. Glasses are available at the front desk at the Armstrong Student Center.

Art Museum Sculpture Park: A Total Eclipse of the Parks

• 2-5 p.m., Sculpture Park tours with an astronomical theme. Sponsored by the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum and Sculpture Park.

• 1-5 p.m.,   Food trucks, live music featuring the Thumbtack Mechanics.
