PARKWAY DRIVE Announces Fall 2023 North American Tour With THE AMITY AFFLICTION, NORTHLANE And MAKE THEM SUFFER

Australian metal juggernauts PARKWAY DRIVE — Winston McCall (vocals),  Luke Kilpatrick (guitar),  Jeff Ling (guitar),  Jia O'Connor (bass) and Ben Gordon (drums) — are returning to North America for a fall 2023 headline tour. The band will also appear at several festivals, including Louder Than Life and Aftershock .

The "Monsters Of Oz" tour, which follows PARKWAY DRIVE 's highly successful, sold-out winter 2023 run, is special as it marks PARKWAY DRIVE 's 20th anniversary as a band.

The trek will feature an all-Aussie lineup, with THE AMITY AFFLICTION as direct support. NORTHLANE and MAKE THEM SUFFER round out the bill.

A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Wednesday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time and end on Thursday, April 20 at 10:00 p.m. local time. When prompted, type in the presale code "BBMPWD23" to access tickets before the general public. General on-sale will be Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m. local time.

As part of the anniversary celebration, PARKWAY DRIVE 's "Don't Close Your Eyes" will be available on vinyl for the first time ever. This expanded version of the band's 2004 debut includes the original eight tracks, with the addition of bonus tracks included from their split album with I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN and compilation albums "What We've Built" and "True Til Death, Volume 1" . It will be available August 18.

Parkway Drive Announce ‘Monsters of Oz’ 20th Anniversary Tour With The Amity Affliction, Northlane + Make Them Suffer

Two decades. That's a big deal for many bands to achieve, and Australia's Parkway Drive know just exactly how they want to celebrate, by playing for their fans this fall. The group will bring their "Monsters of Oz" tour back tot he U.S. for a fall 2023 headline tour.

Frontman Winston McCall says, "Twenty years is a milestone in any career. The journey that has lead us to this moment has been insane, to say the least. We wanted to mark this time with a tour that represents who we are and where we come from. For the first time on North American soil, we are bringing the fully-formed version of the Parkway Drive live experience, and if that wasn't enough, we're bringing an all-Australian lineup with us. No compromise, no surrender. This is who we are — The Monsters Of Oz. Come celebrate with us and burn it all away."

Speaking of that all-Aussie lineup, The Amity Affliction will appear as direct support on the run, while Northlane and Make Them Suffer make this a bill with some of the finest heavy music that Australia has to offer.

The tour gets underway Sept. 10 in Atlanta and finds the band playing the Louder Than Life and Aftershock Festivals as part of the tour run, wrapping up at Aftershock on Oct. 7 just shy of a month after the tour kickoff. See all the stops listed below.

It should also be noted that to help mark the band's 20th anniversary, Parkway Drive will be making Don't Close Your Eyes available on vinyl for the first time ever. The expanded vinyl edition of the band's 2004 debut album features the original release plus bonus tracks taken from their split album with I Killed the Prom Queen as well as the compilation albums What We've Built and True Til Death, Vol. 1 . Parkway Drive Share 2023 US Tour Dates

Parkway Drive just announced their new and upcoming 2023 US tour dates. This tour will start in Winter 2023 and the “ Darker Still ” album released now via Epitaph Records and their return to the U.S. in over three years.

Parkway Drive will kick off the tour on January 22 to January 28 at Shiprocked and will end the tour on February 18th, 2023 in Orlando, Florida, USA. This year Parkway Drive’s seventh studio album, “Darker Still” was released via Resist and Epitaph Records on September 9th, 2022. George Hadji-Christou produced the album.

During the tour, Memphis May Fire and Currents will provide support for Parkway Drive’s upcoming tour .

Summary of “Darker Still” album:

On January 2022, Parkway Drive announced a May and June North American tour with Hatebreed, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Stick to Your Guns. On April 2022, they announced the tour’s cancellation, and shared this: “The relentless nature of being in this band has given us very little time to reflect on who we are as individuals, who we want to be, and the toll it is taking on ourselves and our friendships.”

After that, Parkway Drive shared a statement on May 23 that they would take a break from the activity for their mental health. However, Parkway Drive members say we are staying here for making music.

Following a series of teaser trailers on a few more social media platforms. The band launched a brand new track titled “Glitch” along with a music video on June 7th, 2022.

On June 8, the band stated that their Fall 2022 European tour with Lorna Shore and While She Sleeps will go on as planned, with a rebrand and new music to accompany the tour. On July 6, the band released its second single, “The Greatest Fear,” along with a music video. At the same moment, they formally announced the album, as well as the album cover, track list, and release date. The band released their third single and title tune “Darker Still” in August 2022.

Parkway Drive announces winter 2023 U.S. headline tour

Australian metal band Parkway Drive will return to the United States for a headline tour in early 2023. It will be the band’s first U.S. tour in support of its seventh album, “Darker Still” (Epitaph Records), and its first time touring the U.S. since April 2019.

Memphis May Fire and Currents also will appear. Tickets are available  here .

Parkway Drive Announce 2023 U.S. Tour Dates

It is the band’s first American run since 2019

Australian metal juggernauts Parkway Drive are returning to the U.S. next year for a headlining tour. The band is touring in support of their latest album Darker Still which is out now via Epitaph Records. It’s also the first time the band has toured the U.S. since April 2019.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now HERE

The trek begins with an appearance on the Shiprocked Cruise from January 22 through January 28. Upon docking, the band will kick off the tour with a performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 31. Parkway Drive will perform in Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, Nashville, Charlotte, and more. The run wraps up on February 18 with a performance at HeartSupport Festival in Orlando, FL. Memphis May Fire and Currents will serve as special guests on all headlining dates.

PARKWAY DRIVE Announce Fall 2023 U.S. Headline “Monsters of Oz” Tour + Band Celebrating 20th Anniversary

Australian metal juggernauts  PARKWAY DRIVE —  Winston McCall  (vocals),  Luke Kilpatrick (guitar),  Jeff Ling (guitar), Jia O’Connor (bass), and  Ben Gordon (drums) — are returning to the U.S. for a Fall 2023 headline tour. The band will also appear at several festivals, including L ouder Than Life  and Aftershock . 

The “Monsters of Oz” tour, which follows PARKWAY DRIVE ‘s highly successful, sold-out Winter 2023 run, is special as it marks Parkway Drive ‘s 20th anniversary as a band. The trek will feature an all-Aussie lineup, with The Amity Affliction as direct support.  Northlane and Make Them Suffer round out the bill.

“20 years is a milestone in any career,” says McCall .  “The journey that has lead us to this moment has been insane, to say the least. We wanted to mark this time with a tour that represents who we are and where we come from. For the first time on North American soil, we are bringing the fully-formed version of the Parkway Drive live experience, and if that wasn’t enough, we’re bringing an all-Australian lineup with us. No compromise, no surrender. This is who we are — The Monsters Of Oz . Come celebrate with us and burn it all away.”

As part of the anniversary celebration, “ Don’ t Close Your Eye s” will be available on vinyl for the first time ever. This expanded version of the band’s 2004 debut includes the original eight tracks, with the addition of bonus tracks included from their split album with I Killed The Prom Queen and compilation albums “ What We’ve Built and True Til Death, Volume 1″ .  It will be available August 18. Parkway Drive Reverence Was Just AMAZING To Say The Least, The Band Was Full Of Energy And Put On A Spectacular Performance, I Will Definitely Seeing Them Again When They Come Through!!! And Killswitch Engage Was Just Amazing As Well Put Out Some Awesome Tunes!! Unfortunately I Missed Thy Art Is Murder, Didn't Get In Early Enough But From What I Heard They Were Awesome As Well!!! Love All Three Bands To Death!!!!!!!

10/10 show. Great setlist, amazing energy and the crowd was clearly there to party. Winston's vocals sounded incredible and the boys in the band crushed their sections too.

The "No moshing or crowdsurfing" rule was quickly ignored. Can't stress enough how fun the crowd was and PWD fed off that energy all night.

Troye Sivan wins song of the year at 2024 Apra awards for Rush

Sivan shared the Apra award with music producer Styalz Fuego, who co-wrote Rush

Troye Sivan took home the top prize at the Australian Performing Rights Association (Apra) awards on Wednesday night, winning song of the year for his track Rush.

The lead single from Sivan’s acclaimed 2023 album Something to Give Each Other , Rush is a lascivious ode to queer nightlife inspired by the gay clubs of Melbourne’s Smith Street. “I wanted to go ballistic,” Sivan told the Guardian last year, of his time in the clubs post pandemic lockdowns.

Sivan’s win at the Apra awards continues a string of accolades over the past six months. Rush earned the Australian pop star his first Grammy nominations for best pop dance recording and best music video earlier this year, while Something to Give Each Other appeared on year-end lists issued by Billboard, NME, Nylon, the Hollywood Reporter and the Guardian as well as topping the Aria charts.

Sivan shared the Apra award with music producer Styalz Fuego, who co-wrote Rush. Both have won Apras in past: Sivan was named breakthrough songwriter of the year in 2017 and Fuego won the same prize in 2013. The award has been renamed emerging songwriter for the 2024 ceremony, held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.

Song of the year is the only peer-voted category at the Apras, where most awards are determined by airplay and royalties. The Apra board of directors does have discretion over a few categories, including songwriter and emerging songwriter of the year.

Dean Lewis was also a big winner this year, taking home both most performed Australian work and pop work for his track How Do I Say Goodbye, written in the aftermath of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

“Thank you to my dad,” Lewis said in a pre-recorded message. “He’s doing great, doing fine. He’s just had the best time coming on tour with me.”

Blues duo the Teskey Brothers won songwriter for the year, while emerging songwriter went to western Sydney indie artist Grentperez, who became a viral sensation from his covers on YouTube and TikTok.

“As a Filipino Australian artist I feel seen, as well as coming out from western Sydney … the creativity is emerging from everywhere,” Perez said.

Perez was one of several first-time winners this year. Taylor Swift also became an Apras debutante, winning international work of the year for Anti-Hero, after three previous nominations for Love Story, Blank Space and Style.

Other first-timers included garage duo Polish Club, who won most performed rock work for Good Time; drill group OneFour, who won in the hip-hop category for Comma’s (featuring CG); Parkway Drive, who won the inaugural hard rock/heavy metal award for Darker Still; and electronic duo Shouse, who won in the dance category for Never Let You Go, their collaboration with Jason Derulo.

Multiple previous winners also returned. Pop star Sia won her 12th Apra award for Gimme Love while beloved alternative band Birds of Tokyo took home their seventh Apra award for Daylight. Both Casey Barnes and Ziggy Alberts won their second prizes – the former a country award for Summer Nights and the latter a blues and rock award for Dancing in the Dark.
